Slacker for blackBerry Smartphones - it not works with headphones?

I just installed Slacker.  It works very well.  However, when I plugged in my headphones, the sound still came out of speaker of the storm.

Is it not possible to listen to Slacker with a helmet?

Looks like the axis of the microphone on the headset is what causes the problem.

Slacker works very well with other headphones and nothing else by using a standard audio jack.

  • Instant Messaging for blackBerry Smartphones will not work on wifi

I got my camera a few months ago. I always have my iphone, it wasn't until last week when I was reminded of I have a blackberry and started using it. Unfortunately, I always have a hard time linking my IM using wifi. This will never work! For example, whenever I try to log-in using my yahoo Messenger, I always get an error message indicating that "Service not allows for this pocket. I think maybe since it is a preinstalled application I should be able to use my IMs (esp. yahoo and google) using the wifi as when you use your iphone or android devices. So is there a problem on my phone because I can't use my IMs using wifi? Also I'm using curve BB 9220. Thank you!

Hello and welcome to the community!

    BlackBerry <> iPhone or Android

BlackBerry devices have owners that require subscription to a package of data from your provider, even if you use these services via WiFi. I don't remember if the specific services you mention fall into this category or not, but you need to ring to the top of your service provider and tell them about the exact services that you want to use and then make sure that you subscribe to a package of adequate data from them to enable these services.

    Good luck!

  • BBM blackBerry 10 does not work with the SIM on wifi

    Hello, all.

2 days ago BBM has stopped working on a wi - fi connection.

I removed my SIM card and BBM is OK. I can use it as it was earlier.

But when I have the SIM card UMEE it stopped working again.

    Experts, what would it be?

Unfortunately I will not work with the sim card and turn off wi - fi.

Seems to be the problem with my mobile provider.

Because BBM works perfectly with other providers.

    Thanks for the comments.

Anyone know what is/does not work with a WiFi on the phone?

    Thank you

N ° is the way in which your BlackBerry and the BIS service is implemented.

  • Case of pocket torch blackBerry Smartphones does not work for Bold 9780

    Nice day

I bought a BlackBerry Torch 9800 (ACC32838301) Pocket case, TELUS, but it useless for my flashlight. I want my wife to use this case for his Bold 9780 but the magnet does not work by putting the camera in mode 'sleep'. Why is this? The case is a little big, but still fits well on the Bold 9780. Is the magnet misaligned a very little bit for the "BOLD"?

I use an old case of leather case that has worked for my old Curve 8330, Bold 9780 and Torch 9800. So why not this new business. Y at - it something wrong with my case specifically, or if it is not designed to work for the "BOLD"?

    http://www.BestBuy.ca/en-CA/product/BlackBerry-BlackBerry-Pocket-case-for-9800-torch-acc32838301-bla...

    Thank you.

    Hello

The placement of the magnet is different for different models of BBs. Some are interchangeable, the more I think are not. Therefore, it is always best to use a case that is made for the specific model of BB.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry BBM Smartphones do not work with wireless network? !

    Hello

as indicated in the section above, the BBM service has worked with me when I connected to the wireless network

but before two days I tried to open the BBM messenger through the connection to the wifi, but it doesn't work and all the

other applications (e.g. windows live messenger, facebook,...) do not work!

    So what's the problem.. ?

Hmmm... I don't know your data plan, so I'm not sure what "I have no credits" really means. But if it means that, in this condition, BBM does not work via the data network of the carrier at that time here, then it won't work either via WiFi. BBM is a service of exclusive BB for BB only to pay customers... If your data plan has expired, suspended, or otherwise does not, then the exclusive services BB also won't work, regardless of your channel access attempt. Even with access, via WiFi, your data plan must be active with your operator to use the BB exclusive services.

I can't guess precisely why your friend could use BBM in the situation you described. Perhaps he lacked credits on its data plan at home, which then allowed BBM to function via WiFi from anywhere. I have no way of knowing anything to this topic for sure.

So, basically, I guess my question is this:

    (1) right now, access BBM through your carrier data network?

    (2) if so, can you also then, as good this time, access BBM through WiFi?

If your answer to question 1 is 'no', there should be no hope for you to access the BBM via WiFi.

If the answer to question 1 is 'yes', then you should be able to access BBM through WiFi... If you can't, then we some additional diagnosis to make.

Thank you and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6.1 smartphones does not work with Windows 7

I am my end with the Blackberry Desktop Manager software 6.1 I have now uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times!

Operating system is Windows 7 Pro.  Made own re - installs every time.  The onbly sucessful BB Desktop Manager was Version 5 - which in my view is no longer to download after agreeing to the update to version 6.

Vicious ferret kindly sent some suggestions but they did not work.

BlackBerry Curve 3 G, not very far going into the waste tray...

Therefore, I can't synchronize or update or make full use of my phone.

    Help!

You can see why I'm exasperated. PC is relatively new and built (software wise) from scratch - IE don't have not just download old system files.

Bishop office just will not load. Tried various troubleshooting patches offered on the sites of RIM (pretty useless) advice.

Have now uninstalled all BB and the restarted and downloaded Office Mgr version 5 and myself to try again syning flight.

Even followed the suggestions on Microsoft Outlook 2010 to Outlook Connector.

