SmartView with office 2013

Hi guys,.

Does anyone know when Office 2013 will be compatible with smartview? or if there is a way to get the most recent smartview in collaboration with 2013?

Thank you very much

Russell

I tested it on three machines, and it does not work. I had roolback to Office 2010. So I guess it is better not to install it. (at least until included on support matrix)...
See you soon

    Hi Darshan,

Please keep us updated on the issue. I appreciate your effort and time to resolve the issue. According to the description of the problem, it seems to be a problem specific to the office of 2013. I would recommend posting your query in the Forums Office. Office 2013 is watched by other computing professionals who would be more likely to help you.

    Hope this information is useful.
  • Printer driver crashes when printing with Office 2013/8 64-bit Windows

    Printer: HP Color LaserJet CM1312nfi

Printer driver: V5.1 (to date, downloaded from the HP support Web site) or generic V5.6

    OS: Windows 8 Professional 64-bit

When I try to print an Excel document with Excel 2013 and V5.1 printer driver, the program freezes and must end with the Task Manager. This always occurs with the same document, but not with all the documents. Program also crashes when opening the preview before printing to the same document.

The same document prints fine with V5.6 generic print driver and with the driver supplied with Windows 8.

The same document prints fine with the driver version 5.1 on Windows 7 and Office 2010. The combination of Windows 7/Office 2013 has not been tested. Windows 8/Office 2010 combination has also not been tested.

When I try to print an empty document with the word 2013 and the generic printer V5.6, the program driver crashes and must end with the Task Manager.

My conclusion is that the HP printer drivers have a problem with Windows 8 or office 2013 or a combination of both.

The printer driver supplied with Windows 8 and is installed automatically is useful as a temporary workaround, but it lacks some options, e.g. manual duplex.

Upon request, I am ready to send the Excel document by e-mail for verification of the problem.

For any help or suggestion will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    ULI

It worked!  Thank you very much.

Where others have difficulties to find the offending setting, here's another way to track him down.

    -> control Panel-> devices and printers-> (select printer-> right mouse)-> printer properties-> settings-> tab Installable Options (bottom)-> Printer Status Notification-> change on 'off '.

  • Microsoft Office 2013 AppStack

I am under App 2.7 Volumes and I'm having a problem with Office 2013.  Capture goes very well.  I follow the steps on pages 39 and 40 of app-volumes-27-users - guide.pdf.  The installation of the licenses with KMS... everything looks good.  However, when I have a user, log in and start a desktop app it runs through a setup process.  After that it configures, everything works fine but if the user log out and back in it again anywhere.  Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Yes, there is and I would always updateing models (at least the appstack one) for the creation of new Appstacks.

Keep in mind that appstacks done with older models is nog updated automatically with a new model.

You can update the model by going in the appvolumes handler, to go to--> store Configuration, and then click Download the prepackaged Volumes. This downloads the template to all of the directory that is designated as the default directory. The files are on the server administration Appvolumes.

And normally it should not be necessary to have an accessible volume writable for office 2013. The only thing that makes an accessible volume writable (depending on which model you use) is to keep track of changes made to the system after a user connects to it.

What you saw that a lot is that Office triggers a "frist boot" configuration that can be circumvented by using the GPO in Windows. This should be the way to go because it is not a problem of Appvolumes for example.

Also something to keep in mind. Appstacks do not record the user's settings all in package. So all the info in the folder c:\Users\%ussername% will not be in the appstack!

  • Acrobat XI 11.0.06 Addins do not projection in Office 2013

I installed Acrobat XI Standard 32-bit on a 64-bit Windows 7 with Office 2013 32 bit computer.  Acrobat addins do not appear in the "Options > Addins" in one of the Office applications.

I have installed the latest updates for Acrobat still no luck.

    Repair Microsoft Office and Adobe.

    No luck... Can anyone help?

Yes, that was the question.  The add-in did not appear in the list.

I ended up doing a repair of 2013 Office of the Internet compared to a quick repair.

I had to re-activate Office after but the Addon and ribbon appears in Office

This also solves the problem of emailing from Acrobat.

  • PDF file with embedded files and office 2013

My company just put to upgrade to Office 2013. 'Save as PDF' no longer exists in Word (2013); I have to export to PDF. Now, hyperlinks in Word sport railways complete directory rather than the relative paths, I need. Does anyone have a solution?

