  I'm a long-time Photoshop user.

  Until today I have never used it much more than ordinary brushes.

  While using a "ROSARY of HAIR' type of brush (created by someone else), I realized that if I kept the pressure on one of the keys to the 2 slice,

  the brush tip will get more or less important. No other button is pressed. The mouse is not indexed. Caps lock off. Shift upward.

  I do not have a Wacom tablet and all selections of pressure (obviously) are disabled. I tried this and found this happens with a number of brushes.

  I use iMac, most recent and past el capitan and PS 2015.5. I must add that I have a new trackpad connected but I've never used. I have a MAGIC MOUSE, which I think many kinds of mischief.

  The media keys have been a shortcut to change the size of the brushes for a long time. I don't know what your asking. It is a normal feature.

  I worked in Flash at the school, on a slightly older version. When I bought the latest version (Flash Professional CC 2015) on my computer at home, the layout appears a little differently.

  Down to it, I can't change the brush size smaller, and it is at the lowest level. (which in my opinion is a little huge) I looked around the internet trying to find how to change the brush size smaller, and they all say the same thing: go to the bottom of the toolbar, where you can change the size of the brush.

  UH... That's... really useful, but... Is not...

  Before the brush size change when you zoomed in or out, but now it seems not to be the case...

  Can someone help me? Does anyone else have this problem? I really need to get some work here...

• Size of the brush will not change

  I have my preferences for my slider show that the size of the brush, but suddenly my brush is like a tiny point change to any size (I went all the way up to 5000 pixels with no effect on the use of the brush, concealer and clone tools).

  My image is 1402 x 996 pixels at 200ppi. I tried Zoom with no effect.

  Probably missing me something obvious, but I don't see what.

  If you mean by a cross-shaped cursor point you CapsLock.

  I give up.  With all the options in CS5.5 PSD (Mac 10.7) I can't figure out how to continue to see my brush size while I use it.  I can see and adjust the size of the brush (] []) but as soon as I hold down the mouse button the circle goes away and I do not see the edge of my brush.  Therefore my brushing is not accurate.

  Is someone can you please tell me what combination of parameters will allow me to see the sliders I want in size, they will be applied and have this size to be obvious THAT I'm their application?

  In preferences, cursors, clear the Show only Corsshair while painting...

  Why the Brush tool changes sizes when zoomed in and out? It is so boring. Is there a way to fix this? BTW I use the CS4 version. It happens to all other tools? I tried that it seems not, but I can't say if there is a big difference in the size of the brush as Brush tool.  Thanks for any help!

  Found this thread while searching for an answer to this question and figured out how to fix it, granted that this thread has been 5 years, so there is probably no reason to try and offer this image, but just in case flash is not dead and someone use it yet, here is GB.

  I find autour and have been unable to locate the shortcut keys to increase or decrease the size of the brush while erasing. Support key is used to change the size of the brush in the brush itself, but when I press the alt key to switch to the eraser, I can't understand shortcut keys to change the size of the eraser. It works for the Panel, but it's a pain. There must be a shortcut for it. Thank you, Eric

  Eric,

  If you draw with a mouse that has a wheel, you can use them to change the size of the eraser. I can do Windows XP at least. If you use a tablet of some sort, you might be out of luck.

  Have a new laptop MacBook Pro (mid-2010).  I can't brush of the same size as the guide of the brush:

  

  Note above that in CS3 the brush and brush guide are the same size on the right CS5 circle guide more than twice the size of the brush!

  (in both cases the size of the guide is unaffected by the hardness of the brush).

  I checked and no controlled all of the combinations available in the following preferences:

  Preference: Performance: enabled and Disenabled: Open GL drawing

  Preference: Brushes: small and large

  Preference: Energy Saving Preferenc: Automatice graphic of switching

  Open PS in 64-bit and 32-bit mode

  In your Mac system preferences > universal access > mouse is the size of your cursor set to something more Normal?

  (But You ' l think that this would have on the display of the cursor in CS3 and CS5...)

  Is there a way to adjust the size of the brush with your mouse...

  Change the brush size: Alt + right mouse button

  Change the hardness of the brush: Alt + shift + right mouse button

  If you have enabled the drawing OpenGL,

  You can see how the hardness is changed and the size too...

  Cannot use square brackets [and] to change the size of the brush because of the Swedish keyboard.

  Thought of remapping the function at other tangents, but could not find an entry for that

  in Edition > keyboard shortcuts, is there an and where in this case?

  I have the same trouble with a French keyboard.

  Edition > keyboard shortcuts > scroll tools: brushes, click on the symbol of the support - and then delete and enter the key you want to use.

  I use;  and the: (a semicolon and colon).

  Two days ago, I was able to change my Photoshop brush size and hardness by dragging my mouse while pressing ctrl + alt on my Mac, but today it no longer works. I reset all my settings and also the Brush tool, but it will not work. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?

  You are right! HyperDock has effectively hijacked the shortcut. After uninstalling it, everything has worked again.

  I have a problem with photoshop brushes.  I click on the brush I use and then when I put it in place the image is smaller than the image described?  Does anyone know how to fix this please.  I have it on the two CS ^ CC 2015.  It all started when I got a new hard drive installed on my comouytrer and had to reinstall all my applications.

  Maybe your on a mac?

  If so, check that the size of the cursor in the System Preferences > accessibility > display is set to Normal.
