• Root user cannot create VMS within the Resource Pool after you rename the Cluster

  Currently, vCenter manages two clusters. I renamed a single cluster and the root user seems now are not allowed to create a new Virtual Machine in resource pools to the title of the group with the changed name. I tried to change the name of the cluster to its original name... no luck.

  The root user can still create a VM under the individual cluster nodes, but not in a resource pool.

  The cluster that has not been renamed yet can be managed completely with the root user. Resource pools it allow me to create a virtual machine.

  Short answer: no

  Its digital or alphabetical.

  Once in the project window, you can sort by date.

  Could someone please explain to me why my clips in the media browser are completely out of the way in which they were shot?  I transferred the files directly to a file on the computer, then called these files from the media browser.  They do not appear in chronilogical order.  Also when I try to back up files in Bridge, I don't get a thumbnail of the image even if it is checked.  White squares appear with no picture.

  In the upper right corner of the media browser, there is a little icon called the flyout, click on it and choose "Edit Columns".

  Put a checkmark in the box titled 'date Created' and then click on ok

  Now, at the top of the media browser, FilePath, 'Name', 'DateCreated' columns should be listed.  You can sort your media by any of these columns by clicking on them.

  Not sure about the bridge... maybe someone else can help you with that.

  Hello everyone

  Adding directories/files appears like a simple operation, but I noticed that it is not as simple with first Pro CC 2014 as bridge...

  Right click on an icon in the media browser only gives you an option to add it to the list of favorites.

  I looked at many places, including the tutorial Premiere Pro and Google indexing of Web sites, but they did not help.

  It is very unnecessary to have to go down several directories to get to one you need every time.

  Some help would be appreciated.

  It seems only add folders, individual sequences, if that's what you try. in the media in first browser panel, I am able to navigate to a folder, right click and choose "add to Favorites". It appears then under Favorites. If I right click on a file/clip, the option is greyed out and won't work.

  Ah!  I was talking about the project panel where it doesn't seem to be an option to sort by creation date.  At least, not one I can find, not even editing metadata.

  .. .in the project Panel. The list view, click on Date created column head to select sort.

  AE CC 13.0, Windows 7 / 64.

  My Ae media browser with file names - but not the thumbnails - icons and the right clip import option is grayed out. Same for all types of files. File directory and files supported all types are selected in the filter menus.

  They are known problems with the media browser panel in After Effects. You can import items by double clicking or dragging in the project Panel.

  We do not currently recommend the media browser for most users of After Effects, since it offers little additional functionality on the existing import methods. It has been added to After Effects for compatibility with Adobe anywhere and does not have some of the features available in Premiere Pro.   I had to take additional steps to get this media in FCPX - because of these additional steps, the date, that the images were shot in fact was replaced by date (today) that I had to do an additional image transcoding.   I want to be able to change the sort order of the items, I already looked in the search box. I want to be able to hit the arrow key down and see my previous searches in order of last search showing the first. For the moment, I don't know how it is sorting and it is very annoying to have to re - enter a query that I typed 5 minutes earlier, but because I typed in another 10 since it's lost somewhere in the list.   'Form filling' uses a "frecency" algorithm, frequency + recency, similar to the list of AutoComplete address bar.

  I found an extension that seems relevant, but critics are old, so I'm not sure it's still working: Searchbar Autocomplete Order.

  I just reset my CMOS settings, writing zeros for my hard drive, repartitioned, reformatted and used the recovery cd Gateway system to get my computer to Windows 98se - factory settings, except at the beginning of the recovery of the system, when it says "press any key for advanced options," I pressed a key and then I unchecked all the default (3rd party) applications including Norton and left only 2 checked: "Updated USB Hub" and "Windows Shutdown Supplement," while nothing has been installed, leaving only win98.

  Just for the heck of it, I have disabled the automatic updates, cleared my browser cache, checked manually, updates from microsoft (windows) and found none (with the exception of software malware removal tool windows [which I have not installed]).  Then, I turned the automatic updates on, and without even being connected to the internet, the yellow shield popped up with the kb955759 "update"...

  OPTION A:

  1. stop the automatic updates service:

  Start > run > (type or copy/paste) services.msc > click OK
  Double-click automatic updates > click stop
  (Stopping the service will take a moment)

  2 remove the contents of the download folder:

  Start > run > (type or copy/paste) %windir%\SoftwareDistribution > click OK
  
  Open the download folder and delete its content
  Close the window.

  3. start the automatic updates service:

  Start > run > (type or copy/paste) services.msc > click OK
  Double-click automatic updates > click Start
  (Starting the service will take a moment)

  1. open Internet Explorer (only!) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910336 [don't know the titles, etc..]

  I noticed that the sort order for the icons on my desktop is a little strange.  When I sort by alphabetically by name, they go through the alphabet once, then again in alphabetical order.  In other words, there are two sets of icons sorted in alphabetical order.  I had this problem on my previous PC, which ran from Windows XP.  Now that I have a new PC running Vista Home Premium, the problem persists.  Can I have some kind of installation or configuration problem?

  I searched the Knowledge Base Microsoft and the Internet, for this problem, but found nothing.

  What determines what type of folder is assigned a specific icon?  (The shortcut properties seem to indicate that property may have something to do with it.)

  It is normally determined by the installer that created the shortcut in the first place.  Most software publishers are lazy and will place a single shortcut in % PUBLIC%\Desktop, which will appear on the desktop for everyone if you have multiple users.  Unfortunately, if a user removes the shortcut it will disappear from all the world office too.  The solution is to manually copy in all the individual desktop folder and then delete the original.

  All of the shortcuts that you you do it manually (for example, by right - dragging a file to the desktop) will appear in your folder %USERPROFILE%\Desktop and therefore appear to you and not to other users.

  Of course, if you are the only user on this computer, none of the foregoing is of no interest to you.  In this case, if you want everything sorted alphabetically, choose one of the two locations and manually move everything else.  Given that %PUBLIC%\Desktop is most software installation uses, it will probably be the best choice, by remembering that if you manually create the shortcuts, you must manually move them yourself or they will be out of use again.

  Another thing to watch is installers of software that prompts you to install for 'all users' or 'me' (or words to that effect).  The option all users will put the shortcut to the Public folder. the just me option will use your user profile folder.
