Soft shock hit cover of the Satellite L855-12N

Hello

Two days ago, I bought a Satellite L855-12n (ice blue). He kept poking my skin like light electric shocks when I hit the bottom of the left and right of the touchpad corners. It happened only when it is connected and I'm barefoot, which led me to the conclusion that it is a grounding problem.
I complained to the store, but they don't have a clue and neither did support the technique of Toshiba... I tried in different places and took place as some of my friends who have checked, this isn't a problem of shots of my house.
The e store is replaced by another, but * it's the same! *
even the model they have for display in the store does the same thing (I actually had to remove my shoes among all customers to prove my point)

I am very disappointed and even think about legal action if necessary to get a refund. I asked an adapter 3-pin toshiba, but they said I need to send to their technical assistance offices, and when this is done I'cant take a refund or Exchange with a new model, so I'm taking a big risk here if it turns out that the change of the adapter does not solve the problem.

any help?

  • Satellite L855 - 12N - keyboard problem after upgrade to Windows 10

    Greetings friends,
the problem goes like this: I have a TOSHIBA satellite, L855-12N, Series notebook.

After updrading to win 10, some of my keys (a, n, enter) did not work initially.
If I wait for awhile, they start work later.
I find that I continue to press a button, (for example the button "a") for a long time, I see that he started to answer, then stop again and then answer - stop, until finally it works OK.
I tried to update the drivers, uninstall and then reinstall, but it doesn't seem to work.
Anyone know what's going on, or have any suggestions?
    Thank you.

    You are 100% it's a matter of Windows 10?
Looks more like a hardware problem, keyboard should replace.

Go into the BIOS and test the keyboard in there.
If it goes into the BIOS and then replace the keyboard.

If it's a software problem, try uninstalling the driver for the touchpad Control Panel, then reinstall it via Windows Update.

  • Issue of recovery on the Satellite L650-12n

I have the Satellite L650-12n. I bought recovery discs out of this Web site to install on my Crucial CT256MX100SSD1. Installation seems to work but then after you restart the computer, this message appears.

"windows cannot complete the installation. to install windows on this computer restart installation. »
    and sometimes:
"installation of windows could not configure windows to run on a hardware on this computer."

I tried twice and it's the same thing.

I looked in the BIOS and the SSD drive is recognized. I tried to reset to the default values, but nothing seems to work.

No matter what help get beyond this problem before I bin batch would be much appreciated!

You said you use the SSD drive.
I guess it could be the reason why the recovery is not working properly.

Formats and create new partitions on the HDD/SSD drive recovery.
Sometimes, it would be possible that partitions can not be created properly because of different HDD / sizes SSD.

It would be interesting to know if you can complete the installation by using the old HDD.

  • Impossible to install all the drivers on the Satellite L855 - 10 p

    Hello

    I have a satellite L855 - 10 p.
From time to time, the utility TEMPRO tells me that there is a new driver and gives me a link to download it.
However, when I run the installer, it decompresses, telling me he will start after wards, but then the window closes and nothing else.

If I go to the folder where the installer was unzipped and launch tinstall.exe, nothing happens. If I run the SMIPlayerSetup.exe application, it tells me 'you can't find our player in your system. Abandoned facility. ».

    What is going on?

    Hello

TEMPRO is a tool that inform you about the new downloaded drivers.
This isn't an invitation to update the driver. It's just information that a new version is available.

In addition if the download does not work properly via Tempro, I recommend to visit the page of the Toshiba UE driver and download the driver from the page directly.

    Thank you very much!

I have a toshiba Satellite L855 - 10 p and my webcam was working fine until today when a Skype video conference, he started showing the black lines slightly as static and the quality has declined significantly. I used the webcam app to check if it was not a problem of the internet and the same problem occurred.

I restarted the computer and removed the protective plastic from the webcam, and nothing has changed. This is a brand new laptop, it's only 2 months. Is that what I can do to find out the nature of this problem or should I just go ahead and use the warranty?

    * Edit: I changed the quality in 1280 * 700 and the picture was of great quality without when I what was that lower that static quality is back.

Hmm... You can check the video settings of webcam.
For example the webcam supports a night mode that allows to use it for brighter images with one less noise.

Also, there are application supports various effects that could be added to your video or pictures.

  • How to remove the lower cover of the Satellite S50D-B-103

How can I open the back of my Satellite S50D-B-103 (botton)? I have to put in some more memory.

