  The first thing to check is if you have "all sections" selected. Push it + top button on the right, which should show you the section menu. Above that, it should say "all sections". Make sure that who is selected. I know not obvious, but sometimes it's the simple answer that works... Don't know what you need to do, if it is not there.

  Some of the DVDs that will play on my computer are the American market, and some of them are of the Asian market, so I don't think that this has nothing to do with why some of these DVDs will not play on my computer.

  DVDs that play fine in my Phillips DVD on my TV player that will not play on my computer don't yet seem to close at play on my computer.  The DVD that will play on my computer liquidation (you can hear the noise) in the DVD player in 20 seconds and they start playing automatically in Windows Media Player... but I welcomed all others who won't have to sit in the DVD player for several minutes each in my tests and nothing happens... There is no wind sound and all nothing is happening on the computer screen.

  This doesn't seem to be a problem with the driver software for the disk hard because some of the DVDs will play.

  None of these DVDs are buckled and all of them are clean.

  I tried two or three times test each of DVDs that won't play, the removed from drive and put them back in.

  Does anyone have any suggestions?

  Although I never had no problem with the DVD or the CD I burned on PC, I think you're going to probably the same thing, that I've been with this internal DVD/CD player, is not a software problem, but just the characteristics of a lower quality DVD/CD player, and it isn't necessarily the symptoms of a dying man in car , but just a stock car low quality that some computer manufacturers cut corners with.
  The drive in the computer that I was referring in this thread is a DVD/CD SAMSUNG HD161HJ SCSI disk drive. Which may or may not be identical or similar to the reader, you have problems with, but the computer on which the reader is underway is a Dell Inspiron 531.
  Through the information that I've gathered on this thread and on another forum, I came to the conclusion that it's just a cheap player who gives intermittent performance recognizing various DVD, but as I said, the drive I troubleshooting always recognize DVDs and CDs that I burned in it... It was just the DVD movie that I have problems with.
  I dug my loyal reader DVD LaCie and plugged and I had no problems with him acknowledging and play ONE of my DVDs on this machine, which proves that the problem has nothing to do with the software system or DVD player software, as in the case suggested by someone else on this thread.
  Just buy yourself a Firewire drive or USB-2 DVD decent and you're probably fine.

• Capture DV AVI will not play in WMP or VLC

  I'm having a problem where the video I captured with first CS 5.5 will not play in VLC or WMP 12. More weird is that the video I captured with first of the 4 CS will play in VLC and WMP 12. It is not captured AVI DV HDV video. Here is a chronology of the events that took place:

  1 Ran CS 4 Production Premium on Vista Enterprise 32-bit

  2 rebooted my computer with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

  3 reloaded CS 4 Production Premium and has no capture video up to 4 # below

  4. a few weeks later received CS Production Premium 5.5

  5 load CS Production Premium 5.5 (installation not complete an upgrade) alongside the existing CS 4 installation.

  Once I had CS installed 5.5, I captured 2 videos and then tried to play them in WMP. They play for two seconds and then WMP up an error it can not play the video. I tried VLC and DiVX Plus Player and no dice. DiVX player says I need ' codecs additional live show "installed, but does nothing else.

  I kept thinking there is a problem with my Windows 7 or WMP on the first but old footage of CS 4 plays well in all three aforementioned players. Any thoughts?

  OK, I get the same result, as you do, in WMP12. Any other request or player I've tried (including Premiere Pro) played the file without problem. WMP12 would play until the last second or two and then give the same error message.

  At this point, I am inclined to believe that it is not so much the container or the header in the file causing problem, but the encoded video itself. I noticed that the video has had much bursting inside - he goes all Lego Land to pieces. Which could cause the decoder to freak - any other DV AVI I throw in WMP12 very good times. Are all the videos that present this problem like this?

  As an experiment, what happens if you create a sequence of DV, drop an effect on the clip (which will force a rendering) and export to a DV AVI? It plays back in WMP12 then?

