Slow loading of web pages

Web pages are about 60 to 120 seconds to load. I use Firefox 18, Windows XP. I tried to reset Firefox and from all modules and extensions disabled. (safe mode) No difference. I don't have the problem with Chrome or IE, isn't the connection. Thanks for the suggestions found currently on the support site. I've exhausted the.

Thank you, cor - el, to put me on the right track. It turned out to be a proxy setting. Everything brightened when I changed to "No proxy." The lead was in the article "server not found" you talked about me, even though I rarely had an error message "cannot find server" itself.

  • Mac will not load some web pages but works in safe mode

    Hello

    I am trying to solve the following problem...

    MacBook Pro with 10.11.3 will not load some web pages (booking.com people.com are just a few). Browser will not make a difference.

    Looked around the discussions and tried a few remedies but without success. for example, change the dns data, site reset or 8.8.8.8.8 create a new user and I have tried several different networks.

    All the site will load in safe mode.

    Thank you guys!

    If they load in Safe Mode, then it is a third-party plug-in or software blocking sites while not in Safe Mode.

    Do you have the third-party antivirus or firewall? Do you have any unknown third party plugins or extensions?

    Open the Finder, click go > go to folder, copy and paste the following and click on Go

    ~/Library/Internet plug-Ins

    This is where your plug-in user. By default, this folder must be completely empty, so anything here has been added either by you or with 3rd party software that has been installed. You can move anything in this folder on the desktop and then try with your sites. If this works, your choice in their folder one by one until it doesn't. Remove the problem and it redownload only if you really need.

  • Extremely slow to open Web pages.

    My PC Dell 2 years contains Microsoft Windows XP Home Service Pack 2, with a processor Intel Pentium 4 3 GHZ processor and 504 MB of RAM; and I installed Norton Internet Security 2010.
    In the months it has become increasingly slow to open web pages, and in particular one I opened after the connection. This page now takes about 2 minutes to open, and then another 30 seconds before the download links and I have my slider control.
    I delete my files and cookies every day and I clean the disk and defrag every week, but nothing I try will speed up performance.
    A couple of days, I ran 2 scans of Registry Cleaner programs, and both indicated that I had literally thousands of flaws, including registry entries. Residual unwanted files; Elements of privacy; Bad Active X; and not optimized Performance characteristics.
    I considered buying one of the registry cleaners, but did a little research and found that they could cause even more problems that I currently have.
    I am somewhat a novice in the computer game, and I hope a kind person might explain in layman's language what is wrong and how I could fix it (easily).
    A big thank you to you all.

    Hi Malkeleah:
    My deepest apologies for not responding to your more sooner - my wife and I went away for 10 days just after your reply and when we arrived home I found myself with a virus, but I don't think I caught the computer!
    Both myself and this machine of circuits, wires and chips (or other) are now back to normal, and as promised, I'll give you a walk through of what has past. (will probably not be in the right order, but you'll get the gist of it, I'm sure). Son of my co-worker was the computer expert who got everything running.
    Basically, what he was doing was: remove all unnecessary programs that were run in the background. uninstall Norton 2010 SS and replace it with McAfee Security Suite (linked to the BT Net Protect Plus); Remove my 504 MB of RAM and replace it with 1.24 GB of RAM; back up everything I had in my computer on a flash drive. delete a lot of unnecessary programs from Windows; close the whole 'thing'; and restart using the 2 CD from Dell. There are other things that I'm sure he did, but I just don't remember.
    Thus, in a Word, my friend, this little baby now works as a Cray computer (starting & closing and opening web pages, all now faster than a bullet speeding - well, to me anyway).
    Malkeleah, as I said, the sequence, I gave you is probably all out of sync, and I realize that you're not a fan of McAfee, but my young friend knew a lot more than me and Philadelphia lawyer I was talking, and everything that has happened wonderfully since its development.
    Thanks a lot for your help. My apologies again for not having affect earlier; and if I ever need your help once again, I know how to get in touch.
    Sláinte!

  • 12 Firefox became the slowest browser for the loading of web pages. Is there a solution?

    I've been using Firefox as my default browser for years. However, beginning with FF11 and continues with FF12, it became so slow to load web pages that it has become practically unusable. IE, Opera, and Chrome are all must faster. If someone knows a solution, I'd love to hear about it.

    I live in rural Texas and it is true that my ISP is not the fastest 'high speed' in the world - 1, 5 - 2.0mbps, but other browsers can handle this OK. No Firefox.

    I tried to disable ALL add and extensions. I got FF up to bare bones - without tab, no whistles or bells - and yet it's very slow. I've already replaced my router - no help. I tried to empty the memory cache, settings, same run the «Speed Up My Firefox» software Nothing seems to help.

