Liteon Cd ROM completely lacking in 'My Computer'. Help, please! (Someone... Please help!)
Hello. I tried to contact the OEM directly, but it has been a week and no response. I hope someone can help me please. I copy the email below. Because I sent this e-mail, I found more "evidence" of the prior exestance of CD ROM Although it is completely zero from 'My Computer', there are a lot of drivers on the computer for him and now I don't think it's the drivers. I don't know what to think, really. "Here are my new results: in Device Manager, under" Liteon CD ROM "(always with an exclamation yelloe on this subject) I tried to run the"Hardware Update Wizard"for her, and I got this response: the wizard did not find a better match for the material that the equipment currently installed. When I look under 'properties', he says: "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device. When I click to troubleshoot, I get the same message ("Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) »). He (Liteon CD-ROM) is not listed under "config/system/system information system summer/components/multimedia/CD ROM '-there's just an empty space next to"CD ROM ". Even that in "my computer - it's gone." The CD ROM will not work, but the light is on and it wil eject and accept a disc, but it will not read it. Please look at my email below and please email me with any questions or recommendations. I can't take another sleepless night, trying to "find my CD lost. It can be a very simple solution - I hope so. But in all honesty, I really don't know what the problem is.
You're welcome, and good luck!

Rome 1 incompatible with my computer
so I want to play in rome total war on my computer its seven windows and was purchased in 2007, but the game came out in 2005, and the game says that it's incompatible with my computer tried everything please help
I play RTW on W7 64-bit, and after a little violin, it seems to install and run OK.
There was a recent update of MS which stopped in some versions of the game running, see http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-gaming/kb3086255-is-this-a-half-baked-solution-or-am-i/13d4c03e-f04f-40b9-b438-e903eda3cab9 and workaround as of 18-Sep-2015, that worked for me and others. All the details are in the post and article KB of MS which is linked.
In addition, on W7 64 bit I should not install it in a folder created manually, rather than the default values, and there were a few updates to install in this folder as well. If I let him use the default automatic installation location then the game wouldn't go for me. More details - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-gaming/irome-total-war-will-not-run-in-wincows-7/8f0f5f78-b093-4469-9a9e-f6e958e696e4
If you can try to uninstall the game and then put it back in place in a specific manually created the folder and then install the patches on this same folder, then see if that runs. You may also need to play with the service mentioned in the first link above. Alternatively, you can try to update your video card drivers to the latest compatible drivers available for your model of PC and specific from PC manufacturers support web site.
If this does not help, please report it back with all the most relevant data, as any exact error message or the error number that is reported when the game fails, and the details of your PC and operating system.

I tried troubleshooting and I get "unable to set of troubleshooting."Please let me know if someone has a possible solution. I am running Windows 7 family and probably a 5 on the computer.Thank youJDubHey JDub,
Please contact Microsoft Community Forum!
This issue would have occurred after you installed, uninstalled or updated a program or Windows.
19 code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same resources.
When you say "unable to set Troubleshooting" what Troubleshooter you are referring to?
You can try the steps from the following link and check:

You do not have sufficient security privileges to restore your system.

The "Run" option is missing from the start menu.
The option "Log off."... ' is missing from the Start Menu. The usual advice are something in the sense of "something has been disabled in the group policy...". ", and it is probably true that something has been disabled, but you know what something is and what it takes to do about it.
If you are using XP Home Edition, you will get away with advice to use the Group Policy Editor, since it has no Group Policy Editor in XP Home and only
really does not tell you where to look in group policy, even if you run the Group Policy Editor. You need a complete solution that works for all versions of XP and requires no hunting around in the Group Policy Editor or registry to find where things are that have been disabled.
Unless you have disabled these things on purpose, chances are good that your system has a malware infection. The malware knows what tools you use to try to find and remove, for the malware disables the things you are more likely to consume and prevents them from running if you can't find the malware and remove it.
If your system has this kind of affliction, all malicious software tools you currently use or have used failed to protect your system so that you can expand your horizons malware detection and prevention to prevent these kinds of afflictions in the first place.
The malware will be happy you trick into thinking that you need to so something drastic to fix your system - as a facility repair, system restore point or a total reinstallation of XP. This is what it would be like you, but these measures are not necessary.
You must solve the immediate problem of the tools does not, then scan your system for malware when you are finished.
No matter what kind of malware you've used analytical tools, they are unlikely to solve this problem, because they cannot tell if the changes made to your system have been on purpose (you or an administrator who makes them) or some malware changed them, so the analysis tools will let these things alone (it's usually a good thing).
If your system is afflicted in this way, there are probably other things that also do not work - like the registry editor, System Restore and the command prompt, so fix them all at once even if you have not discovered they are broken again.
These commands from registry removes the registry entries that are stop opening programs. Although the registry entries do not exist, these commands are safe to run and will work for all versions of XP.
Before making any changes to your registry, back up the registry with this free and popular tool:
http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/ERUNT.html
Open Notepad to create a new text file:
Click Start, run and enter in the box:
notebook
Click OK to open a new Notepad file.

enableit.reg
After you save the file, close Notepad.
Locate the file enableit.reg on your desktop and double-click it.
Alternatively, you can right-click on the enableit.reg file, choose open with... and select the registry editor.
Answer in the affirmative to the question... Are you sure you want to add the information in the registry?
You should then see a message that information has been registered in the register.
Reboot your system and test.
You can delete the enableit.reg file when you are finished.
If the registry editor has also been disabled, we first fix (not a problem).

How to format a computer. Please explain to me in detail.
How to format a computer. Please explain to me in detail.
Hi Adam,.
It is difficult to provide a targeted and response detailed when you have not provided any details yourself, but I suspect a generic tutorial will do.
Try this series of videos that should help you: http://www.ehow.com/videos-on_5600_format-computer.html. Start with the first and do them all to be sure because I am not sure of your reasons (or your operating system or how you setup or what you do or don't have not available (disks, backups,...).)
I hope this helps. If this were not enough, and then provide additional details yourself and we will do our best to provide more specific information, required to your situation. What operating system? Why are you in shape? What are you trying ultimately to do (there are several options of format and in some cases that may involve or not drive that is bootable)? What you are (your system drive, an extra drive, an external hard drive, flash player,...) of formatting? Do you intend to partition the drive or having a single drive? You have all disks restoration and installation needed as well as all the drivers you might need on disk or to a flash drive? You have a backup and, if so, is it a full backup or full backup of image?
Good luck!

Found this: http://techsalsa.com/steps-to-restore-missing-run-command-from-windows/
I could find how to open the file in the Control Panel, but the gpedit.msc file is located in the Windows\System32 folder and opens it by double clicking it.
BTW: I also found that this Manager opennig of tasks generated an error "Task manager has been disabled by your administrator".
Open gpedit.
In the Group Policy screen, expand (+) configured.-->. admin models--> Start Menu and taskbar--> fron Remove Run Menu Start Menu, by default is not Configured (That's the way I found mine_Yet, no. run box).
I found the setting for the Manager to task as to its default value, setting can be found in Configuration. user--> administrative templates of--> System--> Options Ctrl + Alt + Delete--> Delete the Task Manager. (Still no task manager).
I changed the values for the parameters to "Disabled", Rebooted and the two functions were working again.
Returned in gpedit and changed the settings back to their default (not configured) State, rebooted and both still work.
hope this is useful for someone else who runs into it.
