  It s your choice either version you choose! ;)

  But if you have 4 GB or more RAM installed I suggest to choose the 64-bit version. Only this version can handle 4GB or more of RAM.

  If you n t have 4 GB of RAM, you can choose the 32-bit version. Some older applications require a 32 bit OS.

  What is the difference between 1.35v and 1.5V RAM?

  Is one of them significantly faster?

  The second module, I'll order must have the EXACT same as the first specifications?

  In other words, 1.35v and 1.5V sticks function correctly when installed side by side? Such a combination of hypbrid's going to fry my system?

  I doubt that there will be a noticeable speed difference. RAM improves only the speed very heavy multitasking Sub - or games, so I think - and then, even if the two RAM modules operate at 1333 MHz, their speeds, time to search or whatever the term is, should be the same.

  The 'v' at 1.35v seems to refer to the voltage, so it's possible a stick could use less energy, but I don't really know. The mother card could just anyway clock of the RAM to a certain tension.

  I also stay near factory or buy any module of RAM is suggested specifically for X 220.

  I bought my extra RAM from Crucial.com, using their RAM-finder menu.

  I recommend you to choose the 64 bit version of Windows 7, because it supports the full 4 GB of RAM and all 32-bit operating systems support only up to 3 GB of RAM.

  So, if you n t have some older applications, they require 32-bit, choose the 64-bit version and be happy with it! :)

  The Tecra 8000 is an oldie and it therefore RAM modules that are no longer used in most models of laptops.

  I've never had a Toshiba before but I heard that they are really good and reliable.

  The reason why I ask is that I tried to plug in external speakers and they would not work, I couldn't find a speaker headphone and microphone port. I thought it's maybe because the driver above has not been installed. Anyone know where I could find and download the driver.

  Take a look at the job (it can be downloaded on the website of toshibas)

  all the drivers for this laptop can be downloaded from toshiba too.

  the upgrade of the 120 GB HDD can work but there is no guarantee, perhaps that you have updated the bios

  the upgrade of the central unit is the most foolish thing to do... why?
  OK the cpu that works in your laptop be cheap
  core-duo won't work in this chipset/socket... (not sure)

  but make sure that this device will do things like surf the internet ;-) not in water ;-)
  play the music, if the driver is installed
  and the hard drive with 40 GB of space will be sufficient, if you put all your cds top ;-)

  It may be a good idea to pay a specialist for this 20 minutes to check and install the proper drivers...
