  Hello, I met a strange situation.

  I have some files that were created by the same user who are not misspellings in any word (for example "asdf") on the rise

  The spell checker opens, looks like it is running, but will detect no error. I also turned on the dynamic spell check, and he did not acknowledge something.

  Select the suspect text and look in the character or control panel. What is the language of the selected text? If it is language of no., then there is no dictionary for InDesign spell check against.

  Adobe Camera Raw 8.4 and especially are not supported by older systems including Vista. You need to upgrade.

• Images do not properly viewable in Bridge CS4

  I just did a reformat and reinstall my whole system. I opened the bridge to get back to work and none of my images will be seen accurately in the bridge. They show just that pixelated horizontal and vertical image representations. I did have a problem with Bridge until after the relocation. Anyone have any ideas?

  Problems with the preview function are usually related to the video card.  Make sure you have the latest driver for it.

  In your case, you must at least Camera Raw 6.2, compatible with CS5.

  Fortunately for you, Adobe has developed the DNG Converter that can convert your RW2 in DNG files that Camera Raw 5.7 (*) will be able to open and process.

  I'm having a problem feeding some graphs of the id I tried to drag the work, place the work, save illustration in PSD/TIF/PNG and then place and I have the same question to every hour.

  Implementation is CS4 on Win7 Ultimate 64 bit, i7, 1 GB dedicated graphics card processor.

  What I am looking to place is the text vector-flattened with a reflection of Web 2.0 style created with an opacity mask.

  I have also tried to flatten the reflection and I still get the same error.

  When the chart is placed is extremely low resolution, but also, it strangely fits in the background color which is a box in the locked A-master... !

  I am correctly place on the page and not his mistress, then I'm really confused as to what is happening.

  First, dragging of IT is the same thing as copy/paste. For simple art, you get editable traces, but the thoughtful type is not simple art and it seems that if you lose the transparency mask. As suggested Scott, save and palcing type .ai should probably run (white color), but you don't need really worth. You can set they directly type in the ID, keep 100% live and editable and get exactly what you want:

  

  The background is a picture, and the type is in three additional images in the face, together with filling [paper]. I applied an opacity to 70% (not a tinge of 70%) to Jonathon let the background bleed through a little and the Millennium of the second picture of Peterson before using the gradient feather tool to weaken it. Double-clciking the tool gives you access to the gradient ramp and stop for fine adjustment. Looks like I've used more space between the type and its reflection, but it's all live and can be adjusted however you like without leaving ID.

  I don't know what you mean that it is embedded in the frame on the master, but it seems to me that you have an empty backstory unlocked with a fill color on the master page. When you use the place command in the live page, if you place the cursor over this area of frame, ID will replace the main chassis and put the content in there, as it would with a block of text type. Which can easily be avoided by making a background layer and locking.

  Please try to be more descriptive with your system problems, keeping in mind that we do not understand what is happening when you try to do something with the control panel (issue resolution will be reached more quickly)...

  Click OK and when the system info summary appears, click Edit, select all, copy and then paste (Ctrl-V) the information here.

  There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.

  Looking through the newspaper "fail" message, it seems, the problem was the connectivity to the server.

• RAW images do not appear in Bridge CS4 for PSE 8 for Mac

  I just download PSE 8 for Mac and my raw files no longer appear as thumbnails.  I can open them in the elements, but the image is empty in the bridge.  These same images were fine in CS3 (PSE 6 for Mac).  I downloaded and installed the new Camera Raw 5.6 plugin, but that did not work.  Any suggestions?  Thank you!

  You should update bridge separately from the PSE, and the bridge comes with a fairly old version of ACR. Just go to help > updates in the bridge and it will be updated for you.

• I try to import bookmarks (Favorites) in IE, but when I go to 'file' as the direct instructions, 'import' option is not available for select (it shows only weakly and won't answer). What now?

  Carefully, I tried to follow the instructions to import IE Favorites, as it appears in Firefox "Help". The choice of 'import' is simply not available under 'File', as it is supposed to be.

• Backup/restore problem: some files not restored

  My hard drive died.  Fortunately, I had a recent backup.  I managed to restore most of my files and also finally got access to my file of Microsoft Outlook data (due to gurus on these forums).

  I'm now trying to recover the data for my financial program.  I checked the files in the backup folder, and they understand the data I want to restore.  However, when I go through the restored files, I don't find them.  I try to avoid having to enter again about 1 1/2 years of data.

  The backup was performed on a laptop Dell running Vista Ultimate and was stored on a USB external drive.  It was made using the backup/restore program that comes with Vista.

  Any suggestions?

• Some files reader with an exclamation mark under the icon.

  Some Player files have icons looking weird with either an exclamation of a check mark under the icon.  When right click on these I get a message that the Explorer is resrting and then it does.  What is the problem with these files?  I am trying to include some but couldn't because esplrer restarts when I try.

  These red exclamation point icons are certainly not part of windows. Here's what I found.

  These icons of red circle with a white exclamation point are called "icons of status" and are found in the following products. The following Web sites show the status of red exclamation point icons with a description of how they are used.

  If you use Mozy backup

  1. Right-click on the Mozy icon / in your system tray and select settings > more settings.
  2. Click on the Options pane, then the general tab.
  3. To remove icons, disable the backup status icons Show on option files, and then click OK.
  4. To add icons, check the backup status icons Show on option files, and then click OK.
  5. You may need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

  If the option to display the status of the backup on file icons is greyed out, click Change options that are currently not available in the lower right.
