My laptop {Toshiba Satellite A305-S6905} was originally Vista when buying.   If there is no entry in the Device Manager, it's quite strange. If the device works properly it is listed under imaging devices like Chicony camera.

  OK - I have improved my dv6000 (dv6925us) for Win7 64 bit.  Everything works fine - with the exception of the D * N web cam.  He enrolled in Device Manager and is visible here - but there is no software on the HP site so he can work.  I tried to download the recommended software for Vista 64, and running it in compatibility mode - but name joy at all (in fact, it does install it even the HP service pack - survey of errors and ends the installation).  Does anyone know of a 3rd party software that works with this webcam?

  Hello. I have a Mac Mini that has active FileVault, and I control my laptop using screen sharing. The only problem I have is the very occasional time that the Mac Mini freezes or restarts. When this happens, there is no way to connect via screen sharing and I have to login on the machine itself (I don't keep the keyboard and monitor connected so it's a bit annoying). FileVault ask this question because it requires a pre-launch where screen sharing does not work. I could turn off FileVault, but would prefer not to if possible.   UGO in the computer\c:\program files and open the folder of web cam. Then, find the web cam.exe file and right-click on it. now select send to > , and then click desktop (create shortcut), now, the icon should appear on the desktop.
