Simultaneous windows 7 sessions?

Hi all

I work in a secondary school and have teachers who float from classroom to classroom. They say it takes at least 5 minutes to connect to our windows environment.  Server 2008 R2 domain.

I "heard" that MS allows simultaneous windows 7 sessions? But the only things I found online were hacks.  Is it a real option to activate a computer option or a general practitioner doctor?

I will not allow the method hacked on our network. If advice or options would be useful.  I rechecked the group policies that are currently in place and there are only a couple, so I don't see what is the reason for the slow pace of the so-called.  We use local profiles as well.

Thank you very much for the help.

  • Related workflow in the dialog box / popup window and Session Timeout

    Hi team.

    Using JDeveloper 11.1.2.4.

We have several use cases that have linked the workflow shown in dialogues.  Dialogues are defined in the workflow.  The dialogues show very well related workflows.  However, if we have a session timeout, we are witnessing the login page that appears inside the window of dialogue instead of the home page.  Any suggestions out there?

I have the text on a command button, invoking the action of dialogue BTF.

useWindow = "true" windowModalityType = "applicationModal.

    Thank you

    BradW

Hello.  Digging into the issue, we had a requirement to force the user to the logon page when the session expires.  However, the Service of Dialogue rich ADF fires and wants to ask us if we want to save the changes or continue leaving the popup.  To work around this problem, we made a JS call, follow these steps:

    AdfAgent.AGENT.removeBubbleEventListener(AdfPage.PAGE.getDomWindow(),"beforeunload", AdfDhtmlRichDialogService._beforeUnloadHandler);

So, in summary, we had created a PagePhaseListener to inject some JS in every page to make a timer based client-side redirect.  However, the Service of RichDialogue ADF complain if there are changes in the pop-up window.  To work around this problem, the timer called the removeBubbleEventListener.

It works, I think it might be a bit fragile between versions.

In Firefox, you normally have only one session; This session can have multiple windows. (In order to run simultaneously over a session, you must create multiple folders settings and use a special command line switch to separate sessions).

Output means certainly leave Firefox completely. However, using the Red Cross should affect only this single window (the caveat against the closure of several tabs should list the number of tabs in this window). I don't know why yours gives you the same results as the output. Maybe an add-on?

I tried to copy the content to the hidden folder, but it moves just in a new folder cach.trash

any way to help me?? i had so many important tabs open

Well, before you open/close Firefox again:

Your tabs and windows of session are stored in a file named sessionstore.js, not in the cache.

Use the start menu in Windows, the search box or run it, type or paste the following and press ENTER:

    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

If you see only a single folder (semi-aleatoric name), click in it and save all these files to a secure location (if you see more than one such folder, check the files into it and save the most recent):

    sessionstore.js
    sessionstore.bak
    sessionstore.bak-datetime

If you find that all numbered files such that the following back, those too:

    sessionstore-1.js

If you do not see the .js extensions, clear the Windows feature that hides them. See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/865219

  • How do I know which programs to take off the windows Installer CleanUp list?

    Windows Installer Cleanup of

    * original title - how do I know which programs to take off the windows Installer CleanUp list? I don't want to uninstall or remove a program that I always use currently__ *.

Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/290301 (MS Office only - replaced by the 'Fix It' utility)
(Note: the Windows CleanUp utility has been replaced by the "Fit It":http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/ )

    The Windows Installer Cleanup utility:
It was created to correct software installations that failed during the installation process and leaving a bunch of files (including a file name that ends with an extension .msi (= MicroSoft Installer .msi). For example an installation failed MS Office (note I said "failed").
    See: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA011185721033.aspx

Also if when you installed MS Office you decided at the time you had no need of Power Point and chose not to install it. You find out later you need to make a Power Point presentation, insert the Office CD and try installing PowerPoint and it causes an error.

The tool using Windows Installer Cleanup will remove damaged installation files (located in C:\Windows\Installer). You then install Office and Power Point, once more, as they are not more present in the list of programs in the Add/Remove Control Panel. But at least this time Office and Power Point will install without errors as the Windows Installer Cleanup utility did what it was designed to do.

The unfortunate side effect of the cleanup tool is when you select and delete software that works correctly you then will no longer be able to install this software because it is no longer in the Add/Remove Programs list.

Now as to why there is so many files in the C:\Windows\Installer:
You will find lots of them. MSI files belong to software such as Java, Microsoft .NET Framework software AV, Norton Ghost, file downloaded during a Windows Update session and so on. It would seem that some software will clean up after itself and deletions, this is the file that were in the folder C:\Windows\Installer. Windows Update failure will create and leave the folders and files behind every time that you try to install the update and so you could end up with a large number of files taking up disk space.

It could also be a lot of files (is most needed) orphans.
If you still have the original Windows Installer Cleanup utility, and then by using the msizap (msizap g!) command removes all cached Windows Installer data files that have been orphaned.
