Smartphones blackBerry sync issue... upside down.

Here's what I'm trying to accomplish... is it still possible?

Is it possible to disconnect my pc to internet at all times and always receive emails from my BB?  This way I can use my BB as my primary tool to receive emails on the go; then when I want to view attachments or print, I could link my BB to my pc.

I use Outlook Express.

I'm new on this.  Thank you.

Hello!

Ok... I'll try to add something...

First - clarity... the BB contacts the mail server. The desktop email application (Outlook Express... is there no such thing as a 'Outlook Express' account) speaks on the mail server. But, in this configuration, the BB and the Office communicate with each other. And who will be just fine.

Here's what he can do. If the thing he wants to print is the accessory, it can receive on her BB. Then, on her BB, it can save the attachment of e-mail to a file on her BB. Then, he can tie his BB and move the file to the BB to the PC, where it can then manipulate it at will. He will not be able to move/save/print the e-mail itself, but he will be able to do to the piece attached.

Here are some instructions to the configuration of a BB to a USB on a PC (which is what it should do in order to move the attachment of the BB to the PC file):

  • Smartphones blackBerry sync with Outlook? Help, please!

This had everything set up on my old desktop (Windows XP), but just to move to Windows 7.  Downloaded BB desktop 6.1.0.36 and it recognizes my camera and can see media and pix, but when I go to set up the synchronization, it shows olny ASCII and YAHOO as being available for synchronization of calendar and Contacts...

    How to synchronize Outlook?

Well, I'm not sure of what is "POutlook", but here is my next series of suggestions:

I suggest the following steps (reboot insert a lot of restarting your PC... not only restarts, but at full power down). In addition, it is recommended that you are connected to the PC on an account with full administrator rights. In addition, under Vista/Win7, use the option "Run As Administrator" for everything.

In addition, it was also reported that when your user profile on windows (type "echo %UserProfile%" in command prompt) contains spaces, then the installer will not work. To resolve this issue, log off from your Windows account and sign in using the local administrator account (or any other name of account without spaces) and install office (for all users).

    (1) remove the package to update your device OS of your PC (Add/Remove Programs)

    (2) properly uninstall the RIM desktop software:

    • Some noted that manually to the search and the removal of all registry keys related to Research In Motion, software from Puma, BlackBerry, etc. to be useful... risky to work with the registry, but nevertheless
    • Others have reported the use of a registry cleaning tool to be also useful
    • Still others have reported the use of your original PIM (Outlook, NOTES, etc.) Installation CD, run the "repair" to be helpful in some situations process

    (3) obtain a new download of the RIM Desktop software:

    (4) to download a new copy of your package to your carrier OS device (on your PC):

    (5) install the software on your PC Desktop

Installation of 6) (also on your PC), device OS package

    (7) start the configuration Organizer:

  • How Smartphones blackBerry sync BB contact entries to Outlook contacts?

I own a BB 8700 series and can't the MS Outlook synchronization operation.   We use MS outlook to our office (on the desktop) to the first address email, contacts and calendar organization.  We have a network of small size on a central server.  I have no problem (s) to synchronize the data of my desktop MS outlook for computer BB of pocket.  My question/issue:  I'm on the road and enter a new contact in my pocket computer BB.  I return to the office a sync my BB pocket for my desktop computer (MS outlook).  When the synchronization is complete, the new contact I have previsouly entered my pocket computer BB does not appear in the folder of my desktop MS outlook contacts?  I can't seem to find a way to synchronize data entered into my BB pocket to be sent to my desktop (MS outlook)... specifically the folder "Contacts"?  ID' grateful if anyone can guide me through some steps to solve this problem, I'm going to (if this is even possible?).

  • Error of DM of Smartphones blackBerry sync with laptop computer

I posted this on the forum of the storm, but realize he probably should have gone on this forum, as you'll see below I tried everything to get my laptop to synchronize with the storm, but it blocks every time during the initial synchronization. V5 tried unsuccessfully again last night.

Suggestions... currently a paying for a phone (for three months) which is unusable!

I recently had my Storm repair back only to find out that all my contacts were deleted. I had a problem before the repair is trying to synchronize using the Desktop Manager when it crashed every time when trying to sync. I tried several times to uninstall and reinstall/repair current DM software, also tried to remove the RIM etc but DM files crashes whenever I try to sync. Any ideas? Windows XP with the latest drivers/software.

    and once again...

Sorry to repost this, but it makes me crazy, I have tried everything to try and get my Storm to synchronize with my laptop and Outlook. Tried to reload, repair, uninstall, reinstall, with Norton, without Norton, deleted the registry files, deleted new registry files and anything at all mention Blackberry RIM etc etc been at it now for more than a week!

This phone is completely usless to me since I can't synchronize to retrieve my contacts. I think I have a virus on my laptop but everything else works fine, conducted the audit of the register and the comprehensive analysis of the system several times to see if he had any problem but nothing ever came. The Director of office work and synchronized without problem... I would rather the Chuck this phone far than having to manually re my contacts. I called my provider and they can not help, I really don't want to have all re install my laptop OS just on the off chance that it is perhaps the only thing that could get the DM to work again!

