  This error occurs usually when there is an interruption in the software update. As your laptop turns off, it is reasonable to assume that this is what caused this error.

  You need to reinstall the software for this problem. That said, given that your device has the error message, you will need to remove your battery before you start the update.

  Open your BlackBerry browser > press the Menu key > Options > Cache and clear your browser's cache (you can even clear the cookies as well, same place).

  I've never had problems with my BlackBerry... no load delivers, no power issues but yesterday I turned off my curve to remove the SIM card to check my daughter Pearl.  When I replaced my SIM card in my curve and I replaced the battery that has nothing past.  The phone has been loaded before that... about 75%.  I removed the battery again and don't see anything wrong, which is nothing on the connection bars gold and pins gold of the phone are not folded.  No water no damage either.  But, every time I press and hold 'end' nothing happens.  I tried to charge with a wall charger without result.  The phone is about a year, granted, but it is well supported.
