Hello

When you upgrade an operating system that you have done, you will then need to install the latest drivers for Windows 7 for him so that it works properly:

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your laptop and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model laptop and also get Windows 7 drivers for 3rd party hardware.

  • Can not access files or a printer on Windows 7 Home Premium system

I have 3 (2 Windows Vista and Windows XP) computers networked through a router.  I have all three computers put in place for sharing files and printers.  I can 'ping', two of the computers to the router and get a satisfactory answer.  My new Windows 7 Home Premium system expires when you ping the router.  It seems that a port entering the Windows 7 Home Premium system blocks all incoming traffic.  Is there a 'port' that I have to open until my other computers can access the Windows 7 Home Premium system?

Given that I had no problem it is networking of my Win7 with OS X, Linux, XP and Vista boxes since the first beta and all the way through for Win7 RTM, nor had no Win7 with LANs ien network problems, something is set incorrectly on your computers. • How can I reactivate in my product key for window 7 Home premium

I have a sony vaio VPC 111FM PC with original edition window7 OS Home premium. I upgraded to windows 7 ultimate. I was disappointed because some of the features my pc. was not able to operate, some drivers are absent, and software up to date, I try to install the updates several times but the problem continue to insist. While im updating I have discovered that the ultimate installed is not genuine.  I want to go back to his pre installed OS Windows 7 Home premium / factory setting, but I don't have the disk. I bought the PC from BEST BUY CA. without OS to windows 7 and recovery inside the box disk installer. CAN you help me to solve my problem? IM know not so much in the operation of a computer. Pls help me step by step to sove my concern. TY very much.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling.

    Hello

This recovery disk or using the recovery of the manufacturer provided disk is a feature that included computer manufacturer, not a process from Microsoft.

And you can't make another a method for the manufacturer to make one which includes updates, etc.

But you can make an image of everything on your hard drive and save it to a hard drive to reinstall, if necessary, at a later date.

  • No printer Listed Port - can't get any printer to install on Windows Vista Home Premium - Please HELP!

I was able to print to a Hp Officejet 4215 with no problems and a brother and then printer started to save as offline and would not print. Uninstalled all printers and tried to install a new HP Officejet 6310 printer. Ran the install disc included, but would get the message error, is went to the HP site and downloaded the driver, still received the error msg - Windows found a driver software for your device but encountered an error trying to install it. The specified port is unknown. and installation of the device software has no error. I went into control panel / Device Manager / USB controller group / and tried to uninstall - restarted the pc and still no luck. When I go to the control panel and try to install a printer, there is no port printer not listed and I can't add a new port.  I have connected the printer to another laptop running Windows Vista and recognized the new printer and installed the drivers and the impressions very well, but this laptop will not load the drivers. Help, please... Im a university student and desperately need to print!

    Hello

All ports are used, and this is the reason why the installation goes through. We can uninstall these devices that are not in use and then try to reinstall the printer. Here's how:
    a. start, point to all programs, point to Accessories, and then click command prompt.
    b. at a command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
    Set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1
    c. type the following command a command prompt and press ENTER:
    Start devmgmt.msc
    d. troubleshoot the devices and drivers in Device Manager.
NOTE: Click Show hidden devices on the view menu in device managers before you can see devices that are not connected to the computer.
    e. now navigate in imaging devices and then Device Manager expand it. Check if there are any devices that are not highlighted or blurred. Right-click on these devices and choose uninstall.
    f. repeat the same Universal Serial Bus controllers also.
    g. now try to install the printer.

    I hope this helps.

  • Can I use the 64 bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium to repair the same 32-bit version?

I'm trying to raise my 32 bit & running after a fatal accident. It will not accept orders that I found here. He tried to repair several times. The repair disk I created does not help. After of countless trial & error, I finally get an error code saying that there is a problem with the memory management. (Repair could not even find a problem the first 17 times) It tells me to use the installation disc for repair now. I don't have the 32-bit disk. The 64-bit version will be just as good?

  • How can I permanently delete a redundant feature of Windows 7 Home Premium?

I have a laptop Advent Monza C1 running Windows 7 Home Premium.

We have replaced the printer on our home network and I want to remove the redundant devices listed by this computer printer. His continued presence triggers the messages that the software updates are available. • How can I remove complexity requirements of password for Windows 7 Home Premium?

I'm unable to set the password for the new account. Successfully, I changed the password to my Admin account. But of course, I had to do it in a sentence. With the new account, it asks for a password above the new password. Does not work type my password for my main account...

And once that I solve this problem, I will do a second admin account to be sure.

I don't know what you're saying.  I suggested to split the task into 4 steps in the hope that we would avoid confusion between accounts.

1 you created the new Admin account? [for the purposes of this test, enter not a password for him when you create as the test gets to step 4]

2 you have disconnected from the old account?

3 you have logged on the new account?

4 you get an error when you try to create a password for the new account? [the password for the old/main account is not relevant at this stage that's why I think that I'm not you correctly]

You are unable to update or upgrade Vista 32 bit to 64 bit of Vista.

32-bit to 64-bit, or 64 bit to 32 bit is done by a new installation using a full version of the operating system.

  • You want to upgrade Windows Vista to Windows 7 Professional. I ran the Windows Upgrade Advisor, and he told me that I can upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium and Ultimate. Why not professional?

I want to install Windows 7 Professional.  I ran the Windows Upgrade Advisor, and he told me that I can upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium and Ultimate. Why not professional? Or is this correct?

You can still install Windows 7 Pro, but it requires a custom installation. This will remove all your programs (you will need to reinstall them), but you can save your files and settings to external storage before doing so.

If you want to make a place in the upgrade you will need Home Premium or Ultimate.

What Upgrade Options are available for Windows 7?
If you are running Windows Vista , in some cases you can proceed directly to Windows 7, and in other cases, you must perform a custom installation. The following table shows what editions of Windows Vista can be upgraded to Windows 7.

    Windows Vista Home Basic

Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Ultimate

    Windows Vista Edition Home Premium

Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Ultimate

    Windows Vista Business

Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate

    Windows Vista Ultimate Edition

    Windows 7 Ultimate
