Skype headset

Hello

I want to plug an earpiece/microphone to chat in a Thinkpad T420, but he has a shot.

I read that I can use a splitter to connect two things, but I wonder if it should be a particular type of separator because a normal it will mix just the two signals (right?).

I want to be sure what type of divider before buying.

Hi Zardoz,

Welcome to Lenovo Community!

According to your request, we understand that you have a problem with the Audio Combo Harbour on ThinkPad T420.

Here is the link to solve the problem, which had other users.

Issue of MIC & Audio Port.

I hope this helps!

    Hi johns3,

You will need an adapter like this one on Amazon, make sure you find an adaptor specially for making headphone and microphone port and not just a separator. I don't know what you have access to, but it will help you know what to look for.

  • Tecra M9: Toshiba BT & WLan helmet - preparation of pilot error

    Hi, any guidance appreciated here.

I have a Tecra M9, Bluetooth stack is v5.10.12. I recently bought a pair of bluetooth headphones wireless (Arena), which works very well with my Orange (HTC) handset. I can pair with the Tecra successfully (on pairing they offer three classes of service BT - sink Audio, headphones and hands-free), but attempts to connect and then come up with a failure message. In a case for a "preparation of the pilot error."

I have other apps (e.g. Skype) closed at the time, potential suggestions, I can try to get the connection work? What I want is to be able to use it as a wireless for Skype headset. It * should * work... As I said, the pairing seems to work ok, and I can choose "Bluetooth (wave)" in the control panel of audio devices, something is fundamentally good.

    Robert CfG

HM, odd noises. Tried another battery of BT? I mean, for example, a former on? And can you please give accurate and detailed information about the error messages that appear after pairing and using the headphones.

It s a very rare error and I guess it should throw something into the section of the driver...

Maybe we can figure it out, but until I need additional information in this case, no matter which.

    Welcome them

  • Pavilion dv6 laptop Audio problem

Product: Hp Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC

    Product number: QE068UA #ABA

    Windows 7 64 bit

Hello, so here's my problem. This laptop is only three days old, and already I have a problem. So what is happening is that the audio transmission is having a problem. I have 95% use a headset and the audio works fine with headphones. BUT what happened earlier today that I just listened to a few songs and then I got a call from Skype, and just as I began to speak, the sound was messed up. The person's voice played through headphones, but my computer sound (the song) started playing through the computer and not the headset. Then, I tried to unplug my headphones and plug it back in, but then it didn't always work. The only way it worked was if I held the helmet and halfway into the socket. So, basically, I can't really talk to anyone on the computer without computer audio is turned on and messed up. Any help would be good. Thank you!

    Welcome to the forum.

Try this and see if it helps.

Right click on your sound on your taskbar icon and enter the Settings of Volume Option.

Check the boxes for your audio devices.

    Click OK

Now, click on the sound icon and see that you will have a sound control for your devices appear next to each other - there will be a line through them.  If you set the primary audio device, everything goes with it, adjust the other (s), it/they adjust only.

Adjust the checked boxes and sliders to get what you want.

    Sound--> reading--> speakers and headphones-->--> advanced properties

I think you need to use the "Exclusive Mode" setting on the Advanced tab to keep only one application (another) to capture the sound control.  I don't know which application would have priority (or which one you prefer under what circumstances)-I think this is where you will have control over what happens when, for example, you use a Skype headset session and start a game session which (I assume) would use the speakers on the laptop (or external speakers (, depending on your configuration.)  See the graphics down.

Note that you can play with a variety of other sound settings (without making any damage) to increase the listening pleasure.  Just go slowly and check between the changes to make sure that you do not have too much too fast.

    Beware of the "improvements".

For example: The Loudness equalization can make a song sound clean and strong, it could deafen and strangle with the next song and make it difficult to hear. It is the opposite of what we want to do.  So desperate, try - if it works, use it, otherwise shut it off.

    Communications:

It is a setting in the Strait called "Communications" - If you use your laptop to make phone calls, you can adjust this setting as well as others.

  • Need to separate the headphones of speakers on x 51 but does not open realtek, only audio alienware

Basically, I need to open the Realtek program, but it seems to be more written by alienware audio because it is in my list of installed programs, however, when I try to open it, the only option I get is to uninstall it, after watching a few videos of how find and open the ect, it seems that the audio alienware is instead the realtek program.

I am wanting to split the sound from my headphones and speakers as currently it comes out both when I want music on my speakers and Skype through my headphones. I know that realtek has an option for what you can do two different audio channels. Earlier when I plug my headphones, it records under involved as well and not a separate playback device. Audio Alienware does not have this option and as I said, Realtek won't open.

If anyone knows how to get Realtek to open or has a work around fix I would be grateful, thanks in advance.

