  I'm considering buying a BB Tour 9630.  I use MS Outlook contacts Notes field.  Some of my notes by contact are more than 10,000 characters long.  My Palm Treo 700 p allows me to view/edit these long notes.  Can the field notes Manager contact BB manage this number of characters, or it is truncated to a shorter length?  I am a small operation, only use is not an Exchange Server.  Also, does have another software of device than what comes with the BB to sync with my PC local Outlook PST?

  The problem is solved itself.  Nothing I did yesterday the issue resloved. I put the phone into the charger and went to bed. This morning, the consulted Facebook browser without problem.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Storm 2 (9550) Telus - will not update

  I tried to update to update my Storm 2.

  TELUS said there is a de.32.712 update but when I try to update it starts and then tells me to check my internet connection and try again.  Of course, retry does nothing.

  I tried it on my laptop and I thought that was the problem.

  I moved from Northern Ontario and I now live in Toronto.  WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

  I changed my phone number.

  I now have my desktop hooked up and the same thing is happening with an ethernet connection.   Therefore, it is not the internet.

  I was able to install the latest version of Desktop Manager.

  It starts to back up and then has a problem.   So the next time that I supported first.  When I went to upgrade, he wanted to back up again, but I unchecked it.  He immediately said that I had a problem with the internet connection and try again later.

  I have a dictionary on my blackberry right on the device memory.  Dict. MS to execute.

  I wonder if that's the problem.   I thought it was the laptop mass storage device problem, but now I see that does not work on my desktop also.

  Sorry for the delay in responding.

  As web-based charger does not work, I would suggest doing the following:

  1. go to https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=02A32AD2669E6FE298E607FE7CC0E1A0

  2. download the software of the device for your BlackBerry Storm 9550 5.0.0.712

  3 install the software and tap on finish once he did install.

  4. navigate to the location where Loader.exe is installed. The default location is C:\Program Files\Common Research In Motion\AppLoader.
  5. start Loader.exe. The Application Loader Wizard window opens.
  6. when the Communications Port selection window opens, select a PIN number for one of the BlackBerry smartphones connected to the personal computer. Click Next.
  7. the Application Loader Wizard opens the selection of the Application device. Select any other languages or applications in the selection window, and then click Next.
  8. click on Finish. The BlackBerry smartphone will be improved with the appropriate software.

  War Eagle! -J' had a problem with one of ours and Verizon Customer Support number called * 611. while I was in the face of technical support, the same would work to give you a delivery date on your order.  But the good news is that you will have a more gentle storm, kinder off bugged.  I think that you will be happy that you had the cause of delay, it was not that fun... with all these issues to work around.  But we are hopeful.

  I recently discovered on talkstreamlive.mobi.  I was very happy that now I could take full advantage of the capabilities of storm.  However when I went to site and tried to listen to live streaming radio, it would not load.  Apparently most, if not all the files are WMA files.  What can I do to listen to live streaming radio from this Web site which uses WMA files.

  I also use the fly cast that shows the album and track information and let's you click on a shopping site while continuing to listen to. It is a user-friendly application good storm. I think that is what you are looking for Moodio, which is web-based and allows you to save a list of favorites. A great list of music and types of speech are available. This site is currently my most used book marked Web site. I can't connect occasionally to some stations, but which seems to occur because of the bandwidth or traffic high on the side issues sending and not a problem of the storm. A bonus is that I can log on to their web site from my desktop, connect, and play streaming audio of my saved list of favorites when I'm in my office.   HI all, I have the Blackberry storm and I'm having a lot of problems with it. An im problem is that sometimes the keyboard will not be displayed, and now when I try to play one of the games it shows at halfway.

  Try this:

  On the storm, go to options / advanced options.

  Highlight (do not click on) the game application.

  Press menu, and if the compatibility mode is enabled, select Disable.

  Save the option. Then do a battery pull.

  No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated. Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected.

On Sunday, I connected the phone to my computer, and it was the beginning of my question. I uninstalled the software from my PC. Then I reinstalled the software updated since the BB site. But I still have the same question. I see an icon at the bottom right of my window that says: "Device disconnected", while in the box PIN number it says, 'NONE '. I don't know if the problem is with the USB cable. When it is connected to my phone, the phone is in charging mode.

  Any advice on what to do?

  Most of the time a simple battery pull will correct this problem.

  Try to do a battery pull... Remove the battery with device 'ON' wait 20-30 seconds and replace the battery, wait for the device to restart (reboot may take up to 2 minuets)

  Mine will also do what you explain and a battery pull will clear up right ir.

  Is it normal that my Blackberry Storm restart itself? This doesn't happen all the time, seems like once a month or more, and while it is sheathed. How will I know it's "restart" while it is holstered? Usually, I unholster to control the time, as I did today and it has been restarted. My O.S. is 4.7.0.148. I had this problem before with the previous OS (. 75), not a big deal, but a bit irritating when to call out or something, wait until the reboot is complete. Had "quickpull' installed, but deleted because there may be other problems. Wait until the next OS comes out to stop the random reboots?

  One thing about VZW (and all CDMA carriers, I think) which is known to improve reboot situation is to detach the SIM card. It doesn't help anything, and reboot to mitigate it. I know it from my own experience.

  I have a Blackberry Storm, and every time I try to make sure 'free time' and 'alarms' will not appear in my calendar, it wont let me save.  When I adjust them, then click on SAVE, it does not, and if I change them and try to close the program, it says "Changes Made: save, Discard, cancel."  If I chose to save or cancel, it won't let me out of the Calendar Options, and if I click on ignore, then the changes have not been saved.  Help, please! This becomes INCREDIBLY BORING!

  This work around seems to be the General fix Options - go to Calendar Options.

  The value 'Show free time' to no.

  The value "Show tasks" (lower)

  You may need to leave "Show alarms" yes - I would like to try first for now.

  'Save' should now work on exit and you should no longer see entries free time.

My blackberry storm has recently made a low clicking noise when it is not hit. Also the camera does not work. I can see the image that I am about to take, but when I take a picture all I see is a black screen with random colors forming a line on the left side of the screen so no picture don't can be taken.   Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I just got a blackberry storm last week and tried to download the facebook app.  It downloads, but when I go into the application it extends all over the screen.  It's just a very small box in the middle of the screen.  Are there settings I need to change?  Help, please!  I'm extremely frustrated!

  Just disable the 'compatibility mode ' for facebook.

  Home screen > options > applications

  in the upper right corner, choose "third party". then place the cursor on Facebook and open the menu to turn off "compatibility" mode
