  • "Sleep" mode does not work after Windows Update

After that a windows update 2 weeks ago my "mode" has been disabled. It is visible on the start menu, but is paler than other settings. I tried to restore my computer to before the update, but it says there is no date for the value. I've used the system restore and it worked fine. After the update my display settings have been changed also, but that was easily put back.

Can anyone help? I saw other people with similar problems, but I find no answers that worked on my computer.

    Hello

Fitrst ensure that the printer has the latest firmware:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c04083718

More don't forget to connect its completely directly to a wall outlet and not by some power strips, surge protectors, etc.

If the same results persists, try temporary disconnect a cable from the back of the printer in order to isolate any possible cause (e.g. fax, USB cable, etc.), remove one cable at a time and to check for the difference.

I suggest starting with telephone wires, telephone line condition as example may prevent the printer from sleep remaining.

Please let me know the results,

    Shlomi

  • ElitePad 1000 G2: Sleep button does not work for sleep

    Dear community,

I have a problem with my HP ElitePad 1000 G2: after a few updates sleep button on the device has become idle to send the unit in standby mode. It works for starting Windows from Power Off, it works for the dialog box to Switch Off if you push 5 sec. But it does not work if you press briefly just to fell asleep.

I tried several times to configure the Power Options settings (power button configuration: all options are set to sleep for button / stop and sleep button). I don't know what to do. Help, please!

    Thank you

    Vaso

    Hi Vaso,

Yes I know. This is no solution ;-)

I'm sure that: when you uninstall the WWAN module (do not reboot) the sleep button is working again! ;-) Please try it out.

I have this problem on all our shelves.

The problem is the Intel driver on the HP site.

Please give us a feedback. I'll do some tests on my site also thereafter.

  • Private browsing mode does not work

I've been without a pc for a while, now have a new with Windows 10. Just downloaded latest Firefox. I put it to always open in private browsing mode. But it does not work. When I close the browser, and then re - opening, my start page is not display the mask or indicate private browsing. I can get it in the usual way, just right-click on the icon that gives you options to open the new window or a private.
I tried to turn on/off the navigation mode private the several times, still no luck.

Probably, you won't see the purple mask of private browsing mode when you are in permanent PB mode because all windows are automatically in PB mode.
You will see the mask when Firefox is started in normal mode and you open a new private window.

You can use an extension for private browsing mode support tab.

  • Qosmio X 875 - ECO mode does not work immediately after Win 8 upgrade

I used the upgrade Toshiba Upgrade Wizard to Win 8. He succeeded well uninstall the incompatible software before the upgrade and install the new Toshiba and driver versions after the upgrade.

I activated the ECO mode, and to my surprise, it does not work as before (in Windows 7):

    * Now, it works with the brightness to level 1 *... very dark. Before, ECO mode allowed me to go up to level 4 and was always considered in Eco mode...

If I increase the brightness, the 'eco mode is disabled' message opens immediately.

How to contact Toshiba to inform them of this problem and the other problem I found with the new BIOS?

    BTW, I am owner of a Qosmio X 875

Contact your Toshiba authorized service provider in your country.

    Read this:
+ What is the TOSHIBA eco Utility? +
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ2503AT0000R01.htm

    > It changes the brightness of the display of level 4, changes the brightness of the grey screen of level 1 (* 4),.
_The * 4 means only on models with Windows7 installed _

I guess that the previous configuration was only Win 7.

8 win was made for mobile (use of the Tablet), the energy consumption of battery is also very important plant help to win 8. The consumption of the battery must be taken at the lowest level possible.
So I guess that now help win 8 ECO medium mode and save the power max and long battery life time working at a max level.

Hi, all of a sudden my sleep buttons do not work!  When I click on 'Sleep', the monitor stops and the PC begins to close down, but then reason that the PC (and monitor) will be provided in works immediately...  Someone has an idea?  :)

    Hello

If sleep used to work, you can try a system restore to when it worked. The cause could be
an update of Windows - especially a update driver then check Control Panel - Windows updates - if you need to
Remove on look in the lower left - installed updates and uninstall - then you can right click on an update
and so it will not install to HIDE it. Following the publication of the update could solve your problem and have probablt is the
    best way to take 1st.
