  • use mobile hotspot or obtain a sim card data prepaid for iPad

    I have an iPhone 6 more and just paid for an iPad pro and it's my first iPad. I don't know if I can use hotspot on my mobile phone to surf the net on my iPad or to obtain a card sim data prepaid?  Thank you

    First of all, you would be able to create a hotspot from the phone that is supported by your operator. If it is supported, then you would be able to configure it to connect your iPad to. Insofar as you are using a SIM of data prepaid for the iPad, which could be made only if the iPad is a mobile Wi - Fi device. Many are the only Wi - Fi devices and cell phones are not supported. You need to know what type of device you have purchased.

    Now, it is not such a document for 10g and XE on the Oracle Web site. They have updated the document to 11g.

    I found one on the net, this is a PDF document, and it's for 10g:

  • Differences in the editor to compare between JDeveloper 10 and 11

    I have a code which previously opened a Publisher split with files side by side. For JDeveloper 10 code was about:

    DifferenceBlock db = new DifferenceBlock (DifferenceBlock.TYPE_NOCHANGE);
    db.setFirstStart (start1);
    db.setFirstLength (length1);
    db.setSecondStart (start2);
    db.setSecondLength (length2);
    URLContributor contr1 = new URLContributor (url1);
    URLContributor contr2 = new URLContributor (url2);
    Model CompareModel = new TextCompareModel (contr1, contr2, new DifferenceBlock [] {db});
    CompareNode compareNode = new CompareNode (CompareURLHelper.newCompareURL (contr1, contr2, 0));
    compareNode.setModel (model);
    compareNode.setSource (contr1);
    compareNode.setTarget (contr2);
    EditorUtil.openDefaultEditorInFrame (compareNode);

    On 11 running of this code does not work and get NoClassDefFoundError. I tried to browse the API for 11 and found oracle.oracle.javatools.compare.CompareView, but I'm not sure how to use it. I also noticed that she was part of the API since the 10 then maybe the previous how to do was not the best way? If I could write the code so that it works on the 10 and 11, it would be ideal, but this is not a necessity. Especially I'm looking for examples see how a comparison editor would normally set up and open.

    Jason,

    For the purpose you describe, I would use the old code that you had. I guess the NoClassDefFoundError that you see is related to the DifferenceBlock class. Try instead to use OffsetDifferenceBlock (package oracle.javatools.compare.view.wedge).

    However, this comes with a conditional clause. The component that you use here is a special component of the representation of the results of the comparison. Its capabilities are limited to this, and he can fight and manifest problems when displaying the type of information you need to represent. Strictly speaking, not taken in charge to create a model to compare and to pass to the view in this way. You see problems when rendering, for example, when "cross" the connection lines between them. If you don't see any undesirable behaviour, I would recommend writing your own component chart instead.

  • BlackBerry, change of sim card and ID blackberry Smartphones roaming charges

    I did a little research and although have found similar cases, I'm not quite sure if this has been covered completely. Please forgive me if it has.

    I'm going abroad in Germany for a year, and it is useless to cancel me my current plan of the monthly British payroll with Vodaphone. As far as I know my blackberry is unlocked at the international level - I put an old, German o2 pay as you go sim in my phone. Seemed to work very well (sign of o2 Germany, received a message on homelessness in the UK, etc.), but I had no credit so couldn't test. I registered again my user ID of blackberry on my home wi-fi. But other that I couldn't do much to verify the extent of my use.

    However, I heard various accounts of not being able to use e-mail, internet, wipe the contacts, etc..

    If someone could clarify this, here are my questions:

    • If I take my sim UK vodaphone, is anyway I have accumulate roaming charges? Is my blackberry ID, potentially with a new German supplier, related to my old?
    • Will he make any question tries to access my email, bbm, whatsapp, etc., with a different number and in a different country.

    One has experience in this area, in Germany (a long shot), Europe or world? It seems that the whole ID blackberry complicates things.

    My phone is a Blackberry Bold 9900, AFAIK its software wise update - I have updated today with the "Bundle 2061 7.1" I think.

    Thank you

    J.

    Hello and welcome to the community!

