Since I updated to 10 Firefox, when I close my browser, I'm connected on all my registered accounts.

Twitter, Livejournal, Grooveshark, my homepage iGoogle, hotmail, writing/poetry sites... I back up all of them in my favorites for quick access bar - just click and go. Then I updated to Firefox 10 and now nothing remains connected! I was told to empty my cache (and I did). I was told to delete my cookies (and I did). I don't know what else to do. At first, I thought he could have because Google changes its privacy policy, but then after trial and error, I found that Firefox is the only browser in this case. Opera care me connected just like Safari, but since I'm not very happy with one of them, I would like someone to help me fix what is happening with Firefox. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a difference between remembering the name and the password in the password manager and a check box "remember me" on a web page to connect automatically.

The latter usually involves the creation of a special "remember me" cookie that is stored on your computer and which is sent to the server.

If that "remember me" cookie is deleted or is corrupted or is not send to the server, then the server do you remember no more, and you must connect once more.

So make sure you keep the cookies from these sites via an exception allow and that you do not delete cookies or the preferences of site through "clear recent history".

In Options -> general , you have Firefox " show my windows and tabs from last time ' value? If so, this restores your last browsing session, as if you had not closed the browser.

If you choose a homepage to display at startup, your previous session must be removed as usual (although it can still be recovered for a short time with history-> restore previous Session).

  • I select save files, but when I close the browser and open it again, he was always ask me where to save files.

I select save files, but when I close the browser and open it again, he was always ask me where to save files. Whenever I closed and re-opened my browser it goes back to ask me where to save files.
    Help, please

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.

If you do not keep the changes after a reboot or have problems with preferences, see:

If you like Advanced SystemCare software that could restore some files from older versions to protect files against the changes and then check their settings or uninstall this software.

  • Firefox is not saving my session when I close the browser

I keep my browser set to remember my tabs open when I close Firefox. Since the last update, but I couldn't get there. I checked my preferences and the option to keep the tabs in Firefox closing is always selected. When I go to for closing of Firefox, however, I get the 'you are about to close X tabs' message and all the tabs are forgotten. When I open Firefox again the tabs I had open are all gone. I tried to re-selecting the option 'save my tabs' several times, but he did not a difference in Performance Explorer, even if the settings are still correct when I check again. I'm not sure what to do about this, but it's quite maddening and I would really like to find a solution, best before frustration leads me to find another browser to use.

Use "Firefox > output" (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit) to close Firefox if you are currently doing by clicking on the X close in the title bar of Firefox.

In the case you use 'clear history of Firefox closing. "

  • Just upgraded to FF4. When I close my browser with multiple tabs open, it is not asking or save my tabs. I tried the steps I ran across when I searched. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?

I've recently updated to FF4. In general, I have several tabs open and save when I close FF. It is no longer save not asking me to save. I tried the steps such as starting FF in safe mode, from sessions.js to sessions.bak.js, etc.. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?

I have this same problem. In Options-> general, I put to ' view my tabs, windows and the last time ", but it's not at all. Even with the 3 value 'true' preferences, I get no warning and only my homepage at the start of Firefox.

ETA: Resolved - saving tab does not work if you have FF on clear history leaving, probably having to do with FF fixing of items from the history to the tab ID's off 'clear history leaving', tabs allow to save very well now.

  • I've updated to Firefox 8, now, it will not keep Me connected to all the sites!

Everything was beautiful and brilliant. Then I updated to Firefox 8. Now any website I want to (Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) will not keep me connected when I check the box to do so. As soon as I close Firefox and reopen it, I have to log in again, even if on some sites it's to remember my username and password (just do not keep me logged).

I tried to delete all cookies and history and still nothing.

Does anyone else have this problem?

In the privacy section of the Firefox options, make sure that Firefox is configured to accept cookies and that it is not set to clear history of Firefox closing.

(If you use the default "Remember history" then it should work fine. If you use the "customized for the history settings" setting, and then make sure that "Accept cookies" is checked and "clear history of Firefox closing is not checked.)

  • I have a toolbar add-on that, when I close the browser, which won't be no display or work when I open it again my toolbar, despite being listed as active and appear in my tab 'show toolbars '.

I have a toolbar of Gamers unite! I use the function 'active friend' on facebook games. This function generates a "memory" of the people who send you gifts in return and the prognoses of the friends list provided by the game, so inactive players are ignored.

This toolbar appears in my tab 'Show toolbars', appears as 'active' in my Firefox extensions Manager, but there is a space empty where the toolbar should be in the header of my browser, and the active 'friend' function is not displayed when I go in the list of friend (s) of the game.

  • Why my favorites disappear several times since the update to Firefox 39?

Hi - I am running Firefox 39 on desktop PC Windows 7, 64-bit.

    • I already know how to restore bookmarks. I just can't understand why they keep disappearing!
    • This has been bothering me for weeks. At this diagnosis, I backed up the bookmarks that I will properly. I even exported a bookmarks HTML file is a file of bookmark JSON backup - just in case I could have business in a corrupt JSON or SQLITE or another mysterious file.
    • Yet, my favorites keep disappearing. I have, for example, 100 bookmarks. Then suddenly, in the middle of my work, I notice some of my favorites in my toolbar disappeared. When I close my browser and re - open again to check what is happening with my bookmark backups - I see my old JSON file with 100 bookmarks - and a NEWER file that has, say, 55 bookmarks. Pouf! Forty-five 45 favorites have disappeared in a Flash! I restored using the old file to recover. But the disappearance of bookmarks problem continues to be, seemingly randomly.
    • As a last resort - I re-set my browser to create a new profile. But the problem continues. Then in annihilation total, I saved my password and cookies files DB, SQLITE and JSON - and did a complete UNINSTALL of the browser - AS WELL AS - delete all "Mozilla" entries in the registry.
    • From there, I downloaded and did a clean install of Firefox and put some data from my old profile backup files - in the new. I thought everything would be fixed. NOPE!
    • I wonder if there's something built into my browser - either an add it or something in one of the files, SQLITE - that causes this problem is disconcerting. Yes, I can restore my old favorites to their original state. But dozens of them continue to disappear in the middle of a session. And when I close this session - the LAST visible bookmarks are part of a new JSON backup file generated, but this file purges much of my original favorites.

  • How can I clear my history when I close it, but remember my login details so I don't have to log in again everytime I go on sites Firefox?

Not call explanation. I put clear history when I close it, but remember active connections, and when I reopen it the Firefox browser, I have to log in again.

Hello hanshotfirst1138, many of the sites will store the information that you are connected in a cookie, if make you disappear to the stop, then you will need to identify you the next time you open the browser.

I would recommend this configuration: in the privacy options select "firefox will use the custom settings for history" and "keep cookies until firefox is closed. subsequently to create exceptions for the websites you want to stay connected. You can also easily adjust for the current of the site you're on right click on an empty spot then go on see information page > permissions.
