Slide quiz - question Multiple choice problem

Hello

I am on Captivate 7 on Windows 7.

A small question about the multiple choice question type 7 of Captivate. I would like to if you answer correctly, you jump on a blade of some, and if you answer correctly, you jump to another slide. The part of the correct answer of it works fine, but when I do not answer correctly it doesn't. Indeed, I do jump to the slide, I want to, but when I come back to the question, the options are grayed out and I can't try the question again. If I change the attempts I can retry the question but I do not jump to the other slide before which I want.

So when the contestant answer correctly I would that he accesses a page that says "you have answered correctly, click here to learn more about the subject." The participant then jump to a slide explaining the domain issue and after that, the participant gets to try the question again. This part does not work for me. I jump to the slide, I want to, but can not try the question again or I can retry the issue but not go to slide I want before.

I hope you understand what I mean.

Any ideas?

Kind regards

Patrik

Google for more information about a function later and the Captivate 6 called remediation.  There are some Youtube videos about it online.

Basically you gives access to a slide after failing to a question and then have the default action for a button on the slide to jump you the same question for another free attempt.

  • Multiple choice quiz slides - long delay when you click on the radio button

Using Captivate 5.5 and slides of quiz of multiple choices, when previewing the project, sometimes there is a delay after clicking on a choice. The delay is sometimes so long that the learner may feel like they are not able to select a radio button option. Does anyone know a way to speed up the appearance of the dot that appears when a learner clicks on a radio button?

    Hi Jay,.

I would have asked to see the chronology. In a blog I explains the features of the glide of the Question and think that you can't find the answer here:

    Question Question slides

Short answer: on the timeline, you'll see a suspension point, which is used twice for the slides in question (see the two-step process in blog). Default setting is to have only one break point at 1, 5secs for a default slide duration of 3secs. The actions on the success and after the last attempt (see properties Quiz, accordion Action) are both set to "continue". This means that after the second stage when you expect to proceed immediately to the next slide, the reading head is just to continue until the end of the slide (length by default = 1.5secs). Wondering if you perhaps make longer editing.

What is possible: drag the point of suspension on the Timeline, close to the end of the chronology of the question slide. Or set the action to 'Go ├a next page' instead of continue.

Not sure if it will help because I do not see the timeline.

Captivate 5.5 prohibited for different types of a quiz question slides to work properly?

I have a quiz that includes multiple choice questions, multiple choice with several answers, sequencing, and short answer questions. I was told in an online conversation that I had to use a default template to Captivate with a type of question only for captivate slide works correctly. The Adobe representative remotely considering my record, and discovered that the quiz button is not connected to any action, even if I created it a slide of questionnaire.

Leah: Please choose the option, the infinite attempts

David Lee: Yes, I had endless attempts checked. It still does not work.

Léa : Each question must have infinite attempts

David Lee: Yes, I welcomed the infinite attempts in quiz preferences, as well as with respect to each question. This particular slide is a question multiple choice with multiple correct answers. The infinite button is checked. The slide informs the user to try again, but the back and the clear button do not work, the termination of the project and the user did not click the new button.

Léa : Tiffany is a Captivate model?

David Lee: No, I did this. The other tab you see is called ClarkTemplate, but this isn't a model of captivate. I called model as is the format for the entire project.

Léa : Unfortunately there is no action not implemented responses to check and also that is not a default captivate quiz, I can't support this.

David Lee: Why is there no action on response to tick? It's a quiz slide

Leah: The model of clark is not a default template of Captivate.

David Lee: I'm supposed to use a default template of captivate?

Leah: Yes if you want to

Friendly format for this question slide!  Very cool.

One thing I want to suggest you check if you meet problems with question slides, but you have not accidentally deleted default captions that are on the slide when Captivate adds to your quiz.  For example if you have deleted or replaced the title of the question (the one that tells you that it is a true/false or multiple choice) or legends question text (the one that allows you to enter the question to which the user is supposed to reply), then you can expect to have strange problems arise.