You just need to remove all screws in the base, then place the lid off the coast.

But you can get an ASP to do as this may void the warranty or something can break.

  • 5 GHz connectivity Satellite L855 - 10 p

Can anyone please offer some advice?
(Sorry for posting but I tried to edit my post and some how all lost, but the issue of opening)

I'll try again. My wife bought this laptop about 1 year ago. Our ISP is Virgin supply is the cable from the laptop running Windows 7. The used router was a TP Link TL-WR740N 2.4 GHz. connection signal was unreliable. We installed inSder3 which indicates that the 2.4 GHz band is often very crowded his reception was often both bunk and in the same channel, but we don't remember it have been broken. When she lost the internet, the only solution was to turn off and restart everything.

InSSIder3 said no signal on the 5 GHz band. The provider of the laptop was adamant "the laptop would choose the signal of 5 GHz in the same way that he had picked up the 2.4 GHz signal.

Yesterday, the router has been professionally changed for a router Asus RT-N66U Gigabit Dual Band. The laptop does not identify the 5 GHz signal, but this is where the installer Smartphone adjacent to the laptop recognizes it.

I'm old and decrepit, but the manual says that the laptop is compatible with "channel selection of frequency of 5 GHz for IEEE 802. 11A or / and IEEE802.11n. I took it is the confirmation of the request of providers. But now it seems that Toshiba say that in this machine wireless card must allow the use of the 5 GHz frequency, but cannot always guarantee the compatibility of the 3rd part 5 GHz router networks.

Any suggestions? + But remember my lack of ability.

    Hello

As far as I know the Satellite L855 - 10 p was equipped with Atheros WB225 802.11bgn card Wlan.

802.11 Wlan standards operating at different frequencies
    Thus, for example:
    802.11 a supports 5 GHz
    supports 802.11 b 2.4 Ghz
    802.11 g supports 2.4 Ghz
802.11 n supports 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz option, but only if the same chip would support 802.11 standard.

In your case the chip Wlan supports the 802.11bgn without the standard and, therefore, I assume that 5 Ghz isn't supported by the chip

  • Satellite L855 - question about charging battery

    Hello!
I have the Satellite L855-188. I have a question. My rating is at home, almost everytime. So how do I load it? Can I use it when it is still connected to electricity? Or sometimes I have to disconnect?

In General, you can do whatever you want. For example, my laptop is connected to the power adapter, and I use it every day. What you can do is to use from time to time with battery power supply. Just extend the empty battery and reconnect it to the power running. Do it once a week.

    > Can I use, when it is still connected to electricity?
    Yes.
    > Or sometimes I have to disconnect?
In general you should not do, but you can do it from time to time.

  • Satellite L350-12N - upgrade the processor?

Is it possible to upgrade the processor of the Satellite L350-12N laptop?

If it is possible, what is the maximum clock speed that the motherboard can support?

    Hello!

These upgrades are not usually easy and often impossible and undesirable.

The CPU can cause trouble with the BIOS and the top CPU speed product more heat dissipation that could lead to overheating.

So I would not upgrade the CPU, because a new costs a lot to and you get much more performance.

    Good bye

  • Satellite L855 - 13G - cannot use the Webclaim service

    Hello

I bought a Toshiba Satellite L855 - 13G (PSKACE-04Y00CFR) in France last year, but this computer is already leading me in trouble!

The graphics makes noise, one of the USB port does not work, and now, without any change of software, the computer shuts off after displaying a blue screen with "KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR".
This blue screen just randomly (say about two or three times a day).

I would send this computer for repair, but now I find something very weird: Toshiba has done everything possible to hide L855 - 13G!

All first of all without result on the Web site:
    https://www.Google.co.UK/#q=%22l855+13g%22+site:Toshiba.com

Second, the model is not listed in the support Center:
    https://www.Toshiba.fr/innovation/generic/SUPPORT_PORTAL/
When I enter the serial number: no result. Also using the fields ' or is your product "model is not listed.

Third, and better, I can't access the service of warranty claim for a Toshiba product for this computer: when I'm on https://weblord.toshiba-tro.de/Webclaim/ and I fill the serial number, the computer is identified (Alleluia), I have a green check mark for the status of the guarantee and "your product is still in warranty period."

But then, I can't click next and mention "product not available: Unfortunately your product is currently not available" appears instead.

