Software scanning etc. for psc1350 on Win7
Hi, I just installed my psc1350 on my Win7 laptop. Previously, he was on my Mac. The Mac has the HP software to scan etc. I installed all the software that I can find on the 2 CDs, being the one with the drivers and Setup and the Photosmart one, but can't find any scanner software. Can I print from the computer, but not send the scanner to the laptop. Is there another CD I lost or what? Download HP scanning software? I think that Image area is part of what I'm after.

HP Image Zone has been replaced by the center of HP solutions a few years ago. Unfortunately there is no driver for Windows 7 for the recommended PSC 1350. You can use the workaround for scanning described in this link.

How can I avoid firefox reset my browser preferences when my antivirus software scans my computer
Starting on 19/02/2013 every time that my antivirus software scans my computer (per day), various Firefox browser preferences are being reset. (It seems that Firefox can be reset to the default value.) My home page is reset to mozilla etc...
I have reset Firefox, un-installed and re-installed Firefox to no avail. Each time the computer is scanned my browser preferences are lost.
The following information system:
Windows 7 pro 64-bit
AVG antivirus 2013 current build.Firefox v19.
I don't remember anyone to another report that AVG has done this. In fact, it would be useful to know exactly what did AVG. Your home page is stored in a file named prefs.js in your personal settings Firefox (your Firefox profile folder). It deletes this file? Replacement of a 'clean' copy it right? I understand that you use a HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-all-in-one printer with a Windows 7 PC and you are unable to locate the scanning on the computer software. I would like to help with that.
The scanning software provided with the drivers and the printer software called "HP Scan".
If you have installed the printer on the computer software must be a HP Officejet Pro 8620 icon on the computer screen. If you double click on the HP printer Assistant icon should open, there should be a section of scan to start scan click on "scan a document or photo" that would open the HP scanning software.
Another way is to click the Start button, then click "all programs." Locate the HP folder and the folder for «HP Officejet Pro 8625 series» software "HP Scan" should be able to be opened from there too.
If you don't see any of this, you may need to install the software and drivers for the printer. If this is the case try using the HP printer install wizard for installation. This tool will find the most recent version of the printer software and installation help.

Unable to find software or driver for HP Deskjet 3054
I really hope someone here can help me. I use the HP Deskjet 3054 (-J610a), an all-in-one printer/scanner/copier, one a MacBook with OSX 10.7.5. I downloaded all of the software available and updates from HP. As I walked through the installation process, at the end he told me that I needed to set up a print to the printer queue and I could get the software to Apple for that. So I clicked the button to say Yes and get the Apple software. But whenever I do it (bunches of times) it tells me that Apple does not have the software, I need to get from HP. But I can't find anything on the HP site that I have already downloaded.
Is there a driver or something I'm missing somewhere? When I click on "software & drivers" link above and find my printer, it mentions what I already downloaded and nothing more.
I'm really stuck. My printer does not print wireless or via the port USB until I find this software. Does anyone know how to fix this?

If you still see problems after installing the package posted by Printdoc above you can also try the latest version of the complete software for your operating system:
If none of those still fails with this error try resetting the printing system and then check for the difference:
* Be aware that reset the printer system will eliminate any existing queue and reset all custom settings driver.
Click on the Apple menu and then click on System Preferences.
Select Print & Scan.
Right click (or Ctrl + click) your product with the Printers list in the left panel and then click on reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user name and password.
Click OK. The printing system resets. -
E:, HP ENVY, HP ENVY 4500 4500 don't scan pdf for MAC, only jpeg; used to work properly.
HP ENVY 4500 worked fine a month previously, now don't scan pdf for MAC, jpeg only. Also do not accept the file name. Is there a doctor of printing & scanning HP for MAC?

I suggest to remove the printer from your printing system, using this document: uninstalling the software of the printer.
Once you have deleted, I suggest to check and repair disk permissions: function to fix the permissions of all utility disk drive.
I also run your Apple updates: OS x: Mac App Store apps and OS X update
After the updates, I recommend you to reinstall the series HP ENVY 4500 full feature software and drivers.

This can also occur if the installation files are broken or missing for the program which may be reason for the program does not appear in uninstall a program from the list.
I suggest that you run the program to install the program again and check if you get an option to uninstall the program and try to uninstall the program.
If it still does not uninstall the program, and then try to reinstall the program and uninstall afterwards.I hope this helps!

Windows Update stuck forever looking for updates. Win7 Ultimate x 64 SP1
General information
I had a system that works with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. It is a platform for development and simulation that encrypted weeks of configuration and installs operational mode. It was installed in 2012 after my old motherboard has been damaged (I had to get a new license... not just).
I opted for Windows 10 months ago, but because I wasn't ready I postponed. All of a sudden he just kept tenacious and like a child (not the friendliest approach Microsoft!).
Last week he suddenly put a gun to my head and me has everything just no other choice to postpone, just install. Fortunately, I had done a backup of the Image of the previous day, so with the gun to my head I let him go ahead with the 10 of Windows 'upgrade '.
Upgrade Windows 10 seemed to go wrong to 83% or more with a screen saying she was hurt that she would try again turned. If she did, and this time he APPEARED to go. Then I got to the Windows 10 for final configuration.
After the restart the development & simulation PC was totally unusable! It wouldn't start Windows 10 or it could repair itself.
In view of the "wonderful" experience I really felt not restoring the Image that would be to reformat my OS drive was something I could give my vote of confidence.
Then... I went out a bought a new hard drive and monitor and installed my trust Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 SP1 on it with the intention of NEVER try to 'upgrade' to Windows 10, as it was more "trouble free" than "free upgrade".

So after having been set back a few hundred dollars and having lost several days of development work, I got my new barebones installation:

- Brand new WD Caviar Blue 1 TB (without damages or errors on this)

The problem is when I go to Windows Update, it shows me 16 updates installed, but it ALWAYS gets stuck on "check updates" with "more recent audit of updates: never'and'updates have been installed: never'and'you receive updates: for Windows and other products from Microsoft Update". ""
It is configured to automatic updates, but all other settings give the same problem, no updates are installing more than 16 who are already there:

So, how can I get Windows Update to work again? I lost about 4 days of work thanks to this "upgrade".
For what I was able to see the update of Windows is the latest version of wuauserv.dll. It is an important part of WindowsUpdate.log of today. Note, however, that initially I had intentionally disconnected the network cable, reinstated later, but the problem persists. Note also there are several DatStor warnings about adding a URL that does not. :

Most often when a device does not work, it is because the driver is damaged. Re-install a new copy should help -
