SIM restriction

I want to add a picture to a contact, but I get "your save location is moved to only the SIM card and SIM card does not accept the data type." I just want to know how to change my 'place save by default', so I can add pictures to my contacts.

Thank you!

Quick Note: saw right on the manual it says to go to Contacts > Options > Setup > default saving location > then to whoever I wanted. The only problem here is that when I go to Contacts > Options > Setup > there is no default save location

in fact all the new contacts automatically saved on the phone. There is none

default location in the phone option. What you can do is to import all your

contacts from your SIM card to the phone. and in this way, you can use the photo,

ringtone and other features available for contacts. for the import

contacts, go to Contacts > Options > import Contacts > SIM card

  • SIM-Free iPhone bought in Dubai, United Arab Emirates UNITED, to aid in the countries of the EU without iMessage and restriction of FaceTime. iMessage WORK PERFECTLY WELL, even on cell phones, but no FaceTime. Please tell me why?

Hello to all on the Apple community!

Recently, I bought the iPhone SIM-Free from the shop Duty Free in Dubai World.
I used my iPhone in Dubai very shortly and I did not have iMessage and FaceTime option on my phone. I know that laws of United Arab Emirates telecommunication UNITED and I know why people out there have this apps.
But when I arrived in my born country last week I put the new sim card without restriction for iMessage and FaceTime and when I open the Message in the settings, I saw "Power" toggle iMessage and I was surprised that it is possible that. When I pass switches on 'On' for iMessage, who runs BEGIN WORK PERFECTLY FINE WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM EVEN on LTE network.

When I try to do the same thing with FaceTime, I saw that there is still no menu FaceTime in settings. I'm looking for in my iPhone and I find everywhere FaceTime app (Notification centar, use of boxes, installed Apps etc etc...), I want to say the FaceTime app is in my phone but is disabled and not showing somеhow.

Please someone who knows this situation to respond to my question: can I activate FaceTime work as iMessage works now on my iPhone?
    Thank you!

This is because one of the configuration files of the iPhone disables it for iPhones with AB, AE and AH maybe just before the / is their model numbers. If a Middle East SIM card in the iPhone, it can substitute for it, but no SIM card non - Middle Eastern won't. There is no other way to substitute it, or get FaceTime on your iPhone outside the Middle East.

  • On the Restrictions

HI my Face Time app is missing.

On the device, open settings, general and then to the subject. If the model number is AB or just before AE slash, she won't have FaceTime in United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia or any country outside the Middle East; enable it only SIM cards for some carriers in the Middle East. Otherwise, check the restrictions of the device.

    SIM card

If you have a SIM card to install, install it before installing iPhone.

Important: A Micro-SIM (iPhone 4S) card or a Nano-SIM (iPhone 5 and later) is required to use cellular services when connecting to GSM networks and some CDMA networks. iPhone which is triggered on a CDMA wireless network may also use a SIM card to connect to a GSM network, mainly for international roaming. Your iPhone is subject to your wireless service provider policies, which may include restrictions on switching and roaming services providers, even after the conclusion of any contract of minimum service required. Your provider of wireless services for more details. Availability of cellular functions depend on the wireless network.

  • BlackBerry smartphones is there a way to prevent a Blackberry SIM from working in other smartphones?

    Hi all

Just a quick question here - we have tested and found that a SIM card with a package iPhone/Android on it will work not in Blackberry (from least not the data part) but is there a way to prevent a card associated with a BES/BIS to work in other mobile phones data plan?  The use of data is the big problem for us.

I know that this should be as simple to say to our users that they are not allowed to do more, but... they are users, and we had a few thugs go a little...

    Thank you

    Environment: Bell Mobility, BESX, ActiveSync

    Hi Sparq,

Current BlackBerry smart phones have access to BIS or BES, which requires special data plans, that's why the iPhone/Android data plans do not work, but as far as I know, the same limitation does not exist the other way. The best would be to call your service provider (in your case, Bell?) and see if they have the possibility to apply a restriction to their end. It really is the best chance that you would have to block.

Of course, if it's a pretty serious issue, the company's CEO and management team could make an offense that could lead to the interruption of a position that it can technically be considered theft of the assets of the company.

  • BlackBerry, change of sim card and ID blackberry Smartphones roaming charges

I did a little research and although have found similar cases, I'm not quite sure if this has been covered completely. Please forgive me if it has.

I'm going abroad in Germany for a year, and it is useless to cancel me my current plan of the monthly British payroll with Vodaphone. As far as I know my blackberry is unlocked at the international level - I put an old, German o2 pay as you go sim in my phone. Seemed to work very well (sign of o2 Germany, received a message on homelessness in the UK, etc.), but I had no credit so couldn't test. I registered again my user ID of blackberry on my home wi-fi. But other that I couldn't do much to verify the extent of my use.

However, I heard various accounts of not being able to use e-mail, internet, wipe the contacts, etc..

If someone could clarify this, here are my questions:

    • If I take my sim UK vodaphone, is anyway I have accumulate roaming charges? Is my blackberry ID, potentially with a new German supplier, related to my old?
    • Will he make any question tries to access my email, bbm, whatsapp, etc., with a different number and in a different country.

One has experience in this area, in Germany (a long shot), Europe or world? It seems that the whole ID blackberry complicates things.

My phone is a Blackberry Bold 9900, AFAIK its software wise update - I have updated today with the "Bundle 2061 7.1" I think.

    Thank you

    J.

Hello and welcome to the community!

There are a number of problems to know for what you propose... Here are my thoughts... (Note that I have traveled internationally widely enough with a BB).

