When to buy a new computer?

I had several problems with my Toshiba Satellite L455 computer.  The problem is with the Windows 7 operating system.   I was not able to get the Windows updates for several months.  None of the advice given to me on this forum helped solve this problem.  Lately the computer crashes whenever I'm trying to put it in sleep or Hibernate mode.  Yet once again, the advice of the forum I had does not solve the problem.  Finally, I can no longer communicate remotely with my printer via wi - fi - and even once, will not work suggested solution.

So the question is this.  Can I install a new OS (8.1), or buy a new computer with 8.1 pre-installed?  Is there another replacement?   I'm tired of spending hours trying to apply the patches that never work.

I probably would destroy all my data so I tried a 'destructive factory restore '.

Why do you think that I he calls "destructive Factory Restore?

Many people believe that their computers will live forever. Some of them receive a very rude awakening when something goes wrong and they are unable to access their files, for example due to a disk crash. This is the time when they are to consider the benefits of a regular backup process (for example, weekly). In most cases, it is too late.

Here's what you need to do:

  1. Get a disk 2.5 "USB case. It costs less $ $60.
  2. Back up all your data from your old machine of Toshiba.
  3. Check on your new Toshiba if you can read the data.
  4. Do the restore to factory on the old machine.
  5. Use of the disk on the new Toshiba for your regular backups.

Yes.  In addition, you are allowed to have the software installed and active on two machines, so if you want, you can continue to have on the original machine.  If you want to remove from the original machine, be sure to disable everything first.

  • Are not supposed to get a Windows 7 recovery disk, when you buy a new computer?

My Windows XP operating system has been replaced by Action Computers, Inc. with Windows 7.  They chose not to attach an E.U.L.A. on my flat HP Compaq desktop computer.  There a XP E.U.L.A., making me a lot of good.  I called Action and Mike told me I could buy Windows 7 to replace my software.  Are not supposed to get backup capabilities with the purchase of a PC with Windows operating system installed?

The standard process is supposed to be to create a factory restore Partition on the hard drive.

You will need to get your provider: if they created this partition AND how to access it.

I'm moving your post on Gaming forum where you'll find a community better suited to answer your question.

Some manufacturers may include third-party games when you buy a new computer, these will have to be uninstalled separate of Windows games. You should be able to uninstall most of the applications, including games, in the section programs and features in Control Panel.

To access the programs and features, click Start and select Control Panel. In Control Panel, click programs and then programs and features. Third-party software, select the application you want to uninstall, and then click Uninstall just above the list.

To uninstall the games provided by Windows Vista, go to programs and features, and then click Turn Windows Features On or Off in spots on the left. You may be prompted for an administrator password or to continue. It can take a bit of the screen of Windows features to complete loading. In the Windows features page, clear the check box next to games and click OK. Windows may ask you to reboot after it's finished work.

    Hello

You can install and activate the perpetual software (purchased) two computers of the same type (mac or pc), as long as you use it on one at a time.

    For deactivation refer:- https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activate-deactivate-products.html

If you do not have access to your old computer because you have replaced a hard drive, upgraded your operating system to format your computer before you deactivate your software or your computer is dead, you can ask Adobe Support to help you disable from a machine, you cannot access. Have your serial number or Adobe ID ready, then contact us.

To load the software on another computer, download and install it as you did on the first computer. Then enter your serial number to activate it.

I upgraded my Adobe Acrobat in 2009 to the Acrobat 9 Pro. I had to buy a new computer so when I installed Acrobat 9 Pro with my serial number, he now seeks a number of earlier version. It has been 6 years, so I don't even have the previous Acrobat program or it's serial number. How can I get my Acrobat 9 Pro activated with my current serial number so that I can begain to use the program.

You can try to contact Adobe and see if they can help. See if you can find a proof of purchase of the old version.

  • I want to buy the Photoshop now, but I'm pretending to change my computer very soon. If I buy the software now and install in my current computer, when I buy a new one, I can't install the new with the same license free of charge?