  • My blackberry Messenger blackBerry smartphones does not work

My blackberry froze, so I took out the battery and put it in the back after turning on my bbm does not work. I reinstalled the Messenger, software, it still does not work. On my own network, so good so there must be a problem with the phone

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

A little sparse on the details... "they don't work" could mean that they launch, they communicate, or a myriad of other possible symptoms. Accurate description of what you're trying and that happens helps us not to guess.

But, since you have left to guess, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can not connect with BlackBerry servewr

Today, for the first time, my Curve 9300 unable to connect with the e-mail server. I do not receive my mails and can not delete and enter setup new email accounts.

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

  • My bb id blackBerry smartphones does not work on my mobile

My battery drains (he went it automatically) BUT after I loaded and turned on, he asked for BLACKBERRY ID SIGN IN. I entered my username and password but a message "the username and password provided do not match a valid BlackBerry ID". I was shocked coz I know that I entered their right. I entered them again but still the same message appears. I opened my email to the laptop and found that I didn't activate the BlackBerry ID again (by clicking the link provided). I went on another link, and from there I was able to enter the SAME user name and password and they WORKED! I was able to get another link for activation, and I clicked on as well. Now, my blackberry ID is activated.

I went back to my phone, entered the same user name and password, BUT THE SAME MESSAGE APPEARS. Help! I have more than 3 attempts before it will erase all my data.

Ok... I see now. I've never really failed with my BB ID, so I don't have the exact experience you had. Maybe they have improved security still further... If you consider personal information attached to a BBID, is probably a good thing indeed!

ID of BB is really necessary because it combines so many things at you and your BB (AppWorld, BIS, etc.), giving up so it is not really an option.

The suspicion only I have is this... maybe you have a mix of different characters in your password and maybe were not able to enter properly on the BB keyboard. For example, if your password

    • AB123

    and if you enter

    • a > b > ALT > 1 > 2 > 3

    the result will be

    • ab1er

    You must enter

    • a > b > ALT > 1 > ALT > 2 > ALT > 3

in order to close with ab123. Thus, in this example, while on the BB keyboard, you think you type ab123, you actually type ab1er.

In most circumstances, on your BB, you have the ability to view, clear, the password... that you type your password (you should get a moment where each character is indicated in clear before it turns into a *) or, in certain circumstances, a checkbox to display it. Watch carefully next time and you will see a surprising result. Its possible some modifier key was stuck or something, resulting in an incorrect entry on the BB keyboard.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Trackpad not working not

Please help so I received a text message on my blackbery 8520 and I entered the password as usual and the trackpad would not move, I couldn't scroll but I could click but does not scroll please help.

Ok. The problem can be well mechanical.

Open the rear cover and remove the sim card and the battery. There is a small rectangular stainless steel metal plate which is the cover for the touchpad. On the left side of the plaque next to the sim card is a small sweet white piece of sticky paper covering a torx screw that holds the plate in place.

Use a torx screwdriver with a bit of size of T5 and carefully remove the screws, remove the metal plate, then reinsert and replace and tighten the torx screw. You will find that the screw was loose and the plate cannot have been firmly in place. It may solve your problem for good as a loose torx screw prevents the touchpad or the optical block to make the necessary full contact inside this cover.

Make sure not to lose the very tiny torx screws while working on this topic. You can get a torx screwdriver very cheap with a set of bits of miniature for a few s all about £ or $' s. make sure there is a bit of T5 in the game.

A temporary solution that could help until you get the right screwdriver is to put firm pressure on the cover of metal plate with your finger. This does not work for a while but the gel always returns.

Another fix recommended by some is to remove and reinstall Blackberry software, but is not a reliable solution, given the issue of loose screws. The only real difficulty is to follow the procedure above, as long as your touchpad is not physically defective and must be replaced.

  • Email regular POP3 for blackBerry Smartphones will not be implemented

Hi guys, my small business has recently moved to a new dedicated server and after works well at first, now I am unable to set up one of our mailboxes on any BlackBerry (torch tried, "BOLD", curved) device on any carrier (Rogers, Bell Canada and T-Mobile, AT & T in the United States). I have try the basic settings (email address and password), then when this fails, advanced settings (which are necessary as my email user name is non-standard; it is always username + example.com when the address is [email protected] and the mail server is mail.example.com). After a long "treatment...". "I am told"address incorrect email and password. ... If the error persists, contact "my server" the thing is, all of these mailboxes works fine in any other client e-mail with the same settings (Outlook, Thunderbird, iPad, etc.) and as I said, worked fine a few times on BlackBerry before now doesn't work at all. In a sense, I am the administrator of my server, even if I was on with the support of my hosting provider and they are confused as well. This problem does not occur on any of their other similar hosted servers, only mine. My question for everyone here is if there is some process, some address, something to the RIM that should be allowed to communicate with my mail server tha could potentially be blocked in some way, and if anyone has any ideas on how I could know if what is happening. My default mail server is Dovecot (including the BlackBerry "Fastmail' service, which worked fabulously before this started), but I tried Courier so unsuccessfully for the mail server itself does not seem to be the problem. I am happy to provide additional information or even a test account, if anyone has a suggestion!

    Problem solved.

If someone needs to know, http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB11036 describes the IP addresses that must be unlocked in order for the BIS interact with a mail server.

However, DO NOT included on this list has been 74.82.80.0/24, another server RIM, I discovered this morning had been blocked by my server. This list has been updated end of 2011, so I guess they changed things since then. Anyway, once I unlocked which will, everything works now.

Does anyone know how I can contact RIM and suggest they update their list so other people do not go through this?
