Sorry, we do not recognize your sign in details

When I try to connect to the desktop application Skype on my computer, using my Facebook account, it is said that it does not recognize my login information. Please check your Skype name and password and try again.

Although I didn't know that I was using the correct information, I changed my password and still could not connect to the desktop application. I CAN log on the website of Skype well!

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I have the latest version of Skype and Internet Explorer. I have tried resetting Internet Explorer and restarted my computer, and still I can not connect. I use Norton Security Suite as my anti virus and firewall and it has never caused a problem with my Skype or any other program ever before, so I don't see why it would be now. There is no way to disable it I know. I don't know what to try at this point, it's really frustrating! Help, please!

So I assumed that there was not a more recent version, because when I clicked on search for the updates says that it is up-to-date. I uninstalled Skype, restarted my computer, then tried to install a version that I had downloaded. He said he could not connect to the server or something and automatically opened my browser to a page where to download a version that says FULL. I installed and it works now! I wanted others to know how I solved my problem.

    Since you are being invited to turn off Genius, you can add music, please use the following information to resolve these two issues:

    Turn on or off the Genius

    If iCloud music library is enabled, you cannot disable Genius.

    Choose file > library > Genius (toggle Genius).

    Turning off the Genius Genius Genius Shuffle shuts and and the Genius Mix.

    PML... It's a tactic that I didn't think to try... again.  Just before, I had a discussion with an expert/technician(at www.supportservices.microsoft.com/support/expert/Waldo).. .He took a while, but he eventually removed the spyware that was causing me grief (TDSSKiller, Norton I think) and he did a few other things... then I tested a variety of accounts several times successfully, the virus disappeared.  But, thank you for your suggestion and keep that account as a possible solution for similar incidents in the future.  Yes, there is a FUTURE...!