    It is clearly a problem of Firefox. I'd like to go back to Firefox, but I don't have the patience to wait while he takes his own load time of web pages.

    Any ideas?

    Tom

    I edited this post to remove some questionable information and keep only what I know works for me.

    The setting network.http.keep - alive false seems to provide the greatest improvement, but I think that setting network.http... Max-connections to 64 maybe helped a little in my case, since I have a slow connection 'broadband '.

    I also reinstalled FF12 with these changes, and the problem seems to be resolved.

    For now, this seems to have solved my problems. If things start going downhill, I will return.

    Thank you all for all the help and suggestions.

  • New installation of windows 10 over windows 7, cannot load any web page, all the patches to Firefox?

    I find some information about the SSL problems and that you have copied certificates internet options, but that still does not solve the problem. Firewall is turned off, while trying to solve the problem. Microsoft edge is able to get on the web pages that I have also tried with Firefox. Loading Firefox, it seems that his will display the homepage for a micro second then displays only a blank page, no error message any. Could not include any troubleshooting info from Firefox since then I can not to show anything. Any other ideas?

    After a complete reset of the TCP stack, Firefox has been completely works again.

    In short, I ran fallow on the start menu: cmd (ctrl + shift + enter) to run it as admin, then each of these command lines, if after you run the commands, the system asks to be restarted to complete, do.

    ipconfig/flushdns
    ipconfig/registerdns
    ipconfig/release
    ipconfig / renew
    NETSH winsock reset catalog
    NETSH int ipv4 reset reset.log
    NETSH int ipv6 reset reset.log

    Thanks for your help jscher2000.

  • I can't load any web pages (500 Internal Server Error)

    I can't currently load web pages when using Firefox. I get a "500 Internal Server Error" standard page on each site. I tried with IE and there is no problem in loading pages.

    I tried to create a new profile, uninstalling and reinstalling, put to upgrade to Firefox 4 (used previously 3) and uninstalling and wiping all profile information, but nothing has worked.

    The problem began when a video player in Flash has crashed (channel4.com). Windows has been completely insensitive and I couldn't exit the full screen video. I tried pressing ESC, ctrl + ESC, ctrl + alt + delete etc but nothing worked and I had to hold the power button on the tower for 4 seconds to turn it off. When I started upward again once I was introduced to the screen when Windows fails to load normally and I chose the "start Windows normally", that had started Windows successfully. Since then I been unabe to view web pages in Fireox, I always get the 500 Internal Server Error page.

    It is a strange and I'm out of ideas, any help would be appreciated because I really want to go back to using Firefox!

    Thank you

    What security (firewall) software do you have?

    One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

    Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container.

If I turn off my wifi then return (on the macbook), the page will load temporarily. On the other hand, Firefox does not have this problem and loads web pages normally. Possible reasons or solutions?

    I recently installed a network of a company of friends. They have a 8 computers on their network. Everything starts fine in the morning when they turn on all computers and continues for a few hours. After that, they can open their home pages (each computer has a differnet one) but when you try to view another web page, it can take up to 10 minutes, or never at all load. • How to load a web page with the Web page class

    Hello world

    I try my app to display the title and favico starting from a given url without showing the content of the Web page itself using the class bb::cascades:WebPage, but after the constructor method and setUrl, apparently not start the loading content and methods title() both icon give anything (or loading())

    Any idea on how to load the webpage using this class?

    void handleInvoke (const bb::system:InvokeRequest & request) {}

    Web page * bookmark = new WebPage();

    Bookmark-> setUrl (request.uri ());

    root->findChild ('message')-> setProperty ('text', QString (bookmark-> title()));

    }

    I have use the class Web page, but the documentation, it seems you should subscribe to the loadingChanged signal and wait for the download to complete. The download can begin asynchronously so loading() might return false immediately after the definition of the URL.

  • Get an error loading a Web page in the Panel with require

    Hello

    I'm trying to load a remote Web page in the control panel. I followed the example here: samples/Trello to master · Adobe-CEP/Samples · GitHub

    I also added the lines here to make sure that versions require node / module do not interfere with my requireJS I loading: CEP 6 HTML Extension Cookbook for 2015 CC · Adobe-CEP/CEP-resources Wiki · GitHub

    However, this is the error that I see, that require resources that he always uses a function node according to me: requireError.js

    In fact, I realized what I was doing wrong, what was obvious after the fact. The problem is that if I reload the page, of course my redefine require it and functions of the module will be lost. I had to add the node require redefinitions on the page that was being loaded.

    Make a check of malware with several malware scanning of programs on the Windows computer.
    Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
    All of these programs have free versions.

    Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

    Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.
