signature of the oversized https request

Hi, is it possible that we can trigger an alarm when an https request exceeds a certain size?

I can define a type state.http signature using parameters such as the following? MaxRequestFieldLength takes into account the fragmentation of application data by ssl?

-Direction = ToService

-MaxRequestFieldLength = 1000000

-servicePorts = 443

-AlarmThrottle = FireOnce

-MinHits = 1

-ResetAfterIdle = 15

-ThrottleInterval = 15

-WantFlag = TRUE

If this does not work, would you please suggest alternatives. Thank you.

I looked into it, and it does not seem that this will really be feasible with the help of a personal signature. First, you must use the STRING. TCP engine for this. THE STATE. Engine HTTP needs context information in the HTTP stream in order to work properly. Because the HTTPS protocol is encrypted traffic, we have not these signals. So there's basically trying to count bytes in a HTTPS stream. Two problems here. First of all, the implementation of regex in STRING. TCP is limited to 512 ~ States for performance reasons. So, we will build only a model to 512 or more characters. This obviously does not follow the large desired patterns. Secondly, we need some sort of condition of single endpoint, a character model, at the end of the regex model with. Due to the random nature of characters in the encrypted HTTPS data, we do not have the guarantee that our terminator will not unexpectedly appear in the stream for giving us no good way to determine, we have reached the end of the search. This signature will probably be coded in a new engine.

  • The following HTTP requests fail in the Simulator, but not on the device (4.2.1)

    Anyone had this problem before?  I do a HTTP request and then according to the return add another to my queue and the other repeatedly fails on the Simulator.  However, I tried to run on the device and everything worked perfectly.  I know this is a pretty vague description, but I was wondering if there was any problem known about.  He could make debugging in the simulator that is very difficult in the future.

    marchywka, I think it has something to do with the WiFi in the Simulator.  It works the first time, but in certain circumstances later fail.

    I couldn't understand it, but I decided to not use WiFi when it is the Simulator and use WiFi on the device.

  • How to get AFExecuteThisScript to return the value of Net.HTTP.request (asynchronous)?

    I have an Acrobat only plugin, developed in 2005 VS.  Originally with Acrobat 7 SDK, now updated to use Acrobat 9 SDK.  The ultimate goal of this feature is to open a PDF file from a web server Agile: If a user string, a URL is created, a request sent to the URL, then pay back the answer.  The answer can be either the PDF itself or a string path to the PDF file.  I thought it would be easier to use the version of PDF path to simply open the new PDF of the http:// address.

    I created a folder level javascript with a call to Net.HTTP.request confidence.  I have a script that works when invoked from a menu item added by the folder level javascript file.  But when you use this same command in my C++ with AFExecuteThisScript code, I can't get the HTTP response to finish pending in the code for the result.

    The Net.HTTP.request and the asynchronous callbacks confuse me, so maybe that's my big problem.  I could not Net.HTTP.request to return a value in a service simple javascript right now, I'm trying to use a "global" variable in the JavaScript folder level and two calls.  The first call "sets" the global variable, the other "becomes" it.  But this seems to be the issue.  When I have my code debugging or stop execution, the part of the response of the Net.HTTP.request is never called.  But when I left to go beyond this step with error recovery, the answer appears later.

    So how kick off of the Net.HTTP.request and be notified when it's over?  either in JavaScript or VC ++?

    Any help is appreciated.  Even if the best option is to stream the file from the web server to a local file and then open the (this is the option that I take in another tool that runs outside of Acrobat).

    Here's the code.

    Javascript controls at the level of the files (urls truncated for the post)

    var THE_PATH = '';

    function setTHE_PATH ( gURL ) {
        console.println('setTHE_PATH Begin');
        var params =
        {
            cVerb: 'GET',
            cURL: gURL,
            oHandler:
                {
                    response: function( msg, uri, e)
                    {
                        console.println('response method: Setting Path');
                        THE_PATH = SOAP.stringFromStream( msg );
                        console.println('<<' + THE_PATH + '>>');
                    }
                }
        };
        console.println('URL: ' + params.cURL + '\n  oHandler: ' + params.oHandler );
        console.println('Path: ' + THE_PATH );
        var netResult = trustedNetHTTPrequest(params);
        console.println('setTHE_PATH End');
        return THE_PATH;
    };

    trustedNetHTTPrequest = app.trustedFunction(
        function ( params ) {
            console.println('trustedNetHTTPrequest begin');
            app.beginPriv();
            var netResult = Net.HTTP.request( params );
            app.endPriv();
            console.println('trustedNetHTTPrequest end');
            return netResult;
        }
    );

