• Difficult to set sleep timer

  We just bought the Sony BRAVIA KDL55HX. Great TV EXCEPT - who made access to the Sleep function. All other TVs we had the timer had a button on the remote control to directly access the Sleep function. Depending on where the Home button has been used the previous time it takes between 5 to 10 keys to access the Sleep function. How does anyone do this late at night? VERY BAD design. Is it possible to reprogram the remote control so I can press 1 button for the sleep timer settings? If I could get back to the TV, I would. The next TV I buy this will now be a "MUST HAVE". Sorry for the mug shot, but who thought it was a good design? Doug

• Is there a sleep timer hide in my new Apple TV?

  I know that I can put my Apple TV in standby mode or after inactivity it will go on its own; However, I want a timer.  I want the TV and Apple TV power off after 60 minutes so that I don't use data while he slept.  IIf there is a work around for that to happen?

  It is not a setting to turn the Apple TV to sleep while being used to read the content if that's what you mean.

  Recently, I reformatted my HP Pavilion p6580t and installed Windows 7 Ultimate on it. For some reason, the timer does not work. He won't be sleeping the monitor or computer.   If the control panel is set to display small or large icons, go to Power Options.  If the control panel shows the categories, go to hardware and sound and then go to Power Options

  On the left are links "Choose when turn off the display" and "Change when the computer sleeps."

  Select a link and set the options as you want.  You can find parameters of hibernation under 'Change power avancΘs' and then click on the + sign next to "sleep".

  I use the WSN starter kit, I am able to work well on it, but have some problems and you smart guys do look in those.

  1. once I installed 1.2 WSN software module poineer, I am unable to see Remote System tab in the tree of MAX, only my system tab is displayed. Even if I am able to see in my lvproject, to develop and use the application successfully.

  2. the J type thermocouple which came once I set TC0 + and TC - of the WSN - 212 node according to documentations, then in Labview VI, I see in the temperature value 273.56 ambiguous as - values and change them to-244.67 as once that I touch at its end. My node is set by default to the range of temp type J and Celcius, click right property tab.

  3 How long the knots will search gateway once its out of the range of gateway or I power off of the entry door? I experienced his seraches led for about 1 min then sleeps for 1 min at the start and then sleep time increases. I did this for 3-4 hours but after that 7-8 hours I couldn't see any LED flash for the search of the entry door. I needed to push button on the node, and then I start seraching.

• "Sleep mode" for external USB HARD drive with EA6900

  Hi, I have an EA6900 and I want to protect my attached HDD, put it to sleep when no activity. Because I see that is still in rotation.

  I used to have an Apple Time capsule and the autosleep HDD internal when no activity and start over when someone in netwotk try to access.

  I read in the site of the seller of my HARD drive that is not practical to keep the HARD drive running 24/7.

  Are there any HARD disk with autosleep mode? Perhaps?

  Finally, after some research, the best option I found is "Seagate Expansion Desktop".

  HARD drive have a power management integrated that you can configure by setting the mode 'sleep' time of inactivity (15 m, 1 hour, etc.).

  And also, the wake up function works by accessing the HARD drive via SMB.

  I tested and it works fine (so far).