Usually, I suggest to users that they're trying to click the little eye icon on the timeline for the quiz question so that it hides all the objects on the slide.  This icon SHOULD NOT overshadow the default Captivate captions or buttons.  He must hide captions or the items that you added to the slide when it was inserted.  If you click on this icon and you see the title of the issue or question text captions disappear, then you are snookered and need to rebuild this quiz with a new question.  You can not re - insert these specialized legends once you've deleted.  They come with question slides.  Most users of Captivate are blissfully unaware that these legends of importance both for the proper functioning of the quiz.

One last thing: some of your symptoms suggest that you have the Quiz settings > required options set too tight.  Make sure that the drop is set to optional for the highest degree of flexibility.

  • Partial multiple-choice Questions with random pool

    Hi, I am using Cp9.

I have a Quiz with multiple-choice using partial credit and it works fine. But if I put these questions into a pool and use random Question slides to assign issues, partial partition option is no longer available.

Thus, questions are always fully marked. Does partial rating with random questions in a pool?

    Thank you.

Yep, according to Captivate manual, "unable to set partial scores for choice questions multiple pools in question.»

    What a pity.

  • Can I add subtitles to my multiple choice question in Captivate?

I have a question multiple choice quiz that plays a sound file when the user selects the correct answer. Because the audio file is defined using a ' success' action, it is not placed on the timeline. Is there a way to add captioning in audio file even when it does not exist in the timeline?

    Screen Shot 2014-12-15 at 11.15.35 AM.png

Audio slide can easily turn into CC CC should be synchronized with the audio, and this is not possible in this case since you have no idea "when" the user will submit the answer. Way to go is to create a container of text (legend or form) with the text that you want to appear as CC) and use a tip (or shared if you're on CP7/8) who will play not only audio but also displays the text container.

  • Advanced answer Options for multiple choice with multiple answers questions

Is there a work around to provide feedback to questions multiple choice with multiple responses?

For example, I am preparing a question with four ansers, B and D are correct. If users chooses only B, then the feedback will be "B is OK, but there is a right answer."

    Hello

Burst in to give you a link to a post Articles with some articles that I have published on the creation of custom questions. If you do not have to report to an LMS, which will be the way to go to be in total control. You will find perhaps inspiration here:

I find also included widgets very useful for creating custom question slides. Here is another link:

  • Adding more than four levels of failure in a multiple choice quiz (5 Cp)

    Hi-

I am currently using Captivate 5. In a quiz of multiple choice with five possible answers and only one good answer, I am only able to select up to three levels of failure. This means that if the student is wrong four times (and selects each of the four incorrect answers before finally choosing the right pair), he or she will not be served a failure with the fourth wrong answer message. Is there a remedy for this situation?

I would like to know if I was unclear, or if you could use more information.

    Thank you!

Several slides question and answer do not have the option of advanced responses.  Yet true/false questions do not have it.  It's only for the Multiple choice questions.

You can save a feature request for this.  Every vote helps little.

  • Multiple choice questions: "Advanced response Option" went when changing multiple response

    Hello

I have a multiple choice question and each answer has a check box to enable the option Advanced answer.

I have another question multiple choice and the advanced answer option is not there--not that gray... is simply not there. The only difference I see between these issues is that one of them is to have several correct answers (2 of 4 correct) while the first MCQ has only one correct answer on 4.

Any ideas why this is missing?

Advanced response option is available for only one correct answer. Only one

custom question slide can give you that control.

  • Taking the multiple-choice question

    Hello

I wish I had a standard multiple choice question. However, when I select the type 'class', the learner is not able to return to the issue later and change the answer and submit again.

I need to be more "free-play" rather than a locked assessment.

I tried the version of 'Investigation' of the questions multiple choice. However, he deletes comments "correct" and "incorrect."  He proposes that the popup 'incomplete '.

Is anyway to have the choice multiple type "graduate" (including the "correct" and "incorrect" reactions after hitting Submit), but allow to the learner to go back and redo the answer and resubmit?

    Thank you!

In a Captivate quiz, you authorize several attempts at the quiz question level as well as at the level of the quiz.  However, Captivate designers felt that if your username you have the correct question while they wouldn't need to do it again. So the underlying concept behind several attempts is really that they are several UNSUCCESSFUL attempts.  Ditto for the level of trivia.  You can define several attempts to quiz, giving you the opportunity to have a Retake Quiz button on the results page of the Quiz that erases all the scores and directs the user to the first object scored in the project.  However, if your user passes the test, this button does not appear.