    Added MenuItems with JavaScript at the folder level

    app.addMenuItem( {
        cName: "mysetTHE_PATH",
        cUser: "set THE_PATH", cParent: "Tools",
        cExec: "setTHE_PATH('http://......&getURL=true');",
        nPos: 0
    } );

    app.addMenuItem( {
        cName: "mygetTHE_PATH",
        cUser: "get THE_PATH", cParent: "Tools",
        cExec: "console.println( THE_PATH );",
        nPos: 0
    } );

    Here's the JavaScript Console output when you run these two commands:

    setTHE_PATH Begin
    URL: http://......&getURL=true
      oHandler: [object Object]
    Path:
    trustedNetHTTPrequest begin
    trustedNetHTTPrequest end
    setTHE_PATH End
    response method: Setting Path
    <<https://......DesiredFilename.pdf>>

    Here is the function in the plugin C++, with additional measures to prove AFExecuteThisScript works here

    sprintf(jsScript, "testVal='%s';event.value = testVal;", strURL.c_str() );
    AFExecuteThisScript( aPdDoc, jsScript, &pReturnValue );
    // After this, pReturnValue is the passed-in URL, as expected.
    sprintf(jsScript, "setTHE_PATH('%s');event.value = 'Step 1 Worked!!';", strURL.c_str() );
    AFExecuteThisScript( aPdDoc, jsScript, &pReturnValue );
    // After this, pReturnValue is 'Step 1 Worked!!', as expected.
    sprintf(jsScript, "event.value = THE_PATH;", strURL.c_str() );
    AFExecuteThisScript( aPdDoc, jsScript, &pReturnValue );
    // After this, pReturnValue is NULL

    This is the JavaScript Console output when you run the commands using the plugin (mode debugger, to wait after step 1)

    setTHE_PATH Begin
    URL: http://......&getURL=true
      oHandler: [object Object]
    Path:
    trustedNetHTTPrequest begin
    trustedNetHTTPrequest end
    setTHE_PATH End

    Note that he never gets to the part of the "method of response.

    Thank you!

    You need not limit yourself to the plugin API. The requests HTTP from C/C++ is a fairly common condition, just observe the restrictions in my answer.

  • HTTP requests from 3rd party app on BlackBerry consumer

    We have an application that performs a lot of (not through the browser) HTTP requests. Our internal testing is done on devices activated per BES. I've heard reports occasional external users that communications is a failure and I guess that carriers are restricting certain types of HTTP requests. (Also, I see that Viigo has download separately for consumer and Enterprise devices).

    I got the impression that HTTP requests are OK as long as they were not on the user interface thread. Can someone point me to a single set of rules or practices for HTTP requests from applications 3rd party on consumer phones?

  • OSX Apache Server: how to redirect the http request?

    Hi all

    I have a Mini Mac OSX Server El Capitan running. It already serves some sites. Normal Server Web sites:

    -site1.example.com

    -site2.example.com

    Now, I have installed an application that has its own built-in web server. This application would be normally accessible via http on port 80. However, http on port 80 connections are automatically considered trapped by integrated apache of the OSX Server. Therefore, I now put the web application to run in a different port to apache. I also setup a subdomain, so that users can access this application directly, but they also have to type in the port in the URL - for example, the new web app site is reachable at the:

    -myapp.example.com:7117

    What I would do, is for users to simply access the application using:

    -monappli.exemple.com

    I know that there is a way for us to have apache to "Reroute" all requests for a specific to an internal port subdomain automatically, but I don't even know where to start. What are the files we need to configure on OSX Server? How configure us them?

    Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    I had the same requirement and has resolved the way you want to as described below.

