SOA suite 11.1.1.3 support on weblogic 10.3.5

Hi all

Is SOA Suite 11.1.1.3 version on weblogic taken 10.3.5 supported?
I mean, if the weblogic is upgraded to 10.3.5 10.3.3, must I also upgrade soa suite 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.1.5? Is - this mandatory?

Please let me know.
Thank you.

PK

Yes PK you must upgrade to 11.1.1.5.Because soa 11.1.1.3 won't work with weblogic 10.3.5

  • License for SOA Suite 11 g includes the application server

I'm searching through the information about the version 11 g SOA and it does not include a license to the WebLogic Server. Can anyone confirm that I need to allow the appropriate WebLogic 11 g of basis to perform SOA Suite 11 g on separately. I wish I could find a definitive statement about this on the website of Oracle or in the documentation.

I really disagree with you be here.

There are two ways to buy SOA Suite according to http://www.oracle.com/corporate/pricing/technology-price-list.pdf

A case for non-oracle middleware (essentially Websphere or JBoss now since weblogic's oracle)

One option for the Weblogic Suite. You can't buy SOA Suite standalone, you must buy it with Weblogic Suite.

Finally, what you say is not necessarily true about the upgrade. Yes, updates are normally included in the support budget, but more current owners of SOA Suite purchased by the Internet Application Server EE (OC4J). Running to 11g on OC4J is not an option, then they will have to migrate licenses of Weblogic Suite, which are more expensive. If you have purchased SOA 10 g recently with Weblogic Suite, you can freely move to 11g.

  • Installation of SOA Suite 11g

    Hello

I am an oracle applications developer and want to learn how SOA. I would like to install SOA suite 11 g on my computer laptop windows 7, but I read an article on apps2fusion.com, saying it would slow down terribly and may even corrupt Windows operating system files.

Is that true and if so, how install it safely without any mess. This could be a basis of SB, but I couldn't find a good online documentation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

I wouldn't worry about installing corrupt Windows operating system files.  However, it will definitely slow down your PC.  If you are looking for a facility that won't affect your ability to use Windows, I download Oracle virtual box install an OS in VirtualBox and then install SOA Suite in the VirtualBox.  This will allow you to 'fork' more soa and all of its components still active as the database, when you do not need.

Once you have downloaded virtualBox, install your operating system preferred in it.  If you are using Windows 7 and you want it to be the OS used inside VirtualBox, you will need a special touch to it.  However, there are a multitude of free Linux variant. My favorite is CentOS.

Once you have installed an operating system in VB Oracle, so go ahead and download the appropriate files to install SOA Suite.  Please note that SOA suite installation locally requires the installation of Weblogic, a local database Oracle (the database single user works fine), as well as the installation of the entire suite SOA. In addition, you'll also probably want to download and install SOAPUi which is a great tool to test service endpoints.

To get all this to work properly, you will need a lot of RAM.  Currently, my Toolbox (running on Windows 7 Pro, not in VB Oracle) can use (including the total operating system) up to 5.5 GB.  For the above configuration, I would suggest that this amount is available for your VirtualBox and more whatever your OS needs on the host system.

Alternatively, if you install the largest components (Weblogic and the database) on a server, you can simply use in your tests.

Please let me know if that helps.

    Hi Martin
As far as I know, the licenses are different for these two products.
1 Weblogic Server has its own license and this Weblogic Suite DO NOT include all of the SOA Suite components. It includes just coherence and weblogic server.
2 SOA Suite has its own license and that don't include any Weblogic Server. SOA Suite includes as rules of trade by components, BPM, soa, BAM, etc. WebServicesManagement. Now, this SOA Suite can be installed only on the Weblogic Server.

So if you want to use SOA/BPM Suite, then first you must purchase a license for Weblogic Server. Then buy license Suite SOA/BPM.

That's how it was 2 years back when 11.3 SOA was released. I think that same thing also applies to the latest versions.