    There are a number of problems to know for what you propose... Here are my thoughts... (Note that I have traveled internationally widely enough with a BB).

    If you activate a plan of itinerant international with the support of your home, you should be able to keep your current SIM card in your BB and have all the features anywhere where you are allowed (according to what your home carrier active). Costs are not small in general, but your home operator is the only entity that can tell you if it will work and for how much money. My personal experience with this method was difficult, it took two 'stranded' international travel before my carrier home could properly configure my account for full international roaming I needed. And once my BB was out of my home network, there was nothing else they could do... so the two 'fail' the TRIPS Agreement.

    Given that your BB is unlocked, you can use it on other carriers, simply by changing your SIM card. But with BB, it is not quite as simple as that.

    No BB does exist (indeed, no device anywhere that I know of) that has all the radio technologies/frequencies within the view are just too many in the world. Thus, your first task is to ensure that your BB has the ability to the same function on the support networks you want to use it on. You must study the capabilities of your specific BB against the requirements of networks you will operate on... you may need to ask those network operators for more details.

    If this element is satisfied, which then verifies that you have services at the level of the voice (calls, voice mail, SMS). But for level data services, increase complications.

    Each company chooses patterns specific to BB (by model number) that they will promote "automatically". I do not know the carriers that have their network configured to support all the model numbers of BB. If the carrier you wish to automatically use your BB model number on media, then their system will be able to automatically deliver to your BB Service books required in order to activate the BB exclusive services (email, BBM, etc.). But, if their network does not natively support your specific model BB number, then their network is not likely to be able to automatically deliver these Service for your BB books... which will prevent the use of their network BB exclusive services. Again, you must inquire carriers on which you want to run if your specific model BB number is supported by their network for the automatic distribution of maintenance book.

    In addition, it is to ensure that your home carrier frees your BB PIN of their system of BIS. A BB PIN can exist in only one carrier BIS system anywhere in the world... so if your home carrier doesn't release him, then the other carrier will not be able to allocate a BIS account for you, and you still won't be able to use services BIS of them. In this case, it is usually a matter of contact your supplier of home and convince them to release your BB PIN of their system of BIS.

    If all goes well and all the conditions are met, then it can be quite transparent to switch between carriers, simply by changing your SIM card, ensure that each SIM card includes good BIS Services this carrier of course.
    But if anything this either in the chain requirements above fails, it can sometimes be frustrating to make the things work pretty well (reminds me of my two "failed" international travel).

    So, with all this as preamble, now to your questions...

    jpfp wrote:

    Given what you describe, I see no for Vodaphone to charge you roaming charges. Without their SIM in your BB, your BB may not even try to use any resource of Vodaphone. But, you will need to get confirmation of Vodaphone on this point... so that they control all services, billing, etc. for your account. BB services you are subordinate to your main carrier services... you need the services of the main carrier to provide network connectivity services BB riding on this network connection.

    • Will he make any question tries to access my email, bbm, whatsapp, etc., with a different number and in a different country.

    There are always opportunities for questions. When you use a different SIM card, you are constrained to some services that provide the SIM. If it does not, for example, BIS level services, then you won't access to people. Similarly, if there is some government restrictions for some services, you can be restricted from that as well. If you get a SIM card with full services of BIS and, as described above, you spent all of the required components that I have listed, then you should be able to have all the services you listed. It is possible that you may need to reconfigure your email... There are stories about these configurations if shattered when change carriers... but the BBID integration is intended to facilitate this exact type of change of carrier, so it should not happen. But don't we can, of course, no promises.

    Good luck!

  • SIM card disabled... Need to unlock Code - or do I need a new SIM card?

    Hi - I was a fool to check my phone late into the night Friday and checked settings-> location & security and went down all the way to lock SIM card. My phone is running the last updated Android for this model of Motorola MB300 BackFlip MotoBlur, I guess it's Android 2.1?

    I went to the where it says set up SIM card lock.

