SMS, DatagramConnection and Sprint

Why DatagramConnection do not work on the network Sprint (CDMA) for incoming SMS?

This is the method works on GSM device, but does not work on Sprint (CDMA).

I use the Port "0" to listen to the incoming text message.

Find the solution.

1 cannot use MessageConnection and DatagrammConnection in a single application.

2. based on OS 4.6 listening to outgoing SMS (CDMA or GSM) I use net.rim.blackberry.api.sms.SendListener and DatagramConnection to listen to memo SMS (CDMA)

3 GSM work with OutboundMessageListener to listen to the outgoing message and MessageListener entrants.

  • Smartphones with Verizon and Sprint blackBerry curve

    Does anyone use the 8330 with Sprint? How to compare with the Verizon 8330?

    had both, but verizon has been more expensive in terms of the tariff formula.  I also have a better sprint than verizon company discount.  Get a set much more with more cheaper sprint - as sprint example allows a navigation, email, internet, tv, unlimited SMS with a 450 voice plan minutes most nights start at 19:00 for 69.99 while verizon gives you email, internet, unlimited SMS and more a package of 450 votes for 99.99 and nights after 21:00.  Sprint lag a bit slower than verizon in terms of speed of the internet and of online applications, but barely noticeable.  I got all the companies and verizon internet is the fastest and the sprint just behind.  at & t and t-mobile are not so great.  the only thing is that sprint towers exist not everywhere like verizon.  I live in the NYC area and cover is great.  other places may have horrible service according to how far you are from these towers or antennas.

  • Texts began to send as SMS (green) and not of iMessage (blue).

    Broke it with my girlfriend a few weeks ago.

    I sent him a text today and he sent as a SMS instead of iMessage.

    This could mean blocked me? I know have iOS 9 would be always indicated as a same iMessage if blocked, but not too sure if she has 9 installed on his iOS.

    Several possible explanations... maybe, she changed to a manufacturer of different phones, or it is off data cellular and Wi - Fi range or off iMessage. I'm not 100% sure what happens when a person is blocked, but if the message went through (as SMS) I guess that means that you don't get stuck.

  • Send SMS IMessage and android

    My friend recently got a new phone and a new number, which stood as an android from the text message said box. When I tried to answer, he went through as an iMessage, but she has not received it because iMessages do not go to android phones. When I type the number in the "to:" part of the message, it appears as an iPhone when it is not. I deleted his number p hone and added again, which did not work. I disabled iMessage that lets send me SMS messages on his phone and he's going through, but it does not work when I turn it back on iMessage. I don't have this problem when the e-mail of others who do not have iPhones & I'm honestly just really confused.

    Your friend did not bother de-register the iPhone they used to iMessage.

    They need to follow the instructions here: https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage

  • IPad 4 AT & T and Sprint

    I have an iPad 4 I used on the network AT & T. Question is can I use this on a Sprint network by replacing the SIM card or Sprint is a different technology? I bought the iPad in an Apple store and not from AT & T. thanks.

    Hi Lebastinian,

    Welcome to the communities of Apple Support! I'm kinda not clear about the exact model of the iPad you currently have, but if you want more information about the supported models networks, you can find the following items & pages useful:

    Identify your iPad - Apple Support model

    Also, if you happen to have a model that accompanies or supports a SIM Apple card, you can change your network data directly from the device, as shown below:

  • Help with RTSP and Sprint Samsung Rant (M540) - works only with WVC54GCA!

    I have a Samsung M500, who worked with my WVC54GCA but like my wife and I qualified for upgrades of $150.00 rebate we both had the Samsung Rant (M540) and I can't get the phone to play the camera feed to save my life.

    I used the same configuration (rtsp://tzo-address:554 / PIN) who worked with the M500 and beedoo.  The M540 uses Polaris browser (I think).  I even tried the OperaMini browser and could not get this to work.

    Nobody has had any luck with this model?  We can return to the Sprint and return the phones and try other phones they have, just to make sure that we get the model that works.

    TIA

    Scott

    Given that the camera supports more than two concurrent users, I was eager to each of our cell phones to access the RTSP feed on this camera.  Unfortunately, the Samsung M540 does not support this flow.  I am able to access, but which is not exactly what we want.

    Since then, I went to the Sprint store and exchanged them for the Samsung M520 which has no problem.  We have access to great food!

  • Client AnyConnect and Sprint 4G

    I have a couple of ASA5520, used to access remote vpn. We use the customer client Anyconnect AnyConnect 3.0.2052. Many users use Sprint and is beginneng for cellular modems capable of 4G.  Users cannot connect through 4G.  They get an error message indicating that the AnyConnect client could not verify changes to the transfer table.  However, using the same material and the same Sprint cellular modem (Novatel) software, they can connect using 3 G. I've seen this with Windows using Windows XP clients.

    If anyone else has experienced this?

    Doug,

    There was a recent bug filed against this problem and should be already set in 3.0.4xxx

    http://Tools.Cisco.com/support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCtq95503

    But then again, not sure if problem would or would not continue for your pair of dongle/operator.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can receive messages SMS /MMS SMS ICON and get error

    I have a blackberry bold 9000.  I downloaded an update this afternoon via Blackberry App World.  After the update and reboot, I get an eception exception Java lang null pointer exception error and my ICON of Message Tes\xt is missing and unable to receive text messages.

    I removed the battery while the phone is turned on and put it back in... No help

    I went to options and made sure the mailbox was created to separate instead of the handset.

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Hmmm... First of ALL, make another software.  Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for about FIVE minutes and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

    If it still fails, you will need to save and reload the operating system.

    See the link below for download and simple installation instructions.

    First find your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

    Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • Motorola Assist and 3rd party sms applications?

    Someone had some luck using third-party sms apps and Assist together?

    @MeganC1985

    I've seen users report that when they upgraded to the new Hangouts Google that assistance would not work either. So I don "t think this would work with any third-party SMS apps.

    I hope that bike will fix the problem of Hangouts as it seems when 4.4 is hangouts is the main messaging applications.

    I have a Nexus 5 it is why I know hangouts as the main email application.

    Thank you

  • Logs of the SMS and MMS

    Hello

    I want to show all sent and received sms and mms with the date and time in my application but I could not find thease details.

    Please help me

    There is no API that expose this information.  You request could listen to incoming SMS messages and build its own database containing this information.  It is not possible for the MMS but.  You can capture only MMS messages sent to your application.

  • BB10 WebWorks: how to call SMS app with content filled beforehand and without a phone number?

    Say that I want to share content via SMS, App can prepare the content, launch the SMS application and users enter the number of the recipient.

    Is this possible? BB10 WebWorks call APIs seems to require pre-filling the destination number.

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/documentation/text_messages.html

    Thank you

    I found another way, instead of directly calling the SMS app, I can call target selector API actions and from there I select SMS or Email or BBM or Facebook or Twitter, LinkedIn, line break work well, a single API call solves all registered social work services.

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/APIs/BlackBerry.Invoke.card.html#.invokeTargetPicker

    try {}
    application of var = {}
    Action: "bb.action.SHARE."
    data : 'Line 1' + '\n ' +.
    'Line 2' + '\n ' +.
    'Line 3' + '\n ';
    MIME: "text/plain",
    target_type: ['MAP']
    };

    () blackberry.invoke.card.invokeTargetPicker
    asks,
    "Share."
    function (successEvt) {},
    {function (errorEvt)}
    );
    }
    {} catch (e)
