Snipping Tool function is incompatible

With the help of Home Premium and cutting tool works sporadically.

Seems to work on laptop XP, but not the computer.

My decision on the Win 7 version was based on the ability to have a user computer remotely control to solve problems.

IMPOSSIBLE to have a newspaper to a friend or a parent to do this.

Must have the advanced version to do.

I've been so specific on this subject when I ordered from Dell and raised his eyes the table of features with each version.

The cutting tool does not always. Why?

Hello

1. have there been recent changes to the computer before the show?

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

Method 1: try to scanner SFC [SFC system] on the computer that would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Method 2: If the problem persists, then try to set up your computer in a clean boot state, and check to see if the same problem happens.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

Hope this information is helpful

  • Windows 7 Snipping Tool has disappeared

I just went to use my cutting tool and I can't find it anywhere.  It has been pinned on my front desk. I don't find it in Accessories, System32, or by performing a search.  Any help would be appreciated!

You don't have to mention 'Tablet PC optional components ' must be enabled in the dialog box 'Windows turn features on or off ' (left column) of the Panel "programs and features ". Even if you don't have a tablet PC, this option must be checked to activate the Snipping Tool. I lost the Snipping Tool when I disabled these functions on my PC.

    Hello

Hi the Snipping Tool works well on desktop applications in Windows 8, but not on the store modern user interface applications.

For the modern user interface applications, there is a function of automatic screenshot that you can use. After you have created the screenshot, you can open the image in paint or your favorite image editor and crop the image.

To take a screenshot, just press Windows key + PRTSCN.

The screenshot will be saved to the C:\Users\your utilisateur\Mes Pictures\Screenshots folder.

  • Windows 10 Snipping Tool works only with Firefox

I've uppgraded Windows 8.1 to 10. The cutting tool works in W8.1. Got the new tool from Snippping W10. It works with Edge and other apps, but when I click on the new button, when I'm in Firefox I just get a completely gray screen. I have tried on several Web site and get the same grey screen.

Hello, I found the source of my problem. This is the IBM Security Trusteer report software. It has an option to block the screen capture. This must have turned on when I upgraded to Windows 10. I have this turned off and the Snipping Tool now works with Firefox.

  • HP Envy 5530: HP Envy 5530 truncates (chops) image of Snip and Snipping Tool Windows 10, Word 2007

Hello. My HP Envy 5530 newly purchased printer truncates images captured from Snip, Snipping Tool and screen printing. Image appears perfectly when placed in MS Word, PowerPoint, MS-Paint, etc., however, when printing on the 5530 want appears the image enlarged, as well as 30% or more of the image gets truncated or cut off.  I have tried other "resolutions" posted, but they do not work. I wasn't able to find a driver for the HP 9800, as suggested in another post (HP says it is not available). Everything worked before installing this HP 5530 (I used Lexmark printer). I am on Windows (to date) 10 MS Office 2007 and reinstalled Snip & Snipping Tool. I uninstalled and reinstalled the HP 5530 and I ran the Scan Doctor utility that will return no error found. Does anyone have a similar problem and especially a solution?

    @PoloChrome

With no idea what you have tried (other "resolutions"), I offer the following to your attention:

    • Ensure your PDF viewer / reader software is on the latest version available for your operating system.  This is not negligible.  Create a Restore Point before the update / modify the software system yiour.
    • Never use copy - paste when you add images to your document (Word) > use Insert
    • Control image format when you change the size of the inserted picture
    • Consider "line spacing" when you insert a picture into the document using "tight" / options "Wrap Text".
    • Keep the image within the borders of the minimum margin - if all else fails, change the margins in "Close" to give more images of space
    • Consider that Office Word 2007 cannot respond to Windows 10 as expected
    • Make sure that you allow updates include patches Office 2007 available (assuming these are available)

  • What happened to Snipping Tool?

HP Pavilion Slimline s5213w running under Windows 7 64-bit

    1. earlier today, I ran Snipping Tool for the first time: START-online snip => enter; Select the tool-online entry. It worked fine and I did a snip and saved. A few minutes later I tried again and this time instead of "Tool captures" all I could get was "saving steps to reproduce a problem. How can I get that back?

    2. According to the AskLeo cutting tool should be available under the menu START-accessories online, but he's not here.

I can still get to the tool, but not in the menu START. In addition, support allows access to the Snipping Tool and it explains how to use but it says Nothing about how to access outside assistance.

    Hello

Step 1: Make sure the executable Snipping Tool is always present on your system (and has not been removed by a virus)

The executable file must be located in C:\Windows\System32\SnippingTool.exe

Step 2: To start, you have different options:

-Double-click on the executable file located in "C:\Windows\System32\.

OR - Press Win + R, then type "snippingtool" (without the quotes) and validate

OR - right-click on the executable and select "pin to taskbar" or "pin to start menu", to create shortcuts to these places

OR - right-click on the executable and select "create shortcut" and then move the shortcut to the place you want.

    I'm on a new Toshiba Satellite, AMDx64dualCoreblahblahblah...

My 8 year running original OEM XP Dell sweeps the new Toshiba and Vista...
Suggestions? I just need the screen shot. I prefer not to go by hack Adobe or something just to fill the void left by Vista... and hurtling to Fry is not possible at this time...

  • Remove the Snipping Tool

January 14, 2009 I got my office restarted by Microsoft, the capture tool was pinned in the Start Menu,.

After the re - start the capture tool had been removed from the Start Menu, so far I have been unable to locate

the tool captures in the programmes and subprogrammes.  I've damaged the optic nerves and I found

the tool captures to be more convenient to view, print (things like bus schedules, entertainment),

to accommodate my eye problems.  How to re - install the tool captures in my programs and start

    Menu, please.

I am assuming that you tried the research of the cutting tool by typing snip in the search box on the Start Menu. If not, please try that first. Otherwise, you should be able to locate the Snipping tool in your system32 folder.
    Here's how:
    1. open Windows Explorer (start > computer)
    2. double-click on the "C" drive (the drive where your operating system is installed, or the C drive).
    3. double-click on the "Windows" folder The system warns you that the files in this folder are the essential system files and should not be modified or removed. Continue nevertheless.
    4. scroll down and find the contents of the folder "System32". Double click on it.
5 organize the files in alphabetical order by name and scroll down to the section "s". Looking for a file named "SnippingTool.exe. Once you have found it, right-click on it and choose "Pin to Start Menu" or "Add to Quick Launch" as you wish. This will create a new shortcut for the tool in your Start menu or on your Quick Launch bar. Or, if you prefer, you can choose "send to" and then "desktop (create shortcut)" in the context menu instead. This will create a shortcut tool cutting on your desktop. Under no circumstances should you delete or move the 'SnippingTool.exe' file in the System32 folder, however.
Please let us know if this solves your problem.
    Best wishes

  • Where is Snipping Tool? If deleted accidentally, how can I get a copy for Windows Vista?

Where is Snipping Tool? If deleted accidentally, how can I get a copy for Windows Vista?

    Hello Bob w. NY

Click on the Start button and type capture in the search box menu star. The cutting tool application should appear at the top of the search results.

As the cutting tool is an integral part of Windows, you might have to reinstall windows to return to the tool. Assuming, of course, you had accidentally deleted.