    1. Define the additional app to run on another port
    2. Create a site in.app using port 80 and the same host name you want to use for the additional application
    3. Set up a redirection for this site in.app as follows
    4. Source = /, Destination = http://hostname.domain.com:1234 /, Status = Permanent (301)

    Of course, use the correct host name, the domain and port for your situation.

    PS. the same approach I have described above also can be used to redirect the corresponding https port 80 or 443 site.

  • Today, I have a problem with the HTTP request

    Well, this time, I try to get an image .png from a URL. To get this I do the following:

    try{   if (CoverageInfo.isOutOfCoverage()){      setError("No hay covertura suficiente de la red");        errorFlag = true; } else{     c = (HttpConnection)Connector.open(url);      is = c.openDataInputStream();     for(int j=0;j

    My problem is the second 'try' returns: "java.lang.illegalArgumentException". I don't really know much on HTTP conections, so I don't know that I have a lot of wrong code

    in other words, I'm moving to the java language this short code on the C++ language:

    WebRequest request = System.Net.WebRequest.Create(url);HttpWebResponse response = (HttpWebResponse)request.GetResponse();Stream datos = response.GetResponseStream();Imagen = new Bitmap(datos);pb1.Image = Imagen;datos.Close();response.Close();

    can someone help me?

    Thank you RexDoug and peter_strange,

    in the book "java J2ME a tope"-unfortunately or fortunately (for me), it is in Spanish - explain everything about HTTP request and how to interpret correctly the answer. Finally with the following code, I solved my problem:

    try{
        //ask if i have coverage
        if (CoverageInfo.isOutOfCoverage()){
            setError("No hay covertura suficiente de la red");
            errorFlag = true;
        }
        else{
            //create connection
            c = (HttpConnection)Connector.open(url);
            c.setRequestMethod(HttpConnection.GET);
            is = c.openInputStream();

            //process response
            if(c.getResponseCode()==HttpConnection.HTTP_OK){
                size = (int)c.getLength();
                if(size != -1){
                    data = new byte[size];
                    is.read(data, 0, data.length);
                    imagen = Bitmap.createBitmapFromBytes(data, 0, -1, 1);
                }
                else{
                    ByteArrayOutputStream byteArray = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
                    int stream;
                    while((stream=is.read())!=-1){
                        byteArray.write(stream);
                    }
                    data = new byte[byteArray.size()];
                    data = byteArray.toByteArray();
                    byteArray.close();
                    imagen = Bitmap.createBitmapFromBytes(data, 0, -1, 1);
                }
            }
            //close connections
            c.close();
            is.close();
        }

    -Web portal Shutdown and the browser not found poster

    -Clientless SSL VPN is disabled.

    Here's my problem: (this problem is causing my external PCI analysis to failure, it is a failure because the https site use ssl3.0 or TLS 1.0)

    1. from an external PC, I open any browser and go to the IP address of my firewall (e.g. https://8.8.8.8)

    2. the browser gives a warning about an untrusted certificate.

    3. If I click on continue, then the browser tries to go to the Web portal connection but then shows the "Cannot display Page" page

    What I'm trying to do is to stop the firewall to respond to HTTPS requests to the address of WAN IP in the firewall; If I do step 1 of my problem, I want the browser timeout due to no response from the firewall.

    After reading the manuals of the admin and research on this problem, I hit a wall.

    Thank you

    VPN IPSec (IKEv2) remote access requires the use of SSL for the creation of the first session. As much as I know there is no way to avoid. You should explain to your listener that this is necessary and that the absence of other services on this interface is a control to compensate for the use of SSL.

  • Unhandled exception in AXFCustom.launch_command_soap SQLCODE =-29273: ORA-29273: HTTP request failed error when clicking on the EBS Zoom button

    Hello

    I use Oracle EBS, whenever I click on the Zoom button I get the error at the bottom of the page below.

    Unhandled exception in AXFCustom.launch_command_soap SQLCODE =-29273: ORA-29273: HTTP request failed

    When I checked the master.log file I see the error log entry below.

    Please provide your input on this.

    Thank you

    Shakeel

    Hi Shakeel,

    This error occurs when there is some value (which is unnecessary) present in the column "AXF_WalletKey."

