• Liteon Cd ROM completely lacking in 'My Computer'. Help, please! (Someone... Please help!)

  Hello.  I tried to contact the OEM directly, but it has been a week and no response.  I hope someone can help me please.  I copy the email below.  Because I sent this e-mail, I found more "evidence" of the prior exestance of CD ROM  Although it is completely zero from 'My Computer', there are a lot of drivers on the computer for him and now I don't think it's the drivers. I don't know what to think, really. "Here are my new results: in Device Manager, under" Liteon CD ROM "(always with an exclamation yelloe on this subject) I tried to run the"Hardware Update Wizard"for her, and I got this response: the wizard did not find a better match for the material that the equipment currently installed. When I look under 'properties', he says: "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device. When I click to troubleshoot, I get the same message ("Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device.   I'm really, really hoping you can help me. I'm about to lose my mind trying to figure this out by myself.  I can't find a more appropriate contact you, so please forgive me if this isn't in your area or service. If that is the case, Please before my email to the section within your company and let me know. Everything on the official Liteon site I found and (tried to) read is in Taiwanese, and I am unable to read or translate.  If you could (have mercy on me) so help me or point me in the right direction - I would appreciate it very much .  I tried to understand what I have to do for 2-1/2 weeks and I have spent too much time on this when I should be spending time with my kids! :).

   

  My problem is the following... Recently, I ran a clean up/duplicate file registry cleaner program (ARO) and it seems also removed some vital and very much needed files, extensions, drivers, programs and who knows what else.  I had to download several other programs, file extensions and drivers from scratch, in order to get these things working again. But I can not for the life of understand me what to do with my Liteon CD-ROM. I also used the registry cleaner deletes "duplicate files", and after researching (too late), I found that it often confuses some files as duplicates when they are indeed not the same - post or file descriptions are very similar, or disable a single number or letter. I lost a lot of my pictures as well, and I'm heartbroken over. Anyway, the biggest problem I've noticed is that my CD ROM (Liteon CD-ROM LTN486S) will not work. It happened immediately after the registry cleaner 'cleaned' my folders and things - so I guess that's the culprit.  In fact, my computer is not recognizing even the CD ROM at all. It of Completely disappeared-MIA of 'Information/system components' lacks content 'My Computer' and when I try to update the drivers in the only place I can find that show the CD ROM (but with a large yellow explanation
  ! Mark) - in the "Device Manager" , I get the error: "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) ». Then, when I right click on it and select "Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device", I get the same error: ("Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) »). Track only of it (that I can find anyway) is in the 'Device Manager', where even once, it's a big yellow exclamation on the "Liteon CD-ROM LTN486S" here.  It is the only piece of evidence that it ever existed. I've looked everywhere I can think of, in places that I didn't know existed. I've looked everywhere on the internet for the driver for the "Liteon CD-ROM LTN486S' updates but unfortunately, I can't find. There are a few items that refer to the "OEM".  For some reason, I think it's the drivers, but I'm not computer very well informed. It could be something completely different. I wish I could uninstall info CD (only) existing Liteon I can find - and reinstall everything from zero (even do this? Please, tell!). Then... I thought that I contact me Liteon and ask for the drivers. It's at least a Start.  Could you tell me if there is something else I should do or review.
   
  My system info: I have a (Compaq Evo) Windows 2000 Professional SP3 XP. For what it's worth-(if this is important) it's a NIC PCI 32-bit, Intel Pentium 3, 700 MHz, 128 MB total memory, 20.0 GB hard drive, CD-Rom drive, CD - RW drive, 56 k Modem and 10 / 100Mb... (whatever the devil what is). Microsoft Update is in place and worked (automatically), and my system is "up to date" as far as MS is going. Help, please!  I don't know where to another look or what else to do. Please, please... Please advise.

  Eventually, you use a different account and cannot see the files. Make sure that you are
  connected with an ADMIN account so you can access all files on the computer.

  Or you moved or deleted.

  So I have a boatload of pictures that I have to deal with as I'm moving off Ebay and open my own online store and the images that I have on Ebay, although excellent quality are not square, and unfortunately, the model that I use in Wordpress requires square photos.

  Basically, what I need is a script that I can use in batch mode, which will focus on the size of the image and change the canvas size to be square corresponding to the current long image side. Resize the image to 1600 square pixels and finally save for web in JPEG quality 60.

  Normally I would muddle my way through this trying to teach myself but I already do so much with this new project that I can't afford to pay developers for help that I would really appreciate if someone could help me with this script. I use Photoshop CS4 if it made a difference.

  A simple gesture can do that. What you need to do is that the action of lot.   With the help of Photoshop Image Processor script.  The Action is a two-step

  N ° 1). File menu > automate > fit Image.  In the dialog box Image Fit you assign Width and Height 1600 pixels.

  Step 2.) Menu Image > canvas size.  In the canvas size dialog box, you assign Width and Height 1600 Pixels.

  Record the action in some action with a name like 1600PxSquare

  Then use the file menu to Photoshop > Scripts > image processor. In the dialog to the Image Processor script. Select your image source folder. Set where you want your jpeg images. Set it to save jpeg files quality 6.  Set it to include your 1600PxSquare action.

  Step adjustment image resize your image to fit in a 1600 x 1600 pixels are while keeping image proportions of images. Portrait image will be high 1600px and landscape image will be 1600px wide.  The step size canvas will add the canvas to make the place of the image.  Portraits will have a border on the left and right images of landscape will be confined to the op and downs.

One that allows you to choose what type of section you want in what concerns the alignment?  In my Cs4, why are the only adjustment sthat work center, align left and right align?  Why DOES all THE LINES or JUSTIFY THE last line left work, etc?

  What I'm doing wrong here?

  Use the text wrapping and Options to justify, the text to the text box. It is the text in a container. To use, click and hold with the text tool and drag a box. You should see a cursor blinking in the new text box. Then type or place your text in the box by copying and pasting. This will allow to HAVE to know where you want the type to be and far from move it.

  What is the best way to retrieve deleted mp3 files? I had a lapse of attention and I deleted a folder containing most of my music files. It is for the most part, the mp3 but there was regular audio files and some wav files in there also. I am running OSX Leopard 10.5.8 on a PowerPC G5 tower. I have another PPC machine to help the recovery, if I need, but at the moment, he is not appearing on my network (3 computers). I'm trying to change this soon. I'll be really grateful for any help in this matter.

  If you emptied the Recycle Bin after you move the folder to the trash, and you don't have a time Machine or another backup, then it is lost, sorry.

  You need to install more RAM before moving to Snow Leopard and need to do before moving to Lion or newer. Buy it from a source OWC or Crucial.

  I assume that you use the application overview.

  I can't find an answer to back up everything, but a workaround could be while the file menu options are visible, press the option key

  and the point of the window will become close, if you click on that dialogue will ask you if you want to restore the changes or save

  pressing Save will close the image with the changes and then move to the next image and so on.