    I went to the where it says card SIM Lock (require PIN using the phone) and he asked for a PIN and I entered my own PIN and then I thought asked that my re - enter to confirm the new PIN code and then it was locked. I couldn't turn the lock, and I got on the screen when he timed out where he said I had the possibility of a PUK code. I don't know what it was, but I entered my code I thought that I did, and then he asked for me to create a new code, which I did, and then he asked me to re - enter the code to confirm. I did, and every time it says INVALID CODE ENTRY or something. So I tried other things. I tried to guess what the PUK code. I sent my parents at this stage because he said I could get the PUK code in caller Service customer. But I do not have to restart my phone and dial a number. I tried to keep guessing. Finally, he said that SIM card has been DISABLED. And now I can only make emergency calls.

    I found somewhere on the Internet that will give the unlock codes for a SIM card if you have the IMEI number of the phone that I have, and the model. I entered the model and IMEI number to see if they had paid him to the record, which they said to do it before the "order"... which I was suspicious. They found my unlock the number, they said, for what I entered. Simply, they want my name, address, etc. and will allow me to pay using credit or debit via Paypal. It costs $ 7.99 for the code.

    I'm not really happy to spend $8 that I can get for free if I go to a local store of AT & T with the technicians and technical help, that will do it for Hello, FREE?, because I pay 5 $par month on phone, insurance which now on this P.O.S. phone, had to be said for her many times... but I secretly want to take in the closest CENTRE of DEVICE OF SUPPORT , I have a recommendation to go form (but that one is a 2.5 hours a one-way ticket on public transport, unfortunately, compared to only an hour or two in a store of tech to give me a new SIM card) and see if I can get this BackFlip swapped for a SideFlip while I'm.

    • What is the chances of that? Just whine enough about the BackFlip even get a SideFlip? The SideFlip is done? To compensate for the BackFlip? (^_*)?
    • Anyone know how to unlock the SIM card once it has been disabled? Or people with reduced mobility means NEVER usable for the rest of its useful life? That's all I need to know now. Mainly.
    • And on the other hand, in passing, if someone got lucky by swapping this out for a SideFlip mofone and what their thoughts were the Motorola SideFlip vs the BackFlip with respect to memory and the Android operating system and version MotoBlue... etc. The usual. Comparisons?

    The tech store I use mainly is closed on Sundays (to get a new SIM card), so I can't go today after all. To remedy this, I hope to get a response on this forum. Please post anything you know that might help me for FREE get this MOFONE FIXED and SIM re-activated or reactivated. And it's too late in the day to get to the CENTER of SUPPORT of DEVICE. So boo hoo. I'm screwed. I would like to have a car and not a nice bike respectful of the environment.

    PS - I've READ online THAT THE PUK FOR THIS PHONE IS ALWAYS 1111, but I think they were referring to the device of MiFi who came, not the BackFlip MB300... so I don't know if the PUK Code is universally 1111 or what, but it does NOT work. What could be? Is - this own to my phone and the IMEI number? Thank you!!!

    djpurity

    If the SIM card is deactivated so your best bet is to get a new one. AT & T gives them for free, but there is not many other v e can do. Blocking of SIM cards is a security feature to protect your account as a sim card is linked to a phone number.

    Other unlocks forsale are online for carrier unlocks - unlocking a phone to use with another carrier. The unlock code requiring an IMEI unlock for another carrier - it won't help with SIM disabled.

    If you could easily unblock a SIM card, anyone could steal your phone and break the SIM lock. As far as I know, once the SIM card is disabled, you must a new.

    But the good news is that AT & T gives free new.

  • SIM card

    My daughter accidentally dropped her iPhone 4 and now it will turn is no longer. AT & T was absolutely useless in helping with his iPhone. Currently, she has lost so many photos that were stored on his phone and not the cloud. My question is if it can remove its SIM card, insert it into an adapter and then put back in its drive of his laptop in order to get all these pictures? Is this possible? What type of USB SIM card, adapter would I need? Thank you very much! Any help would be much appreciated!

    Unfortunately, the card SIM A No., used with an iPhone, stores all of the user data. Photos taken with his iPhone would be stored in one of the following locations: 1) the Photos app on the phone, 2) the Photos on a Mac if app it copied or moved pictures out of his iPhone it, or 3) to iCloud if it makes backups.
