• How to import files in AVCHD format?

  Just to be sure that you have completed all the steps, have copied the structure of complete record of your card, on your computer HARD disk?

  Then, with this folder structure (and all the files contained in), did you use Media Browser to import MTS files from the folder structure?

  Otherwise, the only possible issues, I think, would you try to import a non-media, instead of the MTS files files.

  "Unable to read file" means that the destination directory has no WRITE permission

  To fix, you should:

  1. Determine the exact destination directory specified in the Lightroom Import dialog box (it's on the right, under Destination)
  2. Change the permissions on the current directory to write

  Otherwise, choose a different directory to import your photos into it has WRITE permission

  HEY THANKS GUYS, BUT SURPRISINGLY I FIXED IT. Even more amazing that I'm a total dinosaur IT. It turned out for some reason known to herself TB trying to reach the wrong file to one e-mail that has already sent and received, (b) was on my hard drive, I had moved the file to a different location, but it was some time after the message had been sent.
  I had to move the file, restore it to its original folder, attach the wrong file to the message I wanted to send - then remove the attachment and reset the search on attachments for "desktop" and then search for and add the file I wanted to send in the first place. What a parley - but in some way it has sorted all. I have no idea why this happens, but he can help others who have the same mysterious problem arising on attachments and file associations. Thanks for your help - my faith in your forum is restored - and my apologies for the rudeness at the beginning, but my boy I was mad!

• Why can't deselect files associated with wmp12 in the Panel types?

  Under set program Associations in the Panel applet control default programs - I can't deselect any of the checkboxes for the types of files associated with WMP.  I can choose the few steps that are already associated.  How to do this?  Words cannot describe how horribly WMP 12 is suck compared to previous iterations, unfortunately I have not yet found simple, easy to use media player better.

  There are many good (and bad incredibly) other players on the internet. Google and you'll know!

  If you have already installed an alternative solution: make a right-click on a music file you want to play and in the context menu, choose open with. You get a list, select your new player, more brilliant, make sure that the always open with box is enabled and then whenever you click on a type of said folder your new player goes, well, play. You will need to do that for all the files of types which, in the past, you used WMP for.

  If you're still looking then VLC is an excellent multimedia (free) replacement for WMP can play 99% of the media files that you throw, out of the box. During installation, you can associate whatever files you want to open when you double-click it.

  I've got files *. CSC, but the file > import does not see them.  When I import the folder, the error that says that they are not taken in charge.

  Very frustrating!

  The workflow of subtitling is a little different in CS6 then cc. In Premiere Pro CS6 you actually attached the CC file rather than imporitng it. Here's how:

  Select the sequence and select sequence > closed captioning > attach a file. To view subtitles attached, go to menu wing of the monitor program and select 'Activate' option under the 'Show closed captioning'.

  I have a Photoshop element 10 (one) purchased on App Store Editor, and now, I'm trying to update Camera Raw 6.6.  After reading Adobe website, suggest they update in the Help menu but problem is that I could not find the update in my help menu.  What I've done wrong?  So I then downloaded 6.6 Camera Raw Adobe website trying to install it manually, and now, I received a message 'Update shall not apply'.  What does this mean now?  Advice please...

  You can not update because you have the app store version. Apple does not apps sold through the app store to update anyway, except through the app store, and adobe obviously think we should create a new version whenever there is an update of raw. You can do it manually, but it is quite a pain. The directions are in this thread:

  Now I see the date taken in the import screen until I click "ingest". When in the trash, this option is there, but no metadata in there. It is therefore impossible to import images from two cameras and have these sorted.

  Before that, go to Lightroom > catalog settings > General and make a note of the location, so that you know where your main catalog is stored.

  Then, follow these instructions:

  1. exit the Lightroom program

  2. open Finder

  3. click on menu go (top) and type ~/library and click Go.

  4. open the Preferences folder

  5. rename the file com.adobe.Lightroom5.plist in com.adobe.Lightroom5 - old.plist

  Then open Lightroom again and try to import again.

  It seems they have changed the way search works after the update. You can always edit contacts by opening the Contacts app, then open the contact you want to change. We do not know why they made the change, but unfortunately it is out of our reach. I don't know that they had a reason for this. If this is not the case, they will probably patch in an another mini update.