  EDIT: I will answer my own question: the exported clip works very well in WMP12. This means that something affects the capture of the original images, or the tape itself is soiled upward and leading to strange results. The reason that does not even the right clip exported the initial capture is because the body will not be re - encode a DV film, unless it takes, and if you do not use an effect, it does not. It simply crosses the DV hardware in a new container file. When you put an effect on the clip, the original film must be recompressed, and that the rights of the ship, so to speak. The DV stream is encoded again, and now you have a standard/playable DV stream.

I downloaded a NEW multimedia player of BS to WWW.filehippo.com/download bsplayer/8842/who worked for the media BS player. I got help with THAT download to get, I got the SECOND version listed on the left column. Now works on computer, next step is to get the "firmware" for Panasonic download on my dvd player, and it will play as well.   I just bought a refurb C250 v2 with the new firmware. I loaded albums on which have been torn by using WMP. Most of them works very well, while all of them are listed, some just flip through all the names of the song without playing them and then temporarily freezes. Hit the menu button allows you to return and other albums play very well. When it is connected to the computer I can click on the songs of 'bad' and that they will play via the media player very well. I reformatted and reloaded with no luck. In Solution Explorer, I noticed that some album C250 files contained a desktop (config?) file where others do not, but that doesn't seem to be an exclusive problem - some albums without this file played fine. Also the sampling rate in albums that wouldn't play all seemed to be 64 k while the rest were 128 k. I deleted and reripped album busy at 128 k, but it did not help. I don't know what else to try.

  I recommend to use software for ripping quality rather than WMP or other applications 'DRM-flawed. " Exact Audio Copy is sorta the standard for those who know the BLADE is one of the best free encoders out there (and it is fully integrable with ABC); Make sure you that Setup you your freedb access too, so ABC can automatically ID3 information for you - fill low quality rips (for any reason, be it real bad sound definition, too aggressive compression, bad/missing meta-info or other) are for losers.   I got a Sansa Fuze 4 GB player in December, and had absolutely no problems with it until about a month. Some of my songs missing out of the folder of music, songs worked, others would be would be somehow in different folders that I did not place them initially. After what happened, I reformatted the player a couple of times, added a few new songs and he played very well for about a week. Then he stopped playing all the songs on it and would just skip through the tracks.

  I had the USB mode in Auto Detect all this time, and I guess that it would automatically pick of the PSG. Whenever I press pause/play as it jumps through songs, the player crashes.  I tried to update the firmware, it did nothing. When I open the folder player in MTP mode and open the press kit, all the folders in it have been duplicated (two 'music', two 'albums', ect...) and but only the files, not the content within them. I deleted ALL this in MTP mode and have since shown no upward. In the file data, both files have been duplicated, and I just deleted the extra pair.

  With the removal of all files, I deleted all the mp3 tracks, but the player still thinks that the files are there. When I checked the player in MSC mode, the files were empty.

  The radio works, it is the only audio running on this player at the moment. File on my music files formats are fine, and I never got a pink bubble telling me that the files are corrupt. I've been reviewing the forums here and I was not able to find a simular like this problem. I'm completely at a loss.

  Try the drive in the settings menu of formatting.  He will wipe away any old files/directories that may be damaged.

  When you follow the web tutorials to rotate the clip using Live Movie Maker, it records the video to the format .wlmp that won't play in WMP.  So if you try to publish a movie there no option but send on Youtube or add Codec, which opens a page of gibberish, or when you try to save the film each option results in error "the device is not ready".

  If a guru of SevenForums cannot browse this intuitive nonsense, how millions of average users who find WMP plays videos of the Iphone on the side, while MS allows their ignorant WMP like some stubborn dinosaurs blunder?

  I tried many solutions being posted in the support forum. I went and deleted my places.sqlite file so that it has created a new profile. I tried to restore my favorites, and nothing happened.
  I went and found out that I had a places.sqlite.corrupt file. As suggested by one of links provided in other articles, I removed the other places.sqlite files and then renamed just corrupt as places.sqlite. I restarted firefox and still nothing.

  You should not copy places.sqlite, if you had problems with the history or bookmarks.