    To resolve the above error, please follow the steps below.

    1. connect to AXF schema using SQL developer.

    2. run the command AXF diagram below.

    Call fnd_vault.put ('AXF ', 'AXFWalletKey',' ');

    commit;

    3. disconnect the session of EBS log on again and check the Zoom button.

    Kind regards

    Rahul

  • The characters UTF-8 get corrupted in the HTTP request

    I use the following code to read the response HTTP of Mongo DB to Oracle table. Some parts of the source (of type json) is received in Chinese are corrupt. The line

    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(buf);

    displays these corrupted values.

    FUNCTION FN_READ_CONTACTS_MOB (p_id in number) RETURN NUMBER
    IS
    OracleBatchNumber number := p_id;
    buf NVARCHAR2(32767);
      l_param_list     VARCHAR2(512);

      l_http_request   UTL_HTTP.req;
      l_http_response  UTL_HTTP.resp;

      l_response_text CLOB;

    BEGIN
     DBMS_OUTPUT.ENABLE(1000000);
      -- service's input parameters
    UTL_HTTP.SET_WALLET('file:C:/app/', 'manager1');
      -- preparing Request...
      l_http_request := UTL_HTTP.begin_request('https://api.appery.io/rest/1/db/collections/Outlet_Details?where=%7B%22%24and%22%3A%5B%7B%22Oracle_Flag%22%3A+%22Y%22%7D%2C+%7B%22OracleBatchNo%22%3A+%22'||OracleBatchNumber||'%22%7D%5D%7D'
                                              , 'GET'
                                              , 'HTTP/1.1');

      -- ...set header's attributes
      UTL_HTTP.set_header(l_http_request, 'X-Appery-Database-Id', '53f2dac5e4b02cca64021dbe');
      --UTL_HTTP.set_header(l_http_request, 'Content-Length', LENGTH(l_param_list));

      -- ...set input parameters
     -- UTL_HTTP.write_text(l_http_request, l_param_list);

      -- get Response and obtain received value
      l_http_response := UTL_HTTP.get_response(l_http_request);

    --using a loop read teh response, as UTL_HTTP.read_text hat returns the result as a VARCHAR2 (max 32767) (you have an implicit conversion here).
        BEGIN
          LOOP
            UTL_HTTP.read_text(l_http_response, buf);
            DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(buf);
            l_response_text := l_response_text || buf;
          END LOOP;
        EXCEPTION
        WHEN UTL_HTTP.end_of_body THEN
          NULL;
        END;

     .....

    When I run the following:

    select value from nls_database_parameters where parameter='NLS_CHARACTERSET';

    and he returned: AL32UTF8.

    does not mean that my DB is set to UTF - 8? or there are other things need to be checked for this pupose?

    It seems to me that the answer conatins no content-type header.

    Maybe the link below will clarify the issue:

  • Retrieve the XML via an HTTP request

    Hello

    What would be the most effective way to recover the large XML from Oracle (gr 11, 2) via a HTTP request?
    XML is generated during execution in a stored procedure with either XML SQL statements as
    select xmlelement("text", 'Hello world') from dual;
    or other methods as
    select DBMS_XMLGEN.GETXML ('select ''Hello world'' text from dual') from dual;
    I'm sure I'll be using embedded PL/SQL gateway as an HTTP server, and I can easily manage small XMLs that fit into a VARCHAR2 with a following procedure:
      PROCEDURE HelloWorld AS
        xml xmltype;
      BEGIN
        select xmlelement("text", 'Hello world') into xml from dual;
        owa_util.mime_header('text/xml');
        htp.print(xml.getstringval);
      END;
    Then I she would recover via http:// < hostname >: < port > / < DAD > /HelloWorld

    But I do not know how to handle large (several MB) XMLs.
    I couldn't find anything useful within OWA * or HTP packages and splitting of the CLOB in chunks of 32 K seems inefficient and a little ugly to me.
    Any suggestions?

    With respect,
    Goran

    Hi Goran,

    See this post for a similar situation, it isn't that bad to see: {message identifier: = 10619251}

    Alternatively, you can use Native database Webservice to display the result of the query, and then pull it out via the HTTP protocol.
