• Can't change ringtone on Centro

  This problem started a few days ago.  I can set the ringer on my Centro what in the list and it saves the day, but no matter what I choose, the ringtone I get when a call comes in is the ringing of the alarm.  If I go back to the preferences of his that he still has my chosen ringtone settings - the settings are apparently just ignored.  Initially, he played a few other ringtone (that I forgot it) and I deleted this ringtone to try to solve the problem, but then it just took alarm.  I could remove alarm too, but it will most likely just choose another ring to get stuck on.  Removing the battery does not solve the problem.  Thanks for any help.

  When was the last time you hotsynced your device? The reason why I ask this is I want to suggest a hard reset as the first step to solve this problem.

  After HotSync to back up all of your PIM data, follow the directions for a Hard Reset here:

  After the Hard Reset, try to set ringtones before HotSync and restoring the information on your device. If the problem is resolved, hotsync and restore your device, and then try again. If after the restoration of your data that you have this probem again, then probably there is a problem with a program that you have installed on your device.

• BlackBerry Smartphones music plays without apparent reason

  No apparent reason, my BB 9800 seems to play a song (which BTW I do not loaded in my media). I can't even cut it.

  Only recently has changed a new battery and an MMS sent to another user with a voice message in it.

  The song is not in my list of music. My ringtones and sound profiles are all checked. It is very strange indeed.

  Any ideas why my BB9800 would simply begin to play a foreign sound of 30 s no reason file?

  I have since discovered that the audio came from a reader integrated Quciktime on a Web page that I had recently read (and played). I closed the tab and only went to a battery. I hope that does the trick.

  I just bought the Karma and when I bluetoothed my ringtones from my old phone some went to Karma ringtones and others went to the music but I can't get those music on the ringtone file so I can put them in my contacts.   You don't need to 'send' tone anywhere. It can be used as ringtones, regardless of which category they are in.

  If they are in the music, they can be used as ringtones. If they are in the sounds, they can be used as ringtones.

  "Ringtones" include music and sounds - both.

  To see this, press:

  Main menu >
  My stuff >
  Media Finder >
  Tones >
  Ringtones >

  You will see that there are 3 categories of ringtones:

  (1) sound
  (2) music
  (3) voice note

  Nothing in these 3 categories can be used as ringtones.

  Applying the music/songs to a Contact:

  • First mark sure ringer ID are on - and your Contact is saved in the phone

  (1) your Contact must be registered in the phone (not only SIM) to use ringer ID. If you do not have a Contact saved in the phone, you will not see the option to set a ringtone for that Contact. You won't see any "Ringer ID" in the list of Options for a Contact.

  (2) make sure you have enabled, ringer ID by going to:

  Main menu > settings > Audio > other settings > ringer ID > on

  • After your Contact is saved in the phone, and ringer IDs are enabled, you can follow these steps to apply a song in 'All songs' contact:

  Press:

  Main menu >
  Address book >
  Highlight a Contact (do not select it, just highlight)
  Options > Scroll to the bottom for...
  Change Contact >
  Identification by ringtone >
  Press the central Menu button to select the ringer ID (button in the middle of the phone)
  Music >
  All songs >
  Choose a ring/song for this Contact
  Press the Menu central button to select
  Tap done

  Otherwise, apply any song as ringtone for incoming calls, for all Contacts:

  Highlight a song >
  Options >
  Apply as > ringtone

  I did notice these have bigger file sizes for instance 424KB, and bit rate of 128kbps, how do I shorten these or can I?
  

  The flow rate is low, the better the sound. You cannot change the speed of transmission of a song of the device, but you can download/transfer the song to your computer and compress it with 3rd party software - and then re-upload/transfer back to your phone. Is there a reason why you want a lower rate? You should have no trouble to use of larger Ko ringtones with your device. Are you?

  My wife and I have just updated our iPhones (his is a 6s, mine is a 6 s +) to IOS 9.3.2

  Mine works fine, but hers doesn't have a speaker sound.

  Works great with wired headphones or bluetooth headset connected, but no noise regular of the enclosure.

  Tried to reload, still no sound during playback of music, test different ringtones, nothing.

  Checked to make sure that all the settings are the same as on my 6s +. Both are basic 16 GB of memory.

  Is there a simple solution for now until the bug is fixed?  We are on the annual programme to upgrade with more of Applecare.

  just got an incoming call and after that the phone is not singing, no vibrations, no ringtones. Phone is not cut and parameters are set to a normal Volume is in place, even tried to set the alarm, but no sound in alarm or reminders, worse solutions are only restart, after restart the phone again, you will be able to receive only 1 call with song ringtones & vibrations, it's really frustrating.

  As a standard, most all carriers have a value default 15 seconds of ringtime until voicemail picks up.

  If you do not need additional ring time before voicemail:

  1. The simplest method is to call your operator and ask a longer time of the ring, up to 30 seconds.
  2. If you have a GSM based phone, some have had success by calling that number from your phone: * 61 * XXXXXXXXXXX * 30 #.

  • Replace XXXXXXXXXXX with your carrier voicemail center number (find him looking at your phone dialer > Options > VoiceMail > access number.) Put your access instead of the Xs above number.
  • For example, the T-Mobile voice mail access number is 18056377243, and would therefore be the string to dial * 61 * 18056377243 * 30 #.
  • Replace the 30, the end of the string with your desired seconds. For most carriers, 30 seconds, it is the longest allowed.

  Keep in mind that the splitting of a track in the MV is not actually 'split' the way of all - MV is essentially non-destructive. So if you split a track, all you are doing is defining some new points of departure for a reading - and this does not change the original file in the slightest. And this is the file that loop, not the choice of reading... So, you have two options; editing in the edit mode, or make a mix in a new file of the wick, you want in MV, cut the new file to length, save and use the file that loop in place.

  Personally, I think I was opening the entire file in the edit mode, select just a little more than the bit I want to loop, copy and paste again. Then do the final adjustment of length on the new file (set it to play in a loop), which register as file complete loop. In this way, you still have the original intact, it is wrong, you can still do it with impunity. It is very slightly different from the way it is described in the help files - for here, it suggests that you set your selection in the file origin to loop and it adjust, and then do the copy and paste again. In fact, either way is fine - I just think it's a little safer to do a load of mucking with the copy, rather than the original - in principle, less you play with the original, the better.

• Palm Centro syncs with pTunes (Sprint)

  I searched high and low for some answers, but nothing helped.

  So here's my problem that I couldn't find answers to on pockettunes.com. I bought an SD card for MP3 on my phone, and the only way I can get them to the card is using the Office Setup program. When I started pTunes on the phone while it is hooked in the USB cable repeatedly plays him plug / unplug sound randomly.  I have no problem at all using HotSync to back up my address book and images, but will not be synchronized with pTunes. All my settings are correct, as far as I read, and I have all the latest versions of the required software. I tried to use the browser to download a ringtone from the SD card and it indicates the file size is 0 KB and will not play, but it plays well in pTunes. My main concern is with pTunes synchronization. It is not fair not to Fig the device as being connected.

  Discover the ringtones or MiniTones, two free programs that work the same way.  Available at freewarepalm.com.

  It will scan your SD card for the songs, and then let you change a slice directly on your Centro.  You choose the sites start and stop of the "slice".  Once satisfied, click on the 'Add' button, and it will appear in your list of ringtones.
