  Assuminug you have a Mac and you scan the front of the printer, the default scanning workflows configured to scan black and white documents. Be sure to change the settings for scanning to scan color documents:

  1 open the HP utility and select your device.
  2. based on Scan Settings open the "Scan to Computer".
  3. click on the tab scan tasks.
  4. Select the affected shortcut and click on change... (or double-click on the shortcut).
  5. in the section of scanning from an HP device, click the blue triangle or button view details to expand the menu.
  6. in the expanded menu now, open the drop-down next to the Mode
  7. now select the color option, and then click OK to save the changes. The next scanned using this workflow is displayed in color.

  If you are using another operating system, please specify your operating system and software used for scanning.

  I got a HP ENVY 4500, installed on a laptop with Windows 8.1 and the HP Software scanner worked fine.

  I have recently reinstalled the same laptop but with Windows 10 Pro: the printer works fine but the scanner software HP is not available! I can't use all the features of the printer this way...

  My question is: why the HP scanning software is not available for Windows 10 Pro? I used the original CD.

  Where can I download the (new) 10 Pro software for Windows?

  Please help me solve this problem.

  Only scanners with a media support Transparent able to digitize 35 mm slides.  The Envy 4500 series does not include such a feature and therefore does not support the slide or negative scanning.

  Is where I'm going wrong. I can't find the Format drop-down to complete steps 8 and 9.

  1. Click the dropdown Format menu, select the content , and then check the box to Save all items in a single file .
  2. Click Save .

  Please make sure that you select PDF or searchable PDF as the Format. You should then find a box to check the 'combined in one document.

  Thanks for the detail and the screenshot, it is very useful.

  I see that you use AirPrint driver, not that of the HP and which may cause the problem.

  System Preferences > printers and Scanners to select your printer and click on the button "-" to remove it.

  Then click on the sign more and select the printer listed.

  Click the menu drop-down use, instead, the default AirPrint option select the printer model from the list and add it.

  Now follow my steps, and you should be able to find this option and change the type of link.

• HP envy 4500: upper part scanning but the lower part of the older scan

  Hello

  I need an explanation of what could of happened to cause this problem.

  I've scanned 4 cheques, but only the upper part of the cheques would be real, the lower part was released as a previous check scanned.

  So basically all 4 cheques are the same except for the date and sequence number which was the upper part.

  That's happened? I'm so confused.

  Have you tried to disable wireless directly on the printer? My thought is that this feature is set by default to the 'go to' network when it is active on these devices. It is my first thought anyway, used to seeing injured. To disable live wireless, do the following on Page 56 of the User Guide: the User Guide, in the opposite direction.

• HP 4500 Envy: Envy 4500 has collapsed scanning

  OK Let's go... have been sighted all the posts related to this issue and we tried all (most) recommended patches.  Doctor scan stops driver scan and says "scanning driver is unable to communicate with the product" restarting does not help, reinstalling the software does not help. Start-up and processes in the system.msc app meltdowns do not help. Is there a firmware update available or is just puff device? BTW tried to run the software on a windows 7 and not machine go. Not more than the snapping upward with a printer usb cable. Printer works well and which is frustrating, because it doesn't seem to be a hardware problem but the associated software/firmware.

  Tried to use my browser to access analysis service and I get a message "the device is busy.

  According to the document following the Officejet 4500 G510 is compatible with Mac 10.11, but there is no comprehensive software features and driver: Printers HP - OS X v10.11 v10.10 compatible printers.

  I think that you will also find the FAQ section in the document above useful. There are useful links to help you install and use the printer with Mac 10.11. Here's an overview of what you'll find:

  I really put t know why you install software mix on your device. In my opinion, you should install European tools and utilities if you live in Europe. But if everything works it is also OK. I just want to make this comment because I don't know if all tools can consort with each other.

  As much I know this unit only is not supported for Windows XP Home in Europe. If the US page has mobile extensions for Windows XP Home edition, I assume that it has been tested.

  You can use a ports from there or all of them are dead?

• HP Photosmart C4580 - cannot print two-sided, w / color, & don't scan on my Mac.

  Hello! I have a HP Photosmart C4580 and just got a Mac. Number of issues,

  (1) after that I finally found the duplex printing option for my powerpoint documents it wouldn't let me not and was gray/gray. I had to change the printer driver to something else to chance, and click on allow "duplex" (tried to do some research). Then when it let me print duplex he'd let me not print in color!

  (2) when I go to HP Scan Pro to try to scan something it says "error, sorry, scanner could not be initialized. Scanner not found. "My printer is on and can print documents, and my software is up to date. So a little confused.

  2. the printer is connected to a hotspot wifi on iPhone (his phone is already connected to wifi University)
