Small white square on the left tab

As you can see in this capture screen http://img543.imageshack.us/i/firefoxo.jpg/ I see a small white square on the right on the left tab and I don't know where it comes from.

You use the FoxTab add-on? If so, disable it. I had the same small white square in the upper right corner of Firefox when I updated to version 4.0 beta, so I disabled my modules one by one to see that it was originally and it turned to be FoxTab. It does not jive well with Firefox 4.0.

Try using a regular background with no photo and see if the problem goes away.  There may be a problem with the use of the images on the desktop and I want to exclude.

Try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

Start in safe mode with network and see if the problem is here.  A result allows us to narrow down the search for the cause.

You can get in trouble with your device drivers.  Go to Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you should get updates for your video card and your monitor at least and all the others you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

If the above does not work, there may be a hardware problem with your video card or your monitor (or maybe something else that these two are the most likely suspects) - but let's cross that bridge if we come to it.

I hope this helps. Let me know (and don't forget to tell me what happened when you tried the above in your next reply).

    Good luck!

I use PS CC on an old Mac Pro Tower of 9 months. I am getting sporadically the white squares on the screen through images about 100 MB. They disappear when I Zoom in or out, but it is becoming more and more embarrassing. I use totally RAD Plugin and Plugin DXO.

  • Why my bookmarks for FaceBook opens in a small square on the left side of my screen?

When I click on 'FaceBook' bookmarks on my toolbar, it opens in a square, about 4 inches in width, the length goes all the way to the bottom of the screen. I tried opening other bookmarks, facebook is the only one who does this. Confusing. Thank you to

This place or on the left is called the sidebar. For example, if you press Ctrl + h, and then the story should open it, Ctrl + b should open the bookmarks here.

But why Facebook opens here? Each bookmark has the option to open in the sidebar. If you are using a button on a Web site to create a bookmark, generally enabled. Here's how you can turn it off:

Right-click on the bookmark > properties

Down the small panel that opens, uncheck "load this bookmark in the sidebar".

    Success?

Start > run > msconfig [Enter]

This will open the System Configuration utility. Look under the Startup tab and find the likely culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Just check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".

Important - do not use the System Configuration utility to stop the process. Use rather Start > Run > services.msc [Enter] and stop all services unless you really, really know what you're doing.

  • Small white ">" symbol on the Retina display

I have a very small white format > who won't go away. It is not visible when the darks are exposed in a specific area, but when the area is light colors or white background, he is very sensitive. I have restarted, updated, etc., but still it remains. Anyone know what this could be? How can I solve this problem?

You have unfortunately experienced a feature called "Burnin'".   That's why screensavers and Energy Savers make a lot of sense.    This can happen if the LCD display remains static for a long period of time with the same thing on the screen.  Now sometimes they go far, sometimes they are simply a set of crystals that are sleeping, but sometimes you can't remedy at all.   You can bring it home if it really bothers you.  Also not long as there no accidental evidence of physical abuse, you may even be able to get to the title of the repair under warranty.    But since we are not Apple here, is anyone's guess whether you will get.

  • Why are they not the white space to the left when you use force part agricultural framework?

I posted yesterday because I thought that the stain has been broken in the last creative cloud of LR. It still works, but seems to have a limitation that seems intuitive.

I had an image that I used lenses correction/basic/full. It works well enough to give a full display of an image captured from an angle. There is a small spot near the edge of the frame that is left blank. I assumed spotting would allow me to fill this by cloning a neighbouring area, an operation that could be played in Photoshop, (although I have not used the PS in awhile).

It doesn't work in LR, implying that the brightness of the White is not considered part of the rectangular frame. Why not? Don't I have that right, or am I missing something?

If the design intent, it seems badly thought-out.

If you have created a panorama or HDR image, and there is a space, then the image is more rectangular. It is not possible to create pixels in the empty space in Lightroom. These images were filling the white space is essential, that's what is for Photoshop in this instance. Is perhaps not as elegant as you would expect, but that's the way it works with the non-destructive editing.

  • Small white spots on the screen (no pixels dead) of RMB

This week, when I opened my MacBook on the screen, I saw on the white spots screen 12 ". At first, I thought maybe would it be a beat on the screen but a quick wipe down and a thorough inspection of different angles confirmed that it was something else. I closed and turned back RMB. The small bright white spots were persistent, although only perceptible in the middle of a dark background, or when the Sun is reflected on the screen.

Everyone has the same problem or knows what is the best solution for this problem? I don't have a case at Apple yet, because I am in doubt if Apple repair this under warranty on the other I need to get in touch with my insurance company.

It reminds me of all the problems with the Retina on the MacBook Pro screens (you can search "Staingate" in Google). If the MacBook is under warranty, you must make a backup of your data and take it to an Apple Store or dealer, so that you can get your MacBook repaired.

Since my 1st question, I have followed your instructions, my computer works so well and it turns faster as it did when I 1st got it.  In any case, it's Saturday & I just got home and turned away and when I went on the start menu, I noticed this small black square in the menu with the words 'Command Prompt' next to the square. I clicked it and it opens as a small black w/white square letters coming from Microsoft Corp. All rights reserved. 2006 and the next line of a c:\Users\user>_ and the cursor blinking. Should I just leave that on the menu in case I have it use?

It of your choice, will not make a difference anyway.  Windows stores most often/most recently used commands and puts them under the ORB start so that they are just a click away.  It is an element of convenience only, and you can delete items here by right-clicking on them and selecting "remove from this list.  This does not remove the program, just deletes the shortcut to the frequently used list.

  • How to remove the white bar on the side photo 4 X 6

I am trying to print photos of 4 X 6 on one of my HP printers. One is an all-in-one 4215 printer, and the other is a 7550 photosmart printer. I used a "professional" photo paper that did not have the "tab" on the side. When I printed the first photo, he came out with a white stripe (about 1/2 inch wide) on the end of the shooting. I went into the properties of the 4215 all-in-one printing, but there is no option for a 4 X 6 borderless without tab. Then I hung the 7550 and entered its properties and selected 4 X 6 borderless (assuming it was without tab). It is always printed with the stripe on the side. I then bought paper photo HP WITH the tab. When I printed on it, not only he has left the area of the empty tab, but he also added the white strip in addition to him. What I am doing wrong? Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The only solution I provided was to use paper from 4 by 6 with tab, then select "4 X 6 w / tab. Printed images fine, leaving the white stripe on the detachable tab. Now all I have to do is find a use for the photo without tab paper that I. My printers are older models. Maybe the newer models are more likely than mine.