I want to buy the Photoshop now, but I'm pretending to change my computer very soon. If I buy the software now and install in my computer run, when I buy a new one, I can't install the new with the same license free of charge?

Did you want to say «which intends "instead of"pretend"?»  Assuming you did, the short answer is Yes.

If you purchase a perpetual license for Photoshop CS6, you want to deactivate the software on your old system before installing it on your new system.

If your goal is to reach the creative cloud, all you have to do is disconnect on the old system and the newspaper in the new system during the new installation of creative cloud with your Adobe ID

I don't know where you intend to purchase your license, but I suggest on sources other than Adobe themselves.  There are a lot of fakers / scammers out there.

Yes, don't worry if you migrate to the same operating system (Mac or Win).

    Catalogue conversion works well.

If you plan to migrate to another computer, you need to transfer your image files as your catalogs, which means that you can use the backup and restore method:

Organizing moving items catalogue | Elements 6 or later version

When you use this method, the restore process recognizes if the database version is the same. If it is newer, it invites you to convert the catalog after the restoration.

To transfer the software elements itself, you will need to:

-Use the Help menu > disconnect deactivate your license from the old computer

    -Reinstall the software

-use the same menu to sign with your product license key.

  • Buy a new computer, what should I ask the seller on the computer?

Hi, I think of buying a new computer (pc, no cell phones), what should I ask on the computer to ensure that it is a beautiful and good performance. Should I buy a custom build or a pre-build. If you know a good computer for watching YouTube videos and that some computer game. I won't play a lot of high graphics like Gta 5 card games but I want a computer that can run games like League of legends and minecraft ok. Yet once I need a computer to not base a high performance, but I want a fast enough computer. Thank you in advance if you answer this question.

I don't want to test exactly the games you want to play.  Most people keep a poor installation which may require a 10 Windows Installer Clean or Clean reinstall Windows 7 , but you can test if it's profiteers of start-up or a bloated AV who is the limitation by turning them off as suggested in Clean Up Factory Bloatware .  If she drags open the Task Manager and look at charts to see if it's CPU or RAM which is behind.  If it's then possible RAM, you can increase it-google the brand and model to see which is expandable to compare with the specifications in information system (type msinfo in start search).

What do at the shop for a PC here in the States, take advantage of our retailer giant generous 2 week return policy Best Buy offers full refund.  Then I put them to the test, save a backup image or recovery media to do a clean install to see how good performance can get - since no matter which PC factory can still produce about 20-30% better performance with a clean install as in the links I gave earlier.  This is how, after trying about a dozen phones over 2 years, I moved on my Lenovo G500 with Core i5 and 4 GB of RAM, I doubled.  What are the minimum specs I want for heavy multi-tasking (I do) or play of light.  For the big games I would like Core i7.

I realize that most of the sellers cannot be this cooperative, but then I wouldn't buy a PC unless I could determine these things, or have a good idea of which direction they head you.

  • Is it possible to buy a new computer with Windows XP or buy one with Windows 7 and remove it and install Windows XP? I have

I now have a computer with Windows XP and wanted to buy a new computer.  All new computers come with Windows 7.  Is it possible to buy a new computer with Windows XP (or buy one with Windows 7 and remove it and install Windows XP)?   I like XP and have talked to people who are not really happy with Windows7 and holds XP back.  AND I also discovered that my printer is not compatible with Windows 7 - it is not that I love him and want to keep it.  I can't afford to buy a new computer AND printer, since I have been unemployed for more than 2-1/2 years.   I would like to use XP on a new computer!   I would appreciate it if you could let me know what is possible or if I'm stuck with my old computer.  Thank you very much!

Probably not, you will find a computer with XP on it.

If you buy a computer with Windows 7, you will first need to know if it would be compatible with Windows XP. Probably not, because they are not designed for XP and drivers are not available.

Unless you want to spend the time, you're stuck with your old computer.

and when you buy a second hand computer, because you never know what it contains or is used since, the best policy is to reinstall the operating system

    How to reinstall Vista

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed
