Smartphones blackBerry BB 8800 - inputs double in the calendar

I have a BB 8800 and recently upgraded the operating system to v4.5.0.81 (Platform 2.7.0.78) (version of the Rogers network).  The upgrade seems to have worked successfully.

However, now my calendar shows entries from several sources.  According to personal email accounts I activate, it gives me the following options to choose (I am synchronized wireless to my Notes of the company server, but not synchronize with any one of the email accounts personal):

Desktop

Default device

"Personal e-mail #1.

OR

Desktop

"Personal e-mail #1.

"Personal e-mail #2.

The problem: is that when I "view all calendars", most of my "reminders" of Lotus Notes will appear in duplicate.  I can't understand why this happens, and how to turn it off.

If I select the menu of the calendar, I can choose 'Select Calendar' and then choose 'Office' only and this temporarily solves the problem.  However, it does not persist, and each time that I return to the calendar that I have to do the same.

Is it possible to (a) defined a permanent calendar to show only one of the calendars?  or (b) otherwise can't it display duplicates?

Thank you.

Your calendar, I'll try to do a menu, options, while the General options type 'rset' that needs to reset your calendar from the desktop.  The office is your BES/lotus notes server, the others are personal e-mail accounts that have been set up on your bb. In your blackberry duplicate entries is probably a bit lotus notes issue if the rsete is not "fix. You can also remove desktop sync/cicla/cmime options advanced/service books and see if they would be those you your coporate repush environment, but do not know that they will be repush books service.

The phone also randomly off followed by a solid red led, followed by 2 red blinks. Since this morning, I put a good known in battery. He killed that, in about 15 minutes. It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

Operating system device provided are "released" by specific carriers once that they are certified and trained to their support technicians, but still, you are able to load any carrier the same model by following the instructions below.

See the link below to download it and follow these simple instructions.

Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.

    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." (You might have another Vendor.xml file hiding on your computer.) Open Windows Explorer, and in organizing key (on Windows 7, there are similar tools for Vista and XP) click on 'folder and search options. On the display tab, make sure that your computer is configured to display the hidden files and folders. Once you have done this, look for your drive C:\ "Vendor.xml".)
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

    * Starting with later versions of the OS6, there are now three copies of the SELLER. XML
    C:\Program Files\Fichiers Research In Motion\AppLoader (for 32-bit Windows XP/Vista/7)
    ==========OR============
    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader (for 64-bit Windows Vista/7)
    C:\Documents and Settings\ * name * \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
    C:\Documents and Settings\ * name * \Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
You can also just search of the SELLER. XML. ensure that you choose the ADVANCED SEARCH and include hidden files. It should display the file in three places. Delete all copies that it finds.

  • Smartphones blackBerry (victim of STROKE) to change the user name of BlackBerry ID and do not have a password or email

Hi team, I'm rather desperate in unfortunate circumstances.

My father had a stroke, and we are unable to connexiona his POP3 email and so here's my problem:

We are trying to access his contacts on his BlackBerry ID, we do not know the e-mail address, and we know the answer to his question of "security" which is the family, but the reset password link is sent to the e-mail address that is no longer, we can access without his intervention.

I'm desperate to retrieve the ID and change the email which is her email ID to another.

    Can someone help me please

    Best wishes

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry will honor my warranty if the account owner is not present in the store?

I was 18 at the time of the purchase of my phone, so my father-in-law put the phone in his name at the time. Now I have problems with my blackberry, and he's not around more. So I'll need to take it in me, and I have the box, as well as the charger, cd tools user, the small manual books, my virgin mobile and conditions.

I can't find the reception, but they would be able to look up from my account in order to check that it was purchased less than a year ago? In addition, the debit card used to pay the phone bill is mine and they can check that too if that helps.

Then, the Blackberry will honor my warranty if the account owner is not present in the store?

This ^^ above are true and all, I would say take the phone of your store, Virgin and the BlackBerry in hand, tell them what is wrong, etc., and they should simply check your account to see the unit on your account and probably will not plunge even in need of a reception, etc., as the device IS actually saved on YOUR Virgin mobile account right?

Play dumb, not all volunteers 'too much information', unless specifically asked on a receipt (I doubt you will be). So yes, it's "my father-in-law bought for me as a gift, he's gone now and my BlackBerry does not work. What can you do? »

My new 8330 screen was darkening properly for a few weeks and now stays on all the time. I adjusted the timeout of several parameters and saved the settings before setting off, and nothing works. My battery is reached! Please, is - that someone has had the same problem and solved the mystery? I did a search before posting this.

Hi Mopar and welcome to the forums!

    First Blackberry troubleshooting step:

    • Turning on the device in front of you.
    • Make sure it is not plugged into the Charger AC/DC or USB charger.
    • Turn it over and remove the battery, IF the UNIT IS TURNED ON.
    • Pop the battery back in and wait for it to automatically load upward.

See if that helps the situation.

  • Smartphones blackBerry BIS does not mail for the last 1 - 2w?

BlackBerry 9000, Rogers. Mail server is an IMAP server that I run, running cyrus IMAPd.

At least a good year, he pushed email instantly to my BB. My server supports IMAP IDLE, and the BIS connection seemed to take advantage of this. Deliver the e-mail was almost instantaneous, and I've always had the buzzing blackberry at least as fast as the e-mail appeared on my desktop computer.

In the past 1 - 2w, it was push e-mail, he acted in the famous mode 'to interrogate 15 minutes. " Of course, which is nothing near as desirable.

I didn't have any (known) server configuration changes, and my desktop e-mail clients seem to use IDLE happily as always. I checked with a manual session IDLE is still supported by my imap server.

Rogers/RIM change something? Any chance they intend to change it back soon?

On your BlackBerry device, go to:

    1. options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

2 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books:
    Of your handheld: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and sign. Then under help!, select Service books and select send service books.

    Your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
Carriers worldwide - find your operator from the list

    3. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart. This restart, even if you have already done this, is often necessary to install the service books.

If it does not help after one day, remove and re-add your email to the BIS accounts.
