• Help! I am totally, completely screwed upward a TX brand new!

  Ok.  I have an old Tungsten E, synchronized with my office.  I've got some software of third party on it.  I bought a new brilliant TX and had today.  I saved the entire record of the Palm and applications data folder on my IMac G5 (Mac OS 10.4.11) thoughtfully.  I followed closely the starting instructions, the software installed and hot-synced with data from my old tungsten e.  It has also installed all software, including the old version of Calc, of all things, on my new TX.  It reset all buttons down and destroyed the photo looks a thing.  So I tried to remove anything on the handheld which do not belong.  I've also restored the old records of palm and got rid of all the. PRC files.  Then I tried to make an another hot-synch, but when I try to hotsync, the machine stops, restarts and asks me to reset the location, date and time.  It seems that I don't have any position of hotsync.  I seem to have completely screwed up your handheld.  Is it possible to reset to how it was when it came from the factory?  What should I do?

  Hello and welcome to the Community Forums of Palm.

  Your TX would have received a combination of 1) application of incompatible third party of your old T/E and 2) a T/E system file that plays well with the TX.

  As a general rule, the way to solve these problems is to go into your office files and simply rename the folder "backup" on your device.  That's where all the 3rd party apps and system/preference files are stored. After this is done, you can Hotsync your regular back of PIM data (contacts, calendar, etc.) and selectively reinstall only the third party apps you want.

  Problem is here, I can't tell you where it is on your computer cuz I'm not Mac.   But the resolution is basically the same procedure is covered by Palm knowledge base Article, and it seems to include guidance on where to find the folder user on Mac as well:

• My home page is completely screwed up and unusable

  My homepage is att.my.yahoo.com. Yesterday, the home page has become all a big mish mash of various links, but not something usable. I tried Safari and my homepage is correct.

  Have you tried looking at the article sites look bad or appear differently than they should? I was watching especially style cache sections and the page.

• The trackpad is completely screwed on dv7 HP Envy. w / Windows 8/8.1

  Until recently, my laptop has worked almost problem-free until I started hearing some weird beep sound from the speaker. I don't know if it's relevant to the problem, but it might have something to do with it. I noticed the next day morning, the trackpad would not work correctly while being logged on to Windows. I have to hold the left click just to get the cursor to move. In addition, gestures and the part of the trackpad that lets you disable the entry work at all! The only time that the trackpad will essentially work correctly is in just about any environment before loading the Windows account.

  Resolution of the problems so far:
  -remove the device driver = basic function but a poor performance.
  -deleted and reinstalled the driver for the trackpad on the site = same problem once more.

  SOLVED! I don't know how to mark the topic as resolved, but all that was needed to solve the problem was a hard restart (remove all devices and power sources and hold the power button for about 30 seconds).

• Navigation pane completely screwed after Parent folder library moved to the desktop by mistake

  Please someone help me! I was at the own temporary file last night and somehow in the process I need to have done drag the folder of libraries under the desk on the Navigation pane. So I had Office appear under Favorites and then as one of the bureau which had libraries in it as well as Documents, music, photos and videos. I found a suggestion of support that says right click on libraries and then "restore default". However, this does not work. I then found another suggestion of support under another question posted and he said to go to your username and to restore by default and now ALL my files are appearing under the second office. (First Office is always appear under Favorites.) When I watch the office itself there is no shortcut to libraries. I just like my tree organized as the default Windows Navigation pane. I am petrified to do more on mine because I don't want to make one delete a folder and lose anything! On top of that, I have Sync of sugar which is on my old laptop and my other I'm talking about now. I had taken two laptops for "Geek Squad" to have everything transferred on another and explained that I had a storage cloud sync program. They said they knew all about who and how to get all the data on the new laptop. I told them that I didn't need to use the cable to transfer mobile to mobile. HOWEVER, when I picked up the laptops, they HAD used the cable and all the folders have been duplicated! I didn't know how to get rid of duplicates (not knowing which was the record 'original' and who was the double, so I left it alone.) At least I knew how to find my stuff! I wish I could post a screenshot of what it looks like now, but I can't understand how to do it anymore. I press prt sc to copy it to the Clipboard and then try to paste here, but it does not work. Sorry this is so long and hiking but I wanted to try to describe what happened. I'm desperate! Any help is appreciated!

  Well good to remove the nine, just right-click and use 'delete' or 'delete' (varies according to the place where the icon).  Without prejudice to the because you can always pick up something from the trash if you accidentally delete.

  What I would say is just first TreeViewImageSet.Custom to folder Explorer all values by default in order to boot from a fresh install by default.  To do this:

  1. Click on organize at the top left of the folder, choose folder and Search Options
  2. Click 'Restore defaults' on all 3 tabs, and then click OK.

• Policies that screw the customer

  As a huge fan and long time Adobe software user, I am deeply frustrated to have to write this.

  I've used Adobe products for years and encouraged my husband to learn how to use them by getting a subscription Creative cloud a year and half ago.