Incase if licensing has changed recently, I hope that someone on the team of Oracle products, can share their views.

    Thank you

  • Can I use the same Weblogic Server for soa suite 11 g and OSB panels?

    Hi all

Is it possible to use the same server weblogic for SOA suite 11 and OSB?

    Hi Arun,

SOA 11 g is running on weblogic version 10.3.2 OSB is running on weblogic 10.3, so you can't have two SOA suite 11 g and the OSB on weblogic even (not EVEN in the two areas of same weblogic). You must have two facilities of weblogic. (at this time)

After the next release of OSB (planned for H2), you can run both the same weblogic.

  • DR Set for Oracle SOA SUite

    Hi all

We have to implement DR for environment SOA HA Production. Here is the overview of our production environment:

1 load balancer F5 to load balance requests on the web node.
    2. two nodes of the web - OHS layer is hosted on the nodes
    3. two node cluster - SOA and OSB cluster SOA is installed on both production AppS node (Oracle SOA suite 11 g on dual Cluster node)
    4 node RAC database

    Infrastructure avilable Dr. implemented are:

    1 one Web node
    2. a single Application node
    3. the database node

A standby node updated database in place is already done for DR replication on the end of DB.

We have to set up the Web and Application Tier npw.

Most of the documentation of Oracle that I lived contains as configuration. that is the DOUBLE knot DR put in place to double knot prod environment.

But here, in our case 1 Web and applications 1 node Dr. While for production, we have 2 Web and 2 nodes of Apps.

What should be the best approach to DR configuration with available infrastructure above. Should we just install the binary files on standalone DR nodes and route traffic through while we load balancer activity DR?

Is replication required disk for everything other than JMS queue store directories? If reproduce us the JSM file storage will be relevant at the DR site?

Is this Setup looks doable or do I consider something lse as well?

Configuration asymmetrical DR for products of BCI is flly supported by Oracle, this can be achieved by creating alias on the primary and DR server name and set the services to listen on the alias name.

  • Calculation of the licenses for Weblogic and SOA Suite

    Hi gurus,

Being an oracle DBA, I give myself a task to calculate for a weblogic suite and soa oracle licenses. I went through a few docs, but there are many jargon that I didn't understand.

If someone could please help me get information below

    (1) how the oracle County allows for WEBLOGIC and SOA suite. Does rely on the counts of base as in the case of Enterprise edition?

    (2) how to find information on licenses. Any support notes?

    Kind regards

    Lancerique.

    Hi there Lancerique,

    (1) how the oracle County allows for WEBLOGIC and SOA suite. Does rely on the counts of base as in the case of Enterprise edition?

Oracle has the licenses of WebLogic Server (Enterprise Edition and Suite) and SOA Suite in the same way they do for EA DB, i.e. using the basic factor and multiplying by the number of cores. I'm sure you're familiar with the hard and soft political partitioning of Oracle (to run the Oracle products in virtualized environment)

    (2) how to find information on licenses. Any support notes?

As for the database, Oracle provides "Licensing information" contained in the documentation. You can find details about what is included in each of the FMW SKU licensed by Oracle. For the 12.1.3 version, you can find the license here news - Oracle Fusion Middleware Licensing Information Manual® - materials.

You should consider the development and test environments, if you plan to build their. They must also be licensed.

And one more Council - as FMW products consist of several components, if you want to run the individual component on different machines (for example, Oracle BAM and Oracle SOA on a machine running on another) must summarize all hearts (in the example for the two machines) that run the prod.

And when you're done with the counting I recommend contact you the representative office of Oracle you check the calculations.

    Hope this helps,

    A.

  • Oracle SOA Suite - mediator for Protocol switching and limitation of

    Hello

I tried to get the exact answer on the internet and also in the Oracle Doc, but in the oracle doc also what is written "Compatible transport protocols, including e-mail, FTP, HTTP (S), file and JMS" but the full list of supporting the Protocol do not receive even for Ombudsman in SOA Suite also.

can someone please respond to these requests.

