  Microsoft are taking his retirement from Windows Messenger. He was replaced with Skype. However, this is purely speculation on my part as I have not personally tried to uninstall Skype me. Have you also tried to uninstall in safe mode? Keep pressing the F8 key as your PC starts and then, when a menu appears, select Safe Mode.

• Skype for win 8 problems

  Skype for win 8 does not have the feature I need, so why am I being forced to change to something I can't use? The last time I tried Skype for win 8, he FORCED me to have Skype VISIBLE tab at any time to use it at all.   I bought a new Portege with Win Vista on it and Win Xp on a CD Revovery. It has worked on my new laptop. Then I installed Win 7 on it without making a backup of my system of work. It was a big mistake. I downloaded Win 7 of the Toshiba homepage divers. But the Fingerprint Software means that there is no sensor. The driver has been installed. After much trying, I used the recovery CD. Now I have WIN XP on my system with the same problem. It was a recovery with all the drivers CD. He had to work. But it does not work.

  I just bought a Satellite Pro U500 with Windows 7 installed. I also have a TOSHIBA Windows XP product supplied with the laptop recovery DVDs. Was told I could downgrade to XP with the DVD.

  I want to install Win XP in addition to the existing installation of Windows 7 on a different partition, I intend to create.
  Can I create a create a separate partition and then use the recovery TOSHIBA Windows XP product DVD to install Win XP on it?

  Am just worried I might spoil the on the laptop's recovery partition?

  Basically, I want to be able to run the current Windows 7 and Win XP on my machine and want to know the best way to do it without damaging the existing TOSHIBA recovery partitions.

  + downgrade to xp + means that you are not allowed to use your win7 installation any longer...

  ask problem "dual-boot":
  burn a DVD restore *, choose from the start menu

  After that, you can choose partition wich you like "sacrifice" for xp and install it...
  XP can't 'see' the install of win7, but you need a Boot Manager to boot both systems (xp is crushing the win7 boot code)

  or you go the other way:
  installation of xp and then install win7
  This has the advantage that win7 offers you the ability to boot xp from the bootmenu.
  in both options, you lose the hard drive recovery!

  Hi, the computer is a Toshiba Satellite Pro running Windows 7.

  Unfortunately, when I talked to him he got terrible echo feedback. He tried to plug the headphones in his computer, but also got terrible feedback when I talked to him. He also cut its speaker and still got feedback.

  The Skype app version was abandoned on July 7.

  The closest thing to it is Skype Translator you can get from the Bank, its either that or use the desktop version.

• Use of Skype and CPU.

  Seems, I'm not the only person having trouble with Skype for the moment, but I'm not getting 100% CPU usage problems as many other people. My CPU with open Skype usage revolves around 12 to 25% and is very unstable at the moment for some reason any. Not had this problem earlier in the morning, but as soon as I'm online, connected to Skype, everything was slow and non-responsive so I opened the Task Manager and saw that it was chewing a lot of my CPU for a reason any.

  I have no idea, why is it so hard to have the option "Block friend requests" in Skype? Like 2-3 spam friend requests, I do every week. Its boring xxxxxxx and really makes me go away from Skype and of course, I'll have to ask my friends to install new alternatives, so we can discuss without blocking spammers once a day or two!

  Actually, the answer is B.S. Before Microstupid bought Skype profiles could be put in private and the crooks could not access the info. Also I've never had this problem of applications unsolicited contact before MS succeeding Skype.
