• Cannot install software on Windows 8

  I tried to install a few things about the new Windows 8 and just, I get error 1618, existing installation.  It is certainly not.  Some elements are MediaFace 5, espresso, update of QuickTime Media.  I tried as an administrator without success that well, I still get the error.  Please notify.  This could be a big problem quickly enough.

  Try a clean boot.

  Press Windows key + R

  type: msconfig.exe

  Press enter

  2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

  3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

  4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

  5. click on OK.

  6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

  7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

  I install software error code 1618 already running when I try to install software.  There is not any other system running.  However, when I look at taskmgr, I see 2 instances of msiexec running.  I was advised to cancel their but they restart immediately.  Any ideas?  Thank you.

  I suggest you to restart the computer, and then perform the clean boot and install the programs and see if that helps.

  Hi Hoan,

  These content items have accessories added to them? There's the attachment not ascii names? If Yes, then it was a problem with 11.1.1.8.0 server that is fixed in the patches published. You will need to install the last group of MLR 14 hotfixes and restart the server.

  In your first post you say "hosting updates Flash Player extracted from the background update .cab file" in your most recent post you state you get the files of fpdownload2.macromedia.com, who is at odds with your first message.  Your server set up, as evidenced by your screenshot contains many more files that are included in the background resources (fp_background_update.cab) updated cab file.  What you currently have on your server (. /beta for example, the patch directories), as shown in your screenshot is NOT supported for background work to update internal-flow.  Configure your local server using ONLY the files in the background resources (fp_background_update.cab) updated CAB file.  Essentially to delete everything you have in/pub/flashplayer/and deploy only what is included in the background update cab file resources

  We run BerkeleyDB incorporated in our java application. Normally, everything works fine. The problem occurs if we run two instances of the same application. The folder where the database files are created are separated for both. But it seems that when we stop something deletes files of database from running, and it crashes.

  In a little more detail on how we run things:

  (1)-> the init.d script starts a python module as long as root (2)-> start a Java program as a normal user (3)-> forks off java programs that use individual instances of BerkeleyDB (4).

  So if we start (3) manually things seem to work perfectly even if we have two instances of 4. Is that when the full thing is executed that the error occurs - the first process works well, the second process begins and ends and then the first process hangs because all the contents of his database folder disappeared.

  An additional point - if we put in place the HOME environment variable ' / root ' before you start (3) above - things are not lacking. We cannot do this for obvious reasons, but it's something we found by chance.

  The stack trace is attached below. If anyone can shed some light on what may be the cause that will be very very useful.

  Based on your description I guess that something outside or your script/application deletes files.  It is very unlikely that I delete all files in the directory of the environment.  We have never had a report of such a problem in any case, and it is difficult for me to imagine how it could happen.  For example, I clean / remove the two newer files.

  I should also mention that we don't certify the product on Windows, so there is a possibility that you run in a file locking issue that we do not know.  Normally I use a lock file to ensure that only I process (JVM instance) can write in a given directory.  If you accidentally allow two virtual machines Java write in the same directory and Windows file locking is badly behave, which could cause the problem.  However, I think it's unlikely.

  I've implemented an internal server update for Flash Player as described in the latest guide admin (v16).

  The web server that hosts the files of the last fp_background_update.cab is apache2 on SLES11.

  I configured a customer (win7sp1, fully patched) with mms.cfg pointing to the Web server. There v14 drive installed, activex and plug-in.

  The client using any browser, I can see and download files from the Web server.

  But information update does not install the more recent version, flashinstall.log shows that Web server is contacted and that xml files are processed, but it produdes warning and error codes for which I can't find any documentation, so type in the dark here.

  When you look at the Web server logs I can see more of behavior:

  -Customer pulls the majorversion.xml and the version.xml for new version (v16) - OK

  -The client tries to pull a patch.xml, which does not exist in the fp_background_update.cab. -STRANGE

  -Customer pulls the patch.xml (that I've provided manually by downloading it via wget for webserver) - OK

  -The client tries to shoot whatever it is and causes webserver error 400, which means generally bad customer demand - BAD

  According to your server logs files, only the XML file is retrieved.  The server logs have nothing for the Setup file itself, which is what the mistakes are referring to.

  1214 error means that the Setup log file failed to download.  The number of 12152 beside him is a Microsoft error code, which is:

  ERROR_HTTP_INVALID_SERVER_RESPONSE

  The response from the server could not be parsed.

  Error 1234 means the Update ActiveX failed.  Updates from bottom tent always first Update ActiveX (if installed).  Given that the Setup file can't download, the update is also a failure.

  How do you have your server configured?  Please ensure that port 80 is open for HTTP requests (for the Installer).  Since your getting the XML file, it seems that you already have open port 443 for HTTPS requests.

• Uninstall software update Apple says error in seller contact package package unstaller

  Try to get itunes working to make a backup of my faulty iphone before repair.

  First-itunes does not start says error. I'm trying to fix it, who said success but same error when you try to start it.

  Then uninstall completely worked. Then reinstall that seemed to be over except for a message "an older version of Apple software update already exists" then he went down and install itunes apparently had not been completed.

  Then I try to remove the update from the apple software and executed by an error in the installation program - it says there is an error in the installation and contact the supplier of the installation package. Same error if I run the uninstall command line program.

• SUMIF error

  I'm new to apple and get a syntax error when you use SUMIF.  In my table, I just need column F to test the value of column E.  If it is greater than 0, then divide by 20.  Thank you!
