  I found nothing in the manuals or the Sony Web site that's why I posted on the community forum. I found a solution maybe not scheduled for my model, but it worked.
  On the power of the unit (not remotely) on the device, then hold the opening and closing and power button together for about 30-45 seconds. A message appears on the TV demo mode off. Tray will open immediately and works normally.
  If Sony will offer the opportunity to demo I think they need to tell users how to cope jmo.

  I was usin netflix on my Sony BDP-S390 fine for the last six months.

  And now all of a sudden it stopped working. Yesterday. I tried to reset the player, clear the netfilx app, update the firmware. And nothing seems to work. I even found a message on this forum for to change you ip address on the player for a higher last number. (Still wondering what this could do), but that no longer works.

  So, what can I do? Any ideas? Other applications of the internet on the player work fine except netflix.

  I recently bought your sony rdp-xf100ip iphone dock and radio and really like it. I'm worried now after reading a lot of negative comments about people with an error message and the unit turns off and does not yet work. Keeps of is running after the error message, then the unit stops immediately.

  The User Guide says that if the error message appears frequently on the screen and turns off automatically later, then you should consult your Sony dealer.

  I had this problem for a while, so I downloaded and started using the latest version of the SDK (1.2, I was using 1.1), replacing my SDK 1.1 MDS and simulators, and everything started working again.  Not sure it's related, but worth it.

  BTW, just tested and BBM seems to work perfectly in my Simulator.

  2. Perform factory reset for 3 times by pressing the HOME button, and then click Setup (brief case icon) > reset > reset to factory default settings.
  
  
  3. Rerun the Network Setup.

  I have 2 of these apparently now obsolete (bought 3/132) which simply ceased to connect to Netflix. The message says only: "unable to connect".

  I was also getting the problem of "a network error occurred" on my BDP-S590.

  I have read many solutions complicated this same question in this and other threads. And so I tried the very complicated (manually setting IP and DNS) proposed solutions without success.

  I went to http://esupport.sony.com and used the Chat feature. "Levy" was good enbough to do this VERY simple solution:

  1. turn off the Blu Ray player

  2. unplug the power cord of the player blu - ray of the socket.

  3 plug the power cord into the power outlet.

  4. turn on the blu - ray player.

  5. check if the problem is resolved. (It was for me).
