  Check the BIOS for hard drive setting.

  Make sure that you do not connect the drive to a SATA/RAID port.

  Old IDE drives - check the jumper on the drive (use "Cable Select" as a starting point), the BIOS must also be set in legacy/compatibility/IDE mode. Note: If you currently use the AHCI mode, then switch to IDE mode may cause Windows to boot.

  Ah... Got it, but in general the USB NIC should look like Ant to another network connection. What you're missing, it's things like a DHCP Server distributing IP addresses to tha devices are plugged into the network.

  Set a static IP address on the USB adapter in Windows use something like 192.168.100.1 and set the instrument to use a static IP address as 192.168.100.2 both use the 225.225.225.0 subnet mask.

  Chances are these days around the instrument and even the USB NIC are 'Auto MDX' then you can use a cable right throug, but if that does not work, then try a crossover cable

  I have the Windows 95 b, which came on a new gateway computer, way back when. I have two USB ports on the back. When I plug a flash drive, the computer is not see it.   It's a flash fat 32 drive. I think I have this problem to be solved.  I had this same problem with another computer, given that I made this post. In upgrading to a newer operating system, the computer immediately recognized the flash drives. Who told me that it was a software problem. The necessary driver was not included in the package of Win 95, was not then in use flash drives.

• Dell Dimension 5250 switch to the USB 3.0 adapter pci?

  I've read elsewhere that it IS possible to upgrade the PCI to usb 3.0 on the Dell Dimension 5250, but there is no interest to do as the CPU cannot handle the increased speed.  Is this correct?  If this is the case, what are the other recommended upgrades (the minimum I have to do) you need to get usb 3.0 speeds?

  P.S. I only need 1 port usb 3.0, the next card would be appropriate (it has 2 ports) and not the 4 card port recommended you?  It's $10 cheaper, and if it will do the job, then, I would be happy to save money.

  Yes, the Anker PCI-E USB 3.0 2 Port Express Card, with 1 USB 3.0 port, should work fine, but you'll need a power connector Molex 4 pin for the card.

  Hello!! I recently got a HP G62-367DX laptop about a month and half ago and a mouse without a wire about two weeks later. The mouse no longer works last week and tried to put his receiver in other ports usb with no luck there. I also tried to do a system restore and uninstall usb drivers and then by using the device driver to find the hardware changes defective. The only thing I got was an error indicating that the software device driver has not been installed successfully.   You will need to reinstall the original chipset drivers.

  Go to the Start Menu -> click on all programs ->, click on manage recoveryr (open Recovery Manager).

  From there, under "I need help immediately" you can select "Hardware Driver réinstallation"-> click Next.  When you see the list of available selection drivers "ATi (or AMD) Driver VGA" and click Next.  Once it's done, click on finish, then will restart your computer and you can test your system/USB devices to verify that it is fixed.

  If it does not, meet with your specific model number or PN (product number).
