However, once or twice a week, or even more frequently, the router suddenly ceases to send data to my computer. However, my roommate still receives data. So I'm unable to browse the internet even though I am connected to the router and the router gives me an IP address. The only solution I found to do this is to reset the router, which is annoying, because the router is in my friend's room and I don't like to disturb whenever this happens.   Lately, my internet has been slow. Also, I had problems to connect to some sites to download some updates and product registration. I'd get a message that there is no internet connection detected. That's when I noticed that the network icon would increase from 2 computers with a blue dot on them to just 2 computers.   He seemed to have solved the problem. I went into the Device Manager and disabled my network card and enabled then again. I'm also done to restore my system to the rear before the problem started then uninstalled and reinstalled NIS2011. I have not reinstalled IE9 yet. Thanks for the help

  Instead of entering the name of the computer, try to enter the IP address for it on your network.

  I strongly suggest setting "static IP" for your TX and PC in your router.  This will ensure a better connection for a HotSync wifi success.