Seriously an iphone and the more stable Mac platform!

    :-(

    Scocha

    scocha,

With respect to the reloading of the software on the laptop, I'm not too sure that any computer laptop is a little different.  In addition, I can't suggest that you do this, but only that it turns out that the issue is not device or Desktop Manager related but more a problem with the laptop.  Have you considered calling the seller of your laptop for some tips or tricks on this?  Have you thought about putting your Outlook information on another computer in the meantime, so you have at least your rear sync?

  • Problems of Smartphones blackBerry sync with outlook, following a back up and restore

It gave me a new BlackBerry "BOLD" device to replace a defective. I did a sync with my outlook, contacts etc. calendar so all the information was up-to-date and then backed up all my data from the original handset. I then successfully restored all of this data to the new remote control.

Since I was not able to properly synchronize my phone with outlook. the blackberry desktop manager no longer link the contacts in outlook with the correct contacts on the handset. It so happens with messages with "resolutions of conflict" where he compares with Emma Smith on the BlackBerry smartphone, contact for example John Smith on outlook - have nothing to do with eachother. Both Outlook and the handset have the same information, but they are more link successfully.

I wondered if it has something to do with how contacts are identified by the Office Manager and if restore information from the new remote control has changed that on the device?

As I have more than 600 contacts, I am very concerned about doing the wrong thing and lose vital information and so far nobody's confidence was able to tell me what to do.

Please can someone help me solve this problem?

    Thank you

    MarijkeV

If you have the data synchronized in Outlook as a backup, you will be ok. You can also use the backup and restore utility to perform another backup of the databases on the device.

If you delete this folder, you will lose any information on the BlackBerry or Outlook. Start with the Desktop Manager closed before deleting this file. After that you remove it, connect the BlackBerry to your computer, then open the Desktop Manager.

From the Desktop Manager 4.3, I think, the icon you would go in to reconfigure the settins would sync | Synchronize

  • Troubled Smartphone blackBerry sync Blackberry Curve 8530 for Outlook

I have a new Blackberry Curve 8530.  When I put in place, I was able to sync my calendar Outlook for the BB but not my contacts.  I was unable to sync my contacts because it says that my BB has been implemented for wireless synchronization.  I tried to follow the instructions for tea off wireless sync, but when I go into options in my contacts there is no wireless synchronization field to change.  What Miss me?

Also, I've updated my operating system, and now I am unable to sync my calendar.  When I try to select data from the organiser at synronize, it wont let me select Calendar because it is said that schedule is not installed (and it won't let me select address book, because he says that it is wireless synchronization).   I reinstalled my BB Desktop software, and I read on another post that gmail can be a problem, so I don't have my gmail account on my BB. Help!

When I open my BB Desktop manager on my computer, I get a message saying "unknown error reported," it's why I reinstalled my Destop software, but I still receive this message after reinstalling.

    Thank you.

It is once again the OP who has now solved its problem.  In case anyone has the same problem, it turns out that you cannot synchronize your bb to a VPN calendar.  So, I managed to change my default calendar for gmail by going to Options and then Advanced Options, and then click default Services - you can select your default calendar and address books here.

Like others on this forum, I lost my keyboard lock when I upgraded, and I am following to the other threads on this issue.

  • Yahoo of Smartphones blackBerry sync?

Have I lost it, or why can't sync Yahoo version 4.3? 4.2 worked flawlessly. The support Web page says that Yahoo PIM is an option of synchronization to 4.3. Thanks for your help!

    Hi jimnickerson

If you don't see the option to choose Yahoo to synchronize with you can try to follow this KB article

This article essentially sets out to save a dll file by following these instructions:

    Close the BlackBerry Desktop Manager

Windows XP: go to start, run and type CMD

Windows Vista - go to start, programs, accessories, click with the right button on command prompt and select run as administrator

In the command line window, type the following:

    CD "\Program Files\Research in Motion\BlackBerry\IS71 Connectors\Yahoo connector"

    regsvr32 DCSXlator.dll

    Try to synchronize again.

If you can choose from Yahoo, but have synchronization problems, please give more details including measures you take to synchronize, you get error messages, etc.

    See you soon!

  • Smartphones blackBerry sync a Blackberry Pearl 8100 to a Sony Ericsson earpiece/Headset Bluetooth wireless

Via Bluetooth, I synced my Blackberry 8100 Pearl for my Sony Ericson Bloothtooth Headset HBH-DS200 stereo.  The devices are connected, but when I play music from the phone, music comes out of the Blackberry speaker rather than the helmet of the Sony Ericsson headset Sony Ericson is A2DP compatible.  Does anyone know if the Pearl 8100 is compatible A2DP and yes there at - it an option to disable this active or disabled on the phone?

I see in the instructions for Blackberry on the 8100 that the "Source Audio" profile is A2DP but how do to this profile source?  From Sony Ericsson's Web site says the Blackbery 8300 is compatible with the headset, but did not mention the Pearl 8100. Thank you.  Miles

The 8100 is only compatible A2DP if you improve its OS to OS 4.5.  Look into the Options > on.  If it says 4.2.x.x, then you need to upgrade.
