Slow connection wired Internet in Bootcamp?

So I've implemented (undeer 10.11.5) a bootcamp partition on my Mac Pro 5.1 on the first disc (Bay 1). Installed win7/64. Got all of the updates from m$ and installed components of bootcamp. Everything works well, even went and got a benchmarking app game, and he said that the game ran around 90 fps... Yes, I have a GTX 980 in the machine!

However, the speed of Internet connection in win7 seems to be more like a modem as my posterity of 200 MB/s, I get on the side of Mac (just tested, 205 MB/s down). Last night it took about half an hour for d/l a 110 MB file under win7.

What can I do, what can I watch? I tried to do some research on Google, but most of the stuff was back in 2013/13 time.

If the mac runs at normal speeds and the "PC" part is not that you look at whats running on the PC

The reality is it is a question of windows, not a mac, but I'll try to give you some things to consider:

Other devices on your network can consume bandwidth, remove them to test. Someone in the room nearby, watching a movie in HD or in a spiral of youtube on the iPad is eating bandwidth on your network, any traffic must be ruled out removing it from the pool of available bandwidth.

You have AV? You have more than one AV? You have an AV free spam to add and your network bandwidth and CPU hog? Obsolete AV? Outdated defs for your AV? Have you tried to turn off the AV to test? Do you have firewall? You have a 3rd party firewall, utilities, the network

utility, sniffing packets, etc.? Yet once, expired, free or busy in other apps can eat bandwidth.

you have restarted your router? have you plugged your 'PC' directly into the modem and tried a direct connection (you must restart the modem, the machine when you do this)

This happens with a specific site, you can ping the site you can traceroute the site? It hangs? What is a busy site? Try DL'ing StarCraft2 updates when they come out, and a 200 MB file can become a deal on the day the day.

Compare the Mac and Windows starts using a web based utility of network (for example http://www.speedtest.org/) and see the results.

until you M$, that the system without 3rd party stuff you can not say for sure, it's windows only.

Edit: this forum is very foolishly formatting my text for me after I post and I have no control over it in safari. Win (read: FAIL) Apple!

  • WRT54G2 slows down the internet connection

    Hello.

Somehow, my WRT54G2 router slows down my internet connection. My PC is connected by cable and I cannot watch youtube videos and gave to wait fo 20 seconds for gmail to load up. If I connect the PC to the modem directly then everything works fine. Reset to the default router configuration solves the problem for a few weeks, but this solution is quite annoying. Is there another way to solve this problem once and for all?

    Thnx.

In the latest version of firmware notes, it is written:

-updated with the patch to solve the problems of ping

I'll try to update my routers firmware now, if this will fix my problem, I probably won't respond to this thread more.

  • Whenever I restart Windows 7, I have to turn off and then turn on my network connection get Windows 7 to recognize my wired Internet connection. What is going on?

I installed Windows 7 Pro on a system newly built using a motherboard Gigabyte Z77x-UD5H, Intel I7 - 3770 K CPU and 32 GB DRAM3, on a SSD OCZ Vertex 3. Everything went well. It is now about three days, since I installed the operating system. I've been adding on software and other general photo editing programs. The Internet would still work. NOW all of a sudden I lost my Internet connection.  Whenever I restart Windows 7, I have to turn off and then turn on my network connection get Windows 7 to recognize my wired Internet connection. • Cannot connect to internet - network ok, party malfunction possible 3rd malware?

    Hey there

I recently encountered a problem with my macbook pro.

Failed to connect to internet through safari or other applications. Safari said overload interrupted server connection server, possible. I ' v tried on several accounts, the program activity for network shows packets are received and sent although very little. Bootcamp on my internet is fine. Ansbody could help me find the caue and remove it?

I think that it is possible that I accidentally downloaded something while before surfing. Or it could be a 3rd party app I installed and then has not removed correctly (Yes Yes I know I shouldn't)

    This just ruined my day.

    I backed everything up. «But I'd rather not type ' ' sudo rm - rf / "»

After a few hours of google searching I found that a possible reason for this error could be my proxy settings or that an add it has tampered with them. I went and checked, and indeed, they were put in manual configuration of the proxy (wrongly obviously) I the switched back to automatic proxy detection. You can find these settings in safar-> settings-> Options->-> change proxy settings uncheck all the boxes and only check the proxy automatic detection

This should change the setting for most of the applications using the internet, only in Firefox, you can adjust these settings aswell (essentially the same thing in safari)

  • Sometimes, A6600F does not connect to internet

I am running Vista home Premium 64-bit. Sometimes the cursor circle turns, and I can't connect to internet unless I restart the computer.

It seems that the computer working on something, how I see which program is causing the cursor to rotate? Please explain in simple terms.

    Thank you

    Tfinder96

The rotation cursor indicates that the computer is busy and the mouse cannot be used at this time.

This solution isn't simple, but it's what I do when I look at some software programs that are causing a system to slow down:

Press on and hold down the CTRL + SHIFT + ESC (in that order), then release.

    A Task Manager window opens.

Click the applications tab and you will see all the software programs that are open.

Stop on the right is a status"" column.

If anything is "not responding", then the software that has the problem.

If you want to delve deeper, you can click the process tab.

The process tab lists all the types of "tasks" that are running. Tasks are also software, but they are at a lower level than Software Applications - in other words, there may be 5 tasks that make up an application.

The process selected, tab click CPU word at the top of the list twice - up to something other that a zero is listed at the top of the CPU column. It sorts all tasks in the amount of work they do. The more, the more this task is slowing down the system.

It can be difficult to understand which tasks are associated with an application. But usually the first characters identify what software is owned with... for example, tasks that begin with IE are related to Internet Explorer, WU are usually Windows Update, taskmgr = tsk Manager (window that comes to open).

After the initial Setup, if I go to advanced configuration and trying to modify the wireless router drops it's internet connection (looks like it does not acquire DHCP) and is incapable of is re - connect until I have reset to the default values and use the CD again.

I confirmed that change the SSID or password it breaks, but I don't know about the other parameters.

The firmware update seemed to kill it, also, but at that point, I gave up and am about to put the thing in the trash. My router linksys 15 years ago, works very well and doesn't have this problem.

Did you ever reinstalled your OS from Vista running on your system?  If you have a Windows Vista OEM preinstalled on your system and you have an external hard drive, it wouldn't hurt to go back to factory settings and transfer your data on.  You would eliminate several possible culprits in your system running slow.

I have a Dell Studio 1555 with windows vista, I recently did a clean install on him, that he had several errors saying THAT BOOTMGR was missing, which was apparently defeated and is therefore no longer and issue, however, I am currently trying to install CD player and more to install correctly, except for a few wireless readers. From that it does connect to the moderm via radio, not it connect to internet via ethernet cables. It's also extremely and unusually slow, with errors continious for several areas. After you install the operating system, have you installed the chipset drivers and the utility of the portable system? If this is not the case, the rest of the drivers will not install. How to download and install drivers in the correct order

Start with the utility of the portable system and the chipset drivers and install from there.

Alternatively, you can try to restore your Computer´s factory settings software