So... apparently Toshiba is is best to forget about the Toshiba Satellite L855 - 13 G, but for unlucky enough to have people buy a what are the next steps?

I would like to be contacted by someone from Toshiba to get an answer or a proposal to change my computer or at least fix it!

    Many thanks in advance,
    Best regards.

    > I would like to be contacted by someone from Toshiba to get an answer or a proposal to change my computer or at least fix it!

First of all, I want to provide you with information on this community.
This is a user to user community where you meant fans of Toshiba. You won't find any Toshiba here people

Now some details about the fix for laptop:
In case your laptop computer s hardware began to malfunction, you can contact the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country in order to fix hardware problems.
Here on this page of Toshiba ASP you can find all available worldwide FSA:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/generic/ASP_SUPPORT/

Last but not least, he should know that the warranty only covers hardware problems.
If in case the laptop does not work due to some software problem, the warranty would not cover the cost. This is why I would recommend you to retrieve the computer laptop back to factory BEFORE you contact the ASP.

I hope this info helps a bit.

  • Satellite L855-15U - soft noisecoming HARD drive internal

    Hello world

I recently got a Toshiba Satellite L855-15U and I hear its current soft grinding from the HARD drive in the laptop.

There is also a casual click and few sound type soft rattle. Looks sounds mechanical usual a HARD drive, but a sound, it would be expected only to be heard on computers 10 years ago.

There seems to be no noise reduction or elimination of the sound. Is - this standard with Toshiba and Hitachi?
My old notebooks were almost dead silent, that's why I'm worried.

It's an irritation more of a problem with the feature. The computer records any errors as well so that there is no obvious fault with the laptop as diagnosis is concerned.

I'd like some advice or suggestions on what all this means, before making any decision to return to the store with her.

    Thank you.

    > There is also a casual click and few sound type soft rattle. Looks sounds mechanical usual a HARD drive, but a sound, it would be expected only to be heard on computers 10 years ago

I know that noise of HARD drive.
I had a few external HDD 2.5 in the past and some of them created exactly the same noise.

All hard drives worked properly, but sometimes this noise was noticeable especially during the reading or writing data.

I guess that this noise is created by head of HARD drive.
From my experience this isn't a HARD drive malfunction but sometimes it s all just annoying.

  • What screwdriver to remove the cover from the fan on satellite p10

I'm lost as to what driver I need to remove the cover around the fan and the heat sink, my 10 p heating is now all the time and im hoping its because dust and dirt that has been vacuumed during the last year and a half, the screws, I open are a real star shaped screws not star philips normal like the rest of the screws on the unit, I hope that someone here can point me in the right direction as to where I can get one of these scredrivers... Thank you

    Hello

Sorry, but your question is a bit ridiculous to me. Until you wait for a response from Google around or ask in some store Kit tools.

My last laptop was Satellite P20. It's a bit larger similar unit but with the same screws. It is not recommended to use screwdrivers not original but I did. Please don t that, because of screw causing damage.

    Good bye

  • Satellite L855-B412 - which makes the DVD recovery to win 8.1

I have Toshiba Satellite L855-B412 I bought last year that came with windows 8.
I have upgraded to windows 8.1 through the windows store and then updated the derivers of the system for windows 8.1
then I system backup on 2 DVD using the Toshiba system backup utility.

When I restore the system of these DVD I get windows 8.1 or the old windows 8?

Recovery media creator Toshiba does not create the image of an operating system recovery real but just copy original recovery image designed by Toshiba.
With other words after using recovery discs, you will have same Win8 version as you guessed it with your new laptop.

  • Satellite L70-A-139 - guaranteed zero when removing the cover for the RAM and HARD drive

    Hi all

    I have a Satellite L70-A-139 youcef.
And at the back of the laptop, there is a cover that is fixed with a screw.

Wil I void the warranty when I unscrew and take a look?
I want to upgrade my HDD to SSD.
The motherboard supports Sata III: D.

    Thank you!

No, the mandate must still be valid.
There is a removable cover at the bottom of the unit as shown here:
    [Toshiba Satellite C70 / C75 / C70D / C75D / L70 / L70t / S70 / HARD S70t drive replacement procedure | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/CRU3703HG0000R01.htm]

Then you should be able to upgrade the RAM and HARD drive.
I think this info should be mentioned in the user manual too.