It looks like your drivers are twisted. Others have reported similar problems. I don't have this machine. If you solve this problem and use your analogue headset, try uninstalling all audio drivers (and their audio control panels) and try to install the appropriate drivers. Maybe even leave the Windows driver load.

But you know what would be the easiest?

Buy a cheap USB for Skype headset. It will use the "sound card" in the headphones. In addition, it is digital for all.

  • Bluetooth stereo headset and Skype - have to switch manually to sound card

    Hello

I use the Bluetooth stereo headset and Toshiba bluetooth stack for Toshiba bluetooth adapter No.

I need to connect the headphones so that he was an audio device by default when it is connected. I plugged the headphones using link HOWTO: [this | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9602MS0000R01.htm] page.

The problem is that while the headset is disconnected, soundcard, assosiated to Headset profile remains peripheral by default for Skype (it does not disappear from the Device Manager) and I need to change back to the usual card manually.

The second problem is that automatically when the headset is turned on, it connects to the PC using the profile not headphone A2DP. and to connect to AD2P, I must again manually.

I'd be happy to help all problems, thank you.

Have you ever found a solution?

Unfortunately I don't have a solution for you, but I m interesting how to solve this problem

  • Windows 7 problem of bluetooth connectivity with bluetooth for Skype-ing headsets?

I've read similar questions on the form, and unfortunately I could not find an answer to my question. Starting from 01/12/09, I upgraded to windows 7 home edition with minor compatibility issues (negligible). But, before installing windows 7 I was able to use my headset bluetooth with Skype. Now, sype does not recognize this connection between pc and my bluetooth headset. Ironically enough my pc has allowed for the configuration of my listener. my headset is appointed to be my helmet without wireless/bluetooth for use with Skype or any other program from my PC. In addition, my PC is allowing and acknowledging the connectivity between my PC and the bluetooth headset but not Skype. I tried to reconfigure Skype, but have failed to prove any changes to the default settings. your help is greatly appreciated.

Windows Update has nothing to do with the upgrade of Windows or your problem. Contact the Skype Support or try to repost your question here: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7install/threads

  • Skype audio bug using headset

I want to post a bug I've found with Skype on the touchpad with 3.0.2 (might as well be 3.0).  I got my Palm Pre plugged headphones (with microphone) and a Skype appealed and everything worked perfectly (as long the end has Skype 5.3 or under on their PC).    During the call, I took off my helmet and the counterparty could no longer hear my voice (I could hear the background conversation). I tried activating / that disabling audio muting option and which did not. Connect the headset didn't solve it either. I had to drop the call and the recomposition of the head of audio to work again.  This has been replicated several times and took place I initialized the call with the headset or and tried switching.

We tested this question here and we get the same results. We will be passing this problem along for control engineering group. Please report this problem.

  • My headset is not working on Skype

Just got a new helmet and the microphone does not work. I tried other places and it works but when I call my friends, they cannot hear me! What I am doing wrong? (or not do)?

Not sure that will fix things, but try to select your new mic in Audio/video in Skype preferences and sound preferences of the Mac system.

  • Problem of sound with Skype only - HP Pavilion laptop Windows 7 x 64

I have problems with the sound with Skype only - all other software that requires a sound work fine.  I don't hear my correspondent.  My Skype settings seem to agree and I get no error message.

    I run 7 x 64 window.  I have a laptop HP Pavilion G7.

    Any help?

    Hello

Sorry, you have problems. For Windows 7, try this:

Sign in to Skype. Click Tools at the top of the window, and then select Options in the menu drop-down. Click Audio settings in the left pane. Under the speakers, you can:

    • Use the Volume slider to adjust the volume.
    • Click on the arrow down in the drop-down menu to select the appropriate stakeholders.
    • Test the speakers by clicking on the green arrow next to the drop-down list of speakers.
    • Click on the link to make a free test call to make a test call.

It may be a good idea to plug a headset as a test to see if it works. You don't need a headset with a microphone; Just use any headset allows you to listen to your music on your iPod. The nice thing about using a stereo headset is that you can always talk through the microphone on your computer, but only you will hear responses from your correspondents, and is as much your comments.

Skype has a document of support practice that may help you: I can't hear my friend... (Windows desktop) .

And now, the delicate question: it is possible that your friend accidentally cut his microphone? Or what is happening with all of your calls?

  • His past of the helmet speaker for Skype/incoming call notification

I've listen to music in my headphones, using the regular audio jack or plug input audio communications. I get the same results with either decision.

When a Skype call comes in, the music will go to play through my headhphones playing through the speakers of the laptop.

When the call is completed, the sound stops playing on the pc speakers and returns to my helmet.

    I don't want this behavior.

    Thank you for your help.