If you activate a plan of itinerant international with the support of your home, you should be able to keep your current SIM card in your BB and have all the features anywhere where you are allowed (according to what your home carrier active). Costs are not small in general, but your home operator is the only entity that can tell you if it will work and for how much money. My personal experience with this method was difficult, it took two 'stranded' international travel before my carrier home could properly configure my account for full international roaming I needed. And once my BB was out of my home network, there was nothing else they could do... so the two 'fail' the TRIPS Agreement.

Given that your BB is unlocked, you can use it on other carriers, simply by changing your SIM card. But with BB, it is not quite as simple as that.

No BB does exist (indeed, no device anywhere that I know of) that has all the radio technologies/frequencies within the view are just too many in the world. Thus, your first task is to ensure that your BB has the ability to the same function on the support networks you want to use it on. You must study the capabilities of your specific BB against the requirements of networks you will operate on... you may need to ask those network operators for more details.

If this element is satisfied, which then verifies that you have services at the level of the voice (calls, voice mail, SMS). But for level data services, increase complications.

Each company chooses patterns specific to BB (by model number) that they will promote "automatically". I do not know the carriers that have their network configured to support all the model numbers of BB. If the carrier you wish to automatically use your BB model number on media, then their system will be able to automatically deliver to your BB Service books required in order to activate the BB exclusive services (email, BBM, etc.). But, if their network does not natively support your specific model BB number, then their network is not likely to be able to automatically deliver these Service for your BB books... which will prevent the use of their network BB exclusive services. Again, you must inquire carriers on which you want to run if your specific model BB number is supported by their network for the automatic distribution of maintenance book.

In addition, it is to ensure that your home carrier frees your BB PIN of their system of BIS. A BB PIN can exist in only one carrier BIS system anywhere in the world... so if your home carrier doesn't release him, then the other carrier will not be able to allocate a BIS account for you, and you still won't be able to use services BIS of them. In this case, it is usually a matter of contact your supplier of home and convince them to release your BB PIN of their system of BIS.

If all goes well and all the conditions are met, then it can be quite transparent to switch between carriers, simply by changing your SIM card, ensure that each SIM card includes good BIS Services this carrier of course.
But if anything this either in the chain requirements above fails, it can sometimes be frustrating to make the things work pretty well (reminds me of my two "failed" international travel).

So, with all this as preamble, now to your questions...

Given what you describe, I see no for Vodaphone to charge you roaming charges. Without their SIM in your BB, your BB may not even try to use any resource of Vodaphone. But, you will need to get confirmation of Vodaphone on this point... so that they control all services, billing, etc. for your account. BB services you are subordinate to your main carrier services... you need the services of the main carrier to provide network connectivity services BB riding on this network connection.

There are always opportunities for questions. When you use a different SIM card, you are constrained to some services that provide the SIM. If it does not, for example, BIS level services, then you won't access to people. Similarly, if there is some government restrictions for some services, you can be restricted from that as well. If you get a SIM card with full services of BIS and, as described above, you spent all of the required components that I have listed, then you should be able to have all the services you listed. It is possible that you may need to reconfigure your email... There are stories about these configurations if shattered when change carriers... but the BBID integration is intended to facilitate this exact type of change of carrier, so it should not happen. But don't we can, of course, no promises.

    Good luck!

Please I need help. If I buy another piece of 7plus and bring it in sri lanka or India my facetime work? or what? I'm totally confused plese answer me as fast as you can

FaceTime is forbidden by the law in Saudi Arabia and the UNITED Arab Emirates and is removed from iPhones sold in other countries of the Middle East, if they are used outside the country where they were originally sold. If you plan to use an iPhone outside the Middle East, then don't buy it in the Middle East. The one you bought there FaceTime was illegally imported from another region and sold it.

I know there are discussions on this subject but answers all explain how to get your SIM card is displayed. I don't have a SIM card. I don't want one. I bought a cell phone compatible iPad because I want the GPS. If I need to connect to the internet while I am away from home, I use my iPhone as a hotspot.

My 3rd generation iPad gives me repeated "No SIM Card installed" messages while I use it. If he did only once at startup I understand, by why keep repeatedly remind me there is no SIM? I KNOW that there is no SIM.

Oddly enough, my new iPad Pro, which does not have a SIM card, never gave me this message, not even at startup. Is there a way to stop doing on the generation iPad 3?

  • You can unlock an iPhone 7 from its supplier of the Sim Card? And if so, how?

I am currently with three and you have an iPhone on the 02 network 7. Is it possible to unlock the iPhone so I can use my sim card, or is it not possible for the 7 yet?

If it is possible, how would go about to do?

    Thanks in advance!

Only the carrier, that the device is locked can authorize an unlock of the device. You will need to contact them to see if they provide unlocking services and if you are eligible. If you, then follow the directions. If this isn't the case, you will need to wait until you do.

  • WHY is Apple E-Mail Alias transfer - so restrictive?

When my wife signed to Apple she used one of our gmail accounts of his Apple ID, which is great, EXCEPT that I had used this (name) @gmail for an alias iCloud email address (name) @icloud before it is signed on.  Apple does NOT allow me to transfer this alias so my wife can use it as its primary e-mail address Apple, that would be ideal because it reflects his gmail address?

WHY Apple is so restrictive with the transfer of an e-mail address, whether it is an e-mail alias or principle?

In the digital world of today, where Apple has made their Apple ID and email iCloud Apple so very well integrated into the overall experience iOS - it makes it incredibly frustrating that we are unable to make a simple email address switch between my wife and me that would make life easier on the whole regarding the centralization of its emails from Apple Mail account.  (Name) she uses is the one that we used it for many years and he move on to something completely different... not a very good option leaves she have to keep using Gmail as their primary e-mail account...

Unfortunately iCloud alias cannot be used for distribution among those family.  Inform Apple - http://www.apple.com/feedback/