Nothing to do with Adobe Reader; You should ask the appropriate instance of the Microsoft.

  • Microsoft Office 2013 is compatible with "Works for Windows.

My new pc is Windows 8.1 Desktop, HP Pavilion 500 series.  My aging XP pc has work for installed Windows I used since 2000 and who has all my files and a very useful database. This has been used for the execution of a small family business and all files are very important. How to install these old files and database on my new Windows 8.1?

I recently installed on this new pc HP Office 2013 Home & Business that I find very complicated compared to Works for Windows, which I understand is no longer available (such a shame because it was a brilliant program!).

In addition, anyone know if there is a dedicated database within 2013 Office Home & Business for the names and addresses and mail merge?  I can't find!

It seems that the XP machine has become a glorified weight and should be removed.  Disk drives fail, problematic USB and no internet access, indeed, it became useless and your knocking you head for anything.  Maybe time to change.

There would be a way to recover your data by converting the external hard drive on a hard drive where you would be able to transfer.  See this:

  • Fusion 5.0.1 update problems with win screen 8 and Office 2013 preview

    Greetings!

I have been running the evaluation version Windows 8 Enterprise 90 of Windows 8 as a host vmware OS (host of Mountain Lion operating system) and discovered serious problems when running Office 2013 preview.   In short, when I used it Word or Excel (did not PowerPoint), the screen is not correctly updated leaving lots of 'black areas '.   I understand the screenshot below (see attachment file) as evidence.  I hope that VMware Fusion staff get this rule since it's a bug blocking for you when you use Office 2013 preview.   Not having is not the last service is usable, it is certainly a serious bug in my opinion.   I can only imagine that maybe the graphics drivers for Windows 8 does not work as expected.

If VMware Fusion staff want more screenshots, I'm more than happy to help.

    See you soon.

  • Office 2013 on Win7 using bootcamp has delay time

I use Win 7 teacher on a piece of Macbook Air 2014 with bootcamp 5 and MS Office 2013. Up to 4 weeks everything works well, and the performance was great. And then I got the delay time:

-Closing remarks is the longest in about 4-5 sec

-editig one Excel cell and switch to another will cost about 4 to 5 sec

    - and so on

Thanks to this performance, it is horrible to work. I have also removed Office and install it again without any result.

Anyone have some advice for me? Is there some patches in which software never cause this?

Or am I alone with this?

    THX in advance

    Frank

Your is no longer in a Mac environment, if this side of "windows" because you're not virtualize, you run Windows as a complete solution for Windows. OS X doesn't play not any part of your experience. Windows as OS X should be updated with patches and update securities, the latter is the only support Windows offers for Version 7, it is out of development and was removed by Microsoft for more than a year. All compatibility fixes should come from Microsoft, see microsoft.com for the availability of these.

Outside the correction and the issues pourraient be caused by:

Disk fragmentation that is common in windows. (However it is not under OS X, don't defrag on Mac, OS updates will do everything if it you better than anything you can buy)

    hard disk-ragmenting https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/help/17126/Windows-7-improve-performance-def

Font management (again, on the side of 'Windows', your OS X fonts do not play in this)

3rd party Windows applications, such as anti-virus and the litany of bloatware inherent with Windows. Windows has a startup mode for troubleshooting.

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/help/17419/Windows-7-Advanced-startup-option s-safe-mode

and possibly disk goes wrong, which can be controlled using this method

  • How to open Docx and doc. attachments with Word 2013 from Firefox

I just got a new laptop and installed Office 2013. However, when I try to open an attachment to my e-mail or a document on the web, the box comes up that says: ' Firefox do with this file? I can save the file fine, but when I click on 'Browse' next door 'open with', Microsoft Word is not found. It would be nice to get the document automatically opens in Word. I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question, but any help would be appreciated.

Which application opens the file if you double-click such a file in Windows Explorer?

If the default program is the word Firefox should offer this application by default.

In the case of an attachment then it would be unlikely that the file is to send with the right MIME type for a doc or docx file, but perhaps also a generic type as "application/octet-stream" that will make Firefox want to save the file.