If you want more flexibility, you will probably have to create your own quiz questions using interactive objects such as large areas of click, Smart forms, buttons and text entry boxes.  Then you can pretty much make it work as you want.

  • Multiple Choice Quiz Score

    Hi all

This is my first post here, so apologies if I break the unwritten rules, or say something ridiculous, please bare with me.

So, I created a quiz of multiple choice in my multimedia project using Flash CS5 and wanted to know how (or if) I can integrate a scoring system for the existing quiz.

    I created the quiz using the timeline and layers. For each question, there are three layers;

Layer 1 - Question w / four possible answers (only one is correct)

    Layer 2 - correct answer

    Layer 3 - incorrect answer

I use buttons to navigate through the timeline.

What I want to achieve is, at the end of the quiz, a score to generate based on the questions they got right.

I hope I've included everything you need.

Thanks for reading and possible assistance.

Create an action layer that extends along the timeline and frame 1 create an outcome variable.  As you go with the quiz, addition/subtraction value to this variable to true or false answers.  Until this layer extends until the variable is available to be changed, that in the end will be equal no matter what either believe it has accrued.

  • Creating an ebook with multiple choice questions

    Hello guys,.

I am interested in creating an ebook pdf with the following characteristics.

    (1) it is divided into chapters and each chapter ends with a series of questions multiple choice (one answer)

    2) there are 3 'events' again in the form of multiple choice.

What I want is, who bed the book should be able to check/radio click on the right answer. I mean that if there are 10 questions, the user should be able to click on the ten answers and then, ultimately, click a button to check the score.

If the above process is very difficult to implement, at least, it should be able to verify the answers to the question immediately (as if he chooses a wrong question, he should get a red mark or something)

Can I do this with a software such as Acrobat or Indesign?

    Thank you

Yes, you can do this by creating form fields in Acrobat after you create the ebook in PDF format. The latest version of InDesign allows you to add fields that become form fields when the document is exported as an interactive PDF. For scoring, you will probably need to use JavaScript, but it will probably not too complicated. People in the Acrobat JavaScript here forum can help you with this part. If you need assistance with the part of forms, see the Acrobat help doc or ask in the forum forms Acrobat here.

  • Quiz questions mixed with Drag & Drops - Quiz review issue

    Hello

Is there a way to show the right answers for a drag and drop exercise if the learner chooses wrong?  My problem is that I have an evaluation with different types of questions (Multiple, Matching and Drag & Drop choice questions).  When the test ends and the click of the learner "Review Quiz", they can view their errors on Multiple choice and matching questions but not answers for fiscal drag-and - d├⌐poser.

I tried to add a failure slide so that when the learner chooses bad, they jump to a slide of failure which shows the good answers/layout for drag / move.  The problem I have is once that the learner reviews the results of question Multiple choice and matching, there is no next button on the last slide of the question, if the review stops right in the middle.

I was hoping there is a way to let the learner to make two attempts to the drag / move, and once the learner has used all attempts and is always incorrect, the learner can click a button to auto-submit to see the D & D response.

I use 8 Captivate and my ratings are based on the web so I'm not using an LMS System.

    Thank you

    Jeff

Interaction in D & D, even if configured as a question slide, has still not all of the features of the normal question slides. If I find a solution to your problem, will post as soon as POSSIBLE.

  • Quiz questions answered not considered

    Hello

I created a quiz of multiple choice with a few questions, but as I have preview (in a browser and in the section overview of the Cp project), or publish and read (same site), the answers I get are not considered, every time I get the message "You did not answer this question completely" when I go through the quiz after the score. The right question is properly selected on each slide, when I click on the circle to the left of the right question.

  • Quiz with multiple responses

Hello. I am a relatively new user to Captivate and am trying to create a quiz. I want to have questions which may have five or more possible choices (multiple choice), but two or more are correct.

    For example,.

The first three letters of the alphabet are:

    1A

    2B.

    3 C

    4 D.

    5 E

In order to get the right answer, the user must check the first three.

I do not see this type of question format in pre-packaged ones that come with the software. Is there a way to do this?

    Thank you.
    Doug

    Hello and welcome,

It is a Question multiple choice with multiple responses, is available. You can even turn on partial credit and use the sentence.