Q1. Mediator dose provide Message even as OSB dose limitation?

Q2. Mediator dose allow protocol for example SOAP at the REST or JMS with MQ etc even as OSB?

or mediator provide switching protocol but have limited options for Protocol against the OSB (OSB stand verity of the Protocol)

Q3. Please tell me what protocol are supported by the Ombudsman and which are supported by OSB

    Thank you

    Customer reviews...

Q1. Ombudsman dose provide Message even as the OSB dose limitation?

-No, the mediator has Message limiting feature compared to the OSB.

Q2. Ombudsman dose allow protocol for example SOAP at the REST or JMS with MQ etc even as the BSO?

or mediator provide switching protocol but have limited options for Protocol against the OSB (OSB stand verity of the Protocol)

-The mediator is a component on SOA. Here you are talking about the whole flow which allows to convert, say, a SOAP for a REST request. This can be achieved through "Service SOAP-> mediator-> REST reference" in a composite on SOA. Ombudsman is not necessary to have this ability, because this functionality is provided as part of basic infrastructure in the suite of SOA.

Q3. Please tell me what protocol are supported by the Ombudsman and which are supported by OSB

-Again, it is more SOA infrastructure that provides the Protocol for inbound and outbound scenarios support. More SOA supports bindings of SOAP, REST, FTP, LDAP etc. If you can say to your specific requirement then I can provide more detailed information.

  • Oracle SOA Suite of integration of health care against Oracle B2B

What is the difference between integration of healthcare for SOA Suite vs Oracle B2B?

When we were able to implement the Protocol HL7 in B2B himself, then why do we need health care? What are the benefits of the integration of health care?

For a company that needs a time HL7 and EDI implementation, Oracle B2B should solve? Can achieve us EDI transactions in health care? If so how do we do that? Please advise...

    Thank you-

Oracle B2B is used for internet based B2B (including HL7) communication while Oracle SOA Suite for integration of health care is to santee intranet communication. You can say that Oracle SOA Suite (middleware) has been extended to support Messaging native HL7 within a company through the integration of health care.

  • Eclipse SOA Suite Service

    Hi guys,.

We have a requirement where we need to create a very simple Web service (xml + java use only) using WSDL and the need to deploy the same @ SOA Suite.
Is this possible? Client won't use Jdev as they all support their project in Java using Eclipse and they will not invesnt on the Jdev resources separately.

We just need to develop secure wrapper around the existing WSDL and deploy it in SOA.

    See you soon,.
    KK

You can deploy to Weblogic and target cluster SOA Suite. It would not run with your composites, but if it was that WebLogic JAX - WS service must always see it as a web service and allow management of it.

  • Oracle BPM 10gR 3-Oracle SOA Suite 11g

I'm not sure that some body else already asked.

I produced Oracle BPM in production which is fine and happy with the way it works. Its developed from Version: 10.3.1.0.0 build: 100364 #. We use custom JSP, JavaComponent, etc. GRANDPA in this.

We are thinking of migrating to SOA to Oracle 11g Suite.

Is there any tool for that? If this isn't the case, nothing provided for?

Do we need to re - write our application BPM from 10 g to 11 g? What all parties might need to re - write?

To answer your question in the right way, I fear that there is no direct migration path of OBPM 10 g to Oracle SOA Suite 11 g. You will need to write to us - many things like

    1. the present of the BPM API are not public. If u will be something like GRANDPA as OBPM
    2. There is no support for PBL/Java in Oracle 11 g BPM. However, if you want to use the custom Java component you can use BPEL or spring with BPM. After all, each component is packed inside a single composite.
    3. it is recommended to have all of the dashboards and UI user developed with ADF if you are with Oracle SOA Suite 11 g but even if you have a JSP that shouldn't be a problem.

This topic has been discussed a few days in this forum. You can find the thread here