  Never learned to use the software, there is the subscription during this period. He auto-renouvelé about 8 months ago and, without realizing it, he got locked in a contract for a full year.

  When we tried to cancel it, we were informed that they would be penalized $ 100 for the cancellation of an annual contract that did not explicitly accept.

  This policy does not help the customer, it completely screws the client. Now, I am so angry that I don't even want to use Adobe products (and I've used them every day for 24 years!) I'm Livid.

  The customer service representative, who helped us was beautiful and able to give 2 free months of service, so the $100 would eventually be the same either way.

  Unfortunately, this does solve the problem. I want my husband to be released from his contract without financial penalty. Now. I still have my account and it may return someday, even if us two piss so much that it makes us think twice about this topic.

  Please, Adobe, improve your customer service and do not block your people in the contracts of the year after having been good customers. It's the golden age of the customer service, this kind of problem should not exist.

• Mail.app: S/Mime encrypted attachments do not work under MacOS Sierra

  Hello

  I can't send or receive attachments when messages are encrypted with S/Mime since the upgrade to Sierra. Attachments sent and received on a MacOS-El-Capitan is available on El Capitan. But the same messages with attachments is more available on Sierra, as well as new messages with attachments sent from Sierra can be viewed on El Capitan or Sierra. Looks like the handling of encrypted attachments is completely screwed.

  The indication for messages with encryption and signature is still flaky and is not consistent.

  The indications for encryption and signing is a bug for years. What is interested in someone at Apple Mail.app and S/Mime? It doesn't seem a Herculean task to do things, and it is a core feature.

  Recently, I got an HDMI cable that connects my iPhone 6 to my television through charger port. I have Visual but audio is completely screwed up sounds stuttery and nervous and boring. It also displays a message at the bottom of the screen saying "error # error codec airplay! I can't come to terms with it at all? I use ios 10 if that helps. Any help is appreciated as I can't seem to do anything

  My guess is that HMDI cable / port charger HDTV interface is the question.

  In order to exclude from your iPhone, have you tried streaming audio and video for Apple TV or other AirPlay-ready device? If so and succeeded the iPhone wouldn't be the problem

• Update messed up Firefox my toolbar.

  I've updated my firefox via apt - get update on Ubuntu and my toolbar is now completely screwed up as see you on the screenshot.

  I agree that it was probably the complete theme that you used on Firefox that should be updated.

• I accidentally deleted the iCloud device (my iPad not lost or stolen... but it's very very locked down)

  So, I accidentally deleted the iCloud device (but my iPad is not lost or stolen). This all started because I forgot my password and I want to reset the unit. In the process, I have deleted my camera from the iCloud website (stupid self-help sites and my idiocy). in any case, I am about to connect my iPad to iTunes so that I can update and restore my device (which will erase my password and give me a new start... right?) BUT I don't know if I actually restore since, as I said - I deleted icloud . Before I go ahead and update/restore via iTunes, I want someone to confirm or deny or not I'm completely screwed and all my stuff was gone. While I can start crying now rather than later.

• Any old Android can connect Bluetooth to my imac, why my iPhone 6 cannot? !!

  Even if u must have the Apple store credit or credit card (in some countries, and this is how I pay for mine), this amount will not be deducted until the * end * of the trial period...

  So sign up just for the 3 month free trial and if you do not see what right for simply cancel you cancel the renewal of your account because noting going to the ends of the trial anyway.

  If you use virtualization of the browser Zone Alarm or any other similar product or a sand-Boxing program (i.e., Sandboxie), turn it off when updating Firefox or Firefox Add-ons. You can post on the forum for a product that you use to get further instructions on the proper use of the product.

  The updater has not been able to update all the files and some were left as older versions. Do a clean reinstall. See: browser starts no-XUL Runner error after update

  1. Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
     • Current version of Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
  2. Uninstall your current version of Firefox.
     • Do not remove the data of a personal nature when you uninstall the current version
     • Your bookmarks and other profile data stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

  3. Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

  I'm on Qosmio E10 with MCE 2004.
  When I go to "Windows Update" I see something called "Update Rollup 1 for eHome Infrared Receiver for Windows XP Media Center 2005" (KB888795) Edition "»
  It is optional and install it I has yet because I'm not sure if I'm supposed to install at all since I'm on MCE 2004.

  I read another thread on this forum saying that this update completely screwed the infrared receiver on some configurations.

  So, question: Toshiba recommends installing this update for MCE 2005 on an MCE 2004 installation?

  (I was surprised that it appears in Windows Update despite my MCE 2004..., perhaps a bug of Microsoft?)

  My opinion is: don t touch a system running unless you are talking about an update to security... but MS recommends the update, so you can do the update, but it is at your own risk... as far as I know, Toshiba do support the software they offer with unit... not necessarily MS Update.
  In this case, you can try to run the update. If something goes wrong, you can roll back the OS with Restore tool.
