  Hello people,

  New to this forum just after buying a new Sony A7II and objective 24-70.

  I took som test shots and then went to import my raw files in ambient light 5.7 and received an error message that my files are not supported.

  Can anyone help with this.

  Lightroom must be upgraded to 5.7.1 in order to open the A7 II RAW files.

  What version of Lightroom you have?

  Support for Sony A7II has been added in Lightroom 5.7.1: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

  If you have 5 Lightroom, then you can find out in 5.7.1.

  If you have an earlier version, you must upgrade to a newer version if you do not want to use the DNG Converter.

  The goal is for aps - c sensor camera and the camera is full frame.

  What happens if I use them together? The focal length changes? The cornors will be black in certain focal length? No downside?

  Only the lens projects an image of APS - C size. Your A7 II has a size image sensor "full frame". If the Capture of APS-C size option in the menu custom has the value either on or Auto (default setting), the A7 II will record an image of 10MP from the center of its 24MP sensor. If it is set to Off, it will record an image of 24MP which will have a large black border around the APS - C size image.

  I encountered problem in LR 6 reading ARW files coming out of Sony A7 II.

  Photo can be seen in the library but can not read the profile to "develop."

  It displays a message error "the file seems to be unsupported or damaged.

  I have a version of Lightroom and Camera RAW 9.0 6.0.

  Funny, is that I have no problem when I shoot "RAW and jpeg, fashion a few weeks ago.

  I encountered this problem today when I shoot RAW only.

  Please can any expert help me here.

  If they are uncompressed RAW files must be minimum v6.2 Lightroom.

  How can I activate the black and white mode in A7II de Sonay, AND how can I assign this function to C3? Could someone tell me the steps please? I just bought an a7II and I find menus less intuitive.

  I don't remember the exact location of menu, but it is not hard to find - don't worry, you have just bought the camera, so it'll take a little time to get used to, just like when I look at the menus on Canon and Nikon, it's menus within menus - just takes time.

  In the menus, to the far right at all, should be a page that talks about the customizable buttons or something in that sense. There, you'll be able to go down to the section for the C3 key and select black and white.

  If there is no direct choice black and white, then you must select creative Styles, or something of the same name, which opens all their features some color to choose black and white.

  If this is the case, there is not need to customize C3 for this usually by default, pressing down opens the creative Styles.

  Of course, if you want to change it, it should be all there.

  If you do not want to go to 6.3 or CC, you can use the latest DNG converter, convert your images to DNG and import those in 5.7.1.

• Memories of game DON'T SHOOT RAW on A7II

  I just tried shooting RAW with my Sony A7II using Smart Remote integrated memories play and discovered PULL the RAW IS NOT. Only JPEG files. I talked to Customer Support and it is confirmed. A huge disappointment! As Olympus has had this feature for a while. The E - M1 and E - M10 have IS RAW shoot application.

  Strangely my name is just a smart remote. Not "integrated".

  Make sure that your application is up-to-date. I tried to follow the instructions of Brian (http://briansmith.com/how-to-update-sony-play-memories-camera-apps/) , but it didn't work, so I updated using the camera itself and wifi.

  I tested this configuration and managed to capture RAW images using the application.

  You must be at least 6.2 Lightroom. You can upgrade to LR6, or use the free Adobe DNG converter to convert raw files to DNG, which can be read by LR5. A third option is to subscribe to the plan of creative photography of cloud, which gives you the latest versions of Lightroom and Photoshop.

' in the previews.  Developing module "File seems to be not supported or damaged" message.  Opening directly in PS launching ACR in the normal way and the files are there.  But not in the LR.

  Do you need Lightroom 6.1.1 or Lightroom CC 2015.1.1
