SL500... CLOCK does not keep time

Nine SL500... whenever the PC is shut down, either by hibernation or actually stop that time is exactly 28 minutes off.  If I change time to be correct, it will remain correct until the next time it is restarted.  What function key must be held down for a boot configuration mode so I can see what's on the actual system clock?  Am running windows XP Pro

Just press F1 when you turn on your system to get into the BIOS and see your SL500 cmos clock time.

  • System tray clock does not hold time

    I have a laptop DV6 3000 running on Win7-64 Home Entertainment.

The clock in the system tray is not keeping time. Research Interent showed me the battery on the motherboard, I traded that last night with a new one and it is still wasting time. It seems to stop at that time, I finally used the laptop.

Any suggestions on what else to try?

    Hi Dominic

My apologies for the late reply to thank you.

I finally got around to replace the mother board battery, there is no adverse reaction, somehow and we are now a very happy Bunny.

  • The BIOS clock does not work after upgrade to Windows 7

XW4300 workstation has been recently updated to Windows 7 from XP pro.  After the update, the system clock did not keep accurate time, then I entered the BIOS Setup and set the time here.  After several hours, I rebooted, entered the BIOS configuration and noticed clock BIOS had not changed.  I replaced the CMOS (CR2032) battery with three different batteries and BIOS clock does not always change.

Occasionally, Windows 7 system clock will synchronize to the BIOS clock, which creates the incorrect time in Windows. I can see these events in the system event log.

Is it possible that this problem is related to the Win 7 upgrade, or is it a problem without a report?  Suggestions to control or fix the BIOS clock beyond what has been done so far?  If I can't fix the BIOS clock, is it possible to prevent the synchronization of the clock in the BIOS Win 7?

    ERICO wrote:

Replace the jumper CLRCMOS or CLRRTC to its original position after erasing the CMOS memory and flashed the BIOS? If you do not then the time will be reset whenever you turn off the PC.

I have not found a CLRRTC jumper on the 4300.  Is there a jumper to reset the password (E49), and a CMOS reset button.

However, I tried to reinstall the battery with power supply cable disconnected, and it reset the CMOS all anyway.  Reset the CMOS seems to have solved the problem.  BIOS clock has now begun to follow the exact time again.  I rebooted several times now, and the time is now correctly.

Thank you all for your suggestions.

  • PC clock does not properly

I have a new PC with Windows 7. The clock is not keeping correct time if I adjust manually or via the internet.

    Dmqq

More often than otherwise, this is related to the battery CMOS be bad.  It is easy to replace and relatively inexpensive.  If another does not solve the problem it is probably something on the motherboard.

    Hello

First of all, make sure that your system is clean:

    using the analysis

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/ (recommended)

If you have anti antivirus program update it and run full scan or if you do not get this one:
    AVG Free http://www.avg.com/gb-en/download-free-anti-virus

Note that anti virus as Noroton and Mcafee tend to slow down your pc at startup and to work with your pc so if other steps has not helped your case, consider switching to other anti virus.

    Do using the analysis:

    http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/EEK/ recommended

You can run it from memory stick too.

"It is recommended to perform all analysis in safe mode.

Make sure your system is clean first. use ccleaner to get rid of junkfiles http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

Make sure your windows is uptodate and drivers work correctly and that they are as uptodate.

Try to clean boot to see which program is causing your pc run slow or unresponsive

    Statement here:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Basically, it must disable all startup items and services of NONE-Windows through msconfig, and then restart your pc and then put it in standby or idle mode and see if the problem is resolved?

Try to run less program in your startup, minimize your startup program. You can do this either by using the msconfig tool / ccleaner.

Make sure you drive for errors. Perform disk clean up and Defrag using windows tools.

    Test your windows files

Uninstall programs you do not use!

  • Illustrator does not keep the specified color!

    Hello
Illustrator does not keep the specified color!
I have a form, I give him the characteristics of color...
    random example: 15, 55, 65,15 (CMYK)

Once deselected, the shape takes a similar color and base of to forget my color!

I've encountered the problem and don't know how I had done to get!...

If anyone has an idea, thanks in advance

    Esteban,

If your document is in file > color Mode > color RGB, your CMYK values will get confused upward (literally).

Work with CMYK colors always use CMYK color mode.

  • Dreamweaver does not keep the fonts that I copy of MS Word

Yesterday I was copy of a MS Word document that uses Ariel Black & Ariel and paste it into Dreamweaver.
    Which was working fine yesterday.

But today, Dreamweaver does not keep the police but substituted another font (probably both).

I have no settings changes in Dreamweaver that could cause this.

    Anyone knows what could happen?

Go in Edition > Preferences, then click on "copy and paste" on the left. Tick the fourth option button that includes all formatting with styles.

Remember, however, that it creates ugly source code. The best practice would be to stick as 'text only' and then apply your layout via CSS in Dreamweaver. If you're not affected by what's under the hood of your Web site, don't sweat it - stick away and be done with it.

  • calendar-clock does not retain the exact time when the computer is turned off

    original title: calendar-clock

Clock only works when the computer is turned on.  It does not update the time.

date does not update also. It is a program in windows vista.

The year stay as the exact year, or back to a previous year, after restarting the computer?

    If the above applies:

You probably have a failed in your motherboard CMOS battery.

It's a battery power supply NET, size piece that keeps your system settings when your computer is off.

They cost about $5 to replace.

  • Clock will not show time. PC running XP.

I'm having a problem with my clock keeping time. I tried everything, including the suggested "fix" and nothing works. This seems to happen with the computer turned off. I've seen the suggestion about the battery, which I have not tried. There are all the other remedies you can suggest?  Thank you.

There are a few things that can cause a loss of time (or gain), in Windows. The CMOS battery has been suggested, and you should check the BIOS of your computer to check before replacing, but only after resetting the BIOS by default. But it could be that the Servicde of time Windows is interrupted.

    1. click on Start, click on run. Type cmd , and then click OK.

    2. at the command prompt, type net start w32time and press enter>.

The time service starts. If it has not been started, test when it is market so it can sync with time.windows.com. If the system maintains time in Windows, it could very well be the CMOS battery. If the computer is connected to a UPS, I remove as well and plug directly into the wall just to test.

  • Rocket will not keep time.

Hello. When I set the time on the "rocket" (4g, v2, 2.03.33a firmware), it stops time tracking when it is off. Is there a separate battery which does not, as a clock battery internal? Thanks in advance. Hope everyone is having a great day.

(I did a search first and nothing came. Sorry if this is a redundant question).

Yes, there is. I don't think it's fixable by the user if, so I hope it is still under warranty. If so, you should contact SanDisk directly on a replacement.
