• Sony VPL-EX100 portable projector turns off and won't turn on

  I have a sony VPL-EX100 portable projector. The night last when using it suddenly closed. There is no power lights up more. There was none no warning, no message on the cleaning of the filter (which is not dirty, I checked). It is just off. It is about 1 year and 9 months. Any ideas what could be the problem or what I could check?

  Found the problem. Bad power cord. Here's how I narrowed down. Hope this helps someone.

  While reading the manual, it says on page 28 for symptom, "the power is not activated" it says, "If the light so the cover is not fixed securely, the projector cannot be turned on." So I re-sitting lamp and coverage and the LED on / Standby came for a few minutes and then went. So I waved the power cord slowly and the LED would come and turns off intermittently. Once I used a different cord, the project has worked well.

• How can I get rid of frequency is out of range warning on my VPL-HS60 projector?

  I recently changed the lamp on my projector and when I turned it back on, I received this warning and now I don't have any picture (sound is ok). All the elements are connected with HDMI (receiver, set-top Blu - ray player cable Charter and projector). Prior to that, everything worked fine (only changed / bulb of the lamp).

  I also put the old bulb back in and it still does not work (as I suspected).

  One thing I noticed in troubleshooting, it is that I can not change the image or Signal settings on my projector. He said that it is not available (not sure if it was this way before I changed the bulb).

  I no longer get the "frequency out of range" warning (I got that fixed - I don't know how but I fixed it before see and try your suggestions).

  So now I can watch the cable TV with cable box set to 1080i. However, I can still watch all the movies of my Blu - ray player (again this used to work fine) - no image is displayed. I tried to adjust the video output from the blu - ray player at 1080i and 720 p with the 1080/24 p output BD ROM set to Auto or off function and it still does not (sound is ok).

  I have Sony Vaio Win 8/64 bit OS laptop with an HDMI port. I bought a HDMI cable / VGA and tried to connect it to my Panasonic PT_LB1 projector which has only VGA slots. When I'm logged in, I don't see my laptop screen on my projector. What could be the problem? Is this a compatibility with windows 8 or the resolution of my projector or what?   I'm sure that you start the movie and try to switch to external projector. As I know it is not possible to switch to an external device if the DVD player is running. Please try to switch to external projector using the FN + F5 key combination. If you can see the desktop on the wall, start the DVD player.

  Is there a question here?

  Read your manuals and find a way to use your laptop computer based on the instructions from Sony to connect external (including projectors) monitors for the laptop.  Usually a connection (as you said Windows XP where you have published, probably VGA) for the monitor and a few buttons to tell the laptop to mirror or extend the display to the second monitor.

• STR-DA2800ES home screen will not display on the VPL-HW40ES

  I'm not able to get home' of the screen to show through my projector VPL-HW40ES-STR-DA2800ES.

  I have:

  1. Confirmed that the entrance of projector is selected the right input (HDMI 1).  Content doesn't circulate in the receiver and displayed on the screen.
  2. You press "AMP" on the controller and I see the "AMP" and "rm put in place" to turn on when I press the 'Home' button
  3. Button of remote control and 'Home' on the remote control work.   By pressing the 'Home' key turns on the receiver.
  4. Tried to hold the "Home" button for 2-3 minutes.

  I am looking for a solution that would not require me to do a factory reset.  I got a home theater company do the installation and do not want to have them come and reconfigure.
