  Can I install BlackBerry desktop on my new computer and just sync with my flashlight or do I make a back-up to my old computer and restore the backup file to my new computer?

  It depends on what everything you want moved. You can google for more information about how to transfer all your Outlook, including mail settings and all of your PIM data.

  If it's just the calendar, tasks and address book data, then if your BB has everything you want on it, then you can install BDS on the new computer and set up a synchronization one-way system your BB to Outlook to transfer everything in the new perspective.   You can't - it is at once, by design. In addition, it is not the best place to put your data... anything beyond name and phone number will be lost.   Unfortunately you can't remove individual events right now. The fastest way to remove events is the 'Month' tab, then tap and hold events in the list and select 'Delete' from the side menu.

  Ok.  Has had another idea.  If you go to the function of "Back up and Restore" BB Desktop Manager, then choose "Advanced", the area on the right, "databases of the device" will show all the stuff on your device.  If you scroll down and select "Calendar" and click 'Clear' it will delete all appointments in your calendar.  You can then re - sync with Outlook.

  I am somewhat a dufus and a few minutes ago has managed to highlight four emails (that I had intended to remove a small group), but managed to click on the "SAVE MESSAGE" by mistake. (Touch screens, bloody!)

  It has a small window saying "BACKUP MESSAGES", and since then, even if later I deleted the four emails, have a permanent icon red STAR on two of my email accounts, which indicates that there is a session of NEW MESSAGES waiting to be read - but are not everything.

  Also - at the top of the screen on the home page of the torch, in the same vein where the SOUNDS and the GLASS GROSSISSANT icon, I constantly for the symbol for 4 EMAILS sitting there, which usually only appears when there are actually four new e-mails waiting to be read. When I actually select the email icon, it only shows nothing - it's because there is NO NEW MESSAGES!

  Open a folder of messages, press the BB menu button and select view folders.  There must be a folder for saved messages available.
