• Simulator of OS6 for VS. Debug?

  I use Visual Studio WebWorks v2.5.1.1 on VS2008 Windows XP.  Debugging on the 9550 Storm (v5.0.0.469) Simulator provided with the SDK works fine, but I have not been able to find a single OS 6 Simulator that does not give me the message: "debugging is not supported on the selected Blackberry Simulator.  I tried 9800 Torch (v6.0.0.337), 9670 Sprint Tour (v6.0.0.407), 9650 Verizon Tower (v6.0.0.431), 9670 (v6.0.0.436) tower and Torch 9800 (v6.0.0.227).  Is there are currently available that I have not tried, but that does not support debugging?  If this isn't the case, when it will be available?

  On OS6 it is not integrated into the debugging support.  This was added for BB7 and PlayBook with the integration of Web Inspector.  We are trying to move the debugging of web content in more familiar tools for web developers (i.e. Web Inspector)

  However OS6 is currently excluded from this mixture.  There are various tookits who will work for debugging on OS6 (winere, firebug toolkit), but they do not support JavaScript breakpoints.

• Simulator of MDS and Blackberry 8110

  I have a problem with the simulator of MDS and Blackberry 8110.

  I just test my application because when I try to connect to the internet using mds - cs, the web browser (or my request) my 8110 Simulator gives me the error "unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service, please try again later." ...".

  The same application with another Simulator (i.e. Blackberry 8900) works without a problem, and I can surf the web with the built-in web browser.

  I used a generic Simulator. Installed by Vodafone one, and now I can surf the web from my blackberry Simulator.

  Note: I noticed that with Blackberry 8900 generic Simulator I can surf the internet with the active wi - fi network.

  I downloaded a simulator 9800/OS6.0.0.284 flame.

  When I ran the browserfielddemo, I got a blank white screen.

  I found the reason. The URL is not the connection as string '; deviceside = true '.

  Also, if there is a web page redirect, the connection string should be added to the url redirected as well.

  I could make the installation by set the compatibility to Windows 7.

  Right-click on the Setup file, select Properties, Compatibility tab. On "run this program in compatibility for ', select Windows 7.

• My application does not work on storm and torch

  So, this morning, one of my colleagues came to my office to show me that he got a BB Torch and man, the thing is pretty sexy!

  Well, the thing is, he asked me to install my application on her bb and what was my surprise, he worked... Well, it installed and seems to work, but the first screen application user login and pass, the problem here is the application was not catch the event to rely on the "connect" button. I tried with the touch and touchpad click the entry and none of them worked.

  What is the difference here, or where can I I document on the need for what to do here? I can understand that it might be a different event is triggered on the touchscreen part, but with the touchpad and touch as well?

  I'm confused about what happens when the device goes into compatibility mode, myself. What JDE did you compile with?

  Not knowing anything about your program, it is difficult to tell where exactly is the problem. I think you should probably just compile in a higher JDE. I would say 4.7 is a compiler appropriate for most of the torch applications and current storm present in the current.

  If you compile currently with 4.7 or higher and still get the error, you can a) try the debugger) b download the 5.0 and 6.0 compilers and try to compile it on those. Sometimes new APIs is absent from previous builders or there is another change. If there is a change in the API the new compilers can trap the error in the compilation.

  How to programmatically save and retrieve data of type string to and from the internal memory of the Simulator?  An example would help. Also, is it possible to store data even after you close the Simulator, so you might extract the next time it is opened?

  for versions of the OS, I am interested.  The chapter you want, changed its name according to the level of the operating system (at least I think there), but it's all about the data storage and it contains examples.  You will find a direct link to this chapter for the level of the OS 4.7, here:

  In your case, unless you are really developing for J2ME, as your name suggests, I would use persistent store.  If you need code compatible J2ME (cross-platform), then look for RMS (MIDP-record store).

• Update blackBerry Smartphones os6 and all I have is black screen reset/reload 'Blackberry '.

  I have a Bold 9650 and last night I updated to OS6, the undate seemed to go ok, I even had a little video to show the features, but then he told me that I had to update my email addresses, and when I did I was told to reboot to complete the update.  At this point I got was the start to the top/reload screen that says Blackberry with the white flag of the restart procedure.  The complete line indicating that the process is complete, but it is stuck on this screen.

  I have taken the battery several times, and the same process is repeated.  Any ideas on how to get my phone working again?

  Thank you very much for this information.  It was my original plan, but I didn't know how to go on this issue.

  I ended up going in Blackberry Desktop Software and applications, I noticed that I had 2 email, configure applications.  Since this is what I was doing when it failed, I removed the older (thought it was probably the surplus OS5 and incompatible with the new OS) and it worked.  I did a restore and everything seems to work fine now.  And I'm diggin' OS6!

  Go to your options to find the box that tells the device and then scroll down until it says find new software updates click on that and click on search for update, it should give you an option to downgrade back to the old software

  I just installed the new update for LR of CC.  I'm in the develop module, working on an image. Even though I checked the proofing and the box is working on a test, in the box for Soft Proofing, and the title to "simulate paper and ink" is gray?  Why and what can I do to have access?

  Until I installed the update and used LR 5, I had no such problem.  I wonder if there are some settings for the update that I didn't attend to.

  LR CC using latest version updated 21015 1.1 on an Imac running 10.9.5.

  Simulation of paper & ink option is available only if this information is available in the profile. Spaces such as Adobe RGB and sRGB is not information on paper in them, so that some printer profiles. Make sure you select your printer profile by clicking on other profile Option.Refer using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom | Expand the options of the module

  In other words, the PlayBook browser application relies on Adobe Air WebKit, or is the standalone engine WebKit?  WebWorks applications using WebKit in Air?

  The webkit rendering engine is the same as on the torch.  It has a few improvements added to it.  Mobile version of Office AIR has a webkit browser, but AIR does not work.

  When you embed a web page display in the AIR on the PlayBook, it's the rendering engine of torch.  WebWorks applications use the same engine.
