  After that I updated to Skype to the newest one, it crashes whenever I start it. I tried to look for further discussions on this forum and tried like 50 different things (IE cleaning, decommissioning, IE, etc etc) now the problem is, Skype 6.14 works fine for me, but in general, the next time I start my PC it auto updated Skype 7.0.0.102 and it works fine, does not crash but my MAIN problem is I can't join some calls because it says I need to put updated my Skype. How in the world I am supposed to "update" my Skype and use it when I can't even it starts without it crashing?   You can also do a check of the system files:

  Start > Search > cmd > righclick cmd run as admin > sfc/scannow (leave running until the end and hope that all errors are recovrable)

  (if Windows 8.1 or 10, just rightclick start for admin cd shell).

  Hello, I have been using Skype for a while now, but recently I had problems with it working properly.

  I am able to log well, but as soon as I connect, Skype says it has encountered a problem and it stops. I tried to uninstall and reinstall, the "name change Skype to old_skype' thing, glancing at my firewall and my anti-virus setting but have no luck fixing. I was however able to connect when I put my phone in airplane mode, but as soon as I took contact with wifi, it stops again. I have a suspicion that it may be related to when the window update a couple of days, but I have really no piece of evidence to support this theory.

  If anyone has any ideas to help solve my problem, I would be very happy. Thank you for your time.

  Open the Windows event-> custom views-> administrative events Viewer. Look for error messages recent with timestamp corresponding to Skype crash. Copy and paste here the text on the general tab.

  I tried to delete Skype from my computer completely, but the problem persists. I also tried running an earlier version, which worked, but I wasn't getting any messages from the group for a while, and when I did, my text messages were however not passed.

  I searched and found a program called VCamFix. I used it and it has adjusted the four video signals Dxtory and my Skype now works perfectly again.

  your accident seems to be caused by out-of-date drivers for the webcam Sonix. I recommend either by removing or their update

I tried to rename the Skype folder in %APPDATA%\microsoft\windows\sendto and deleted the db folder, but none of them seem to work because I still have the same question.
