KING is the only employee that meets the START WITH clause in this query, then KING is certain to be the first line in the output.
The KING has 3 children: BLAKE, CLARK and JONES. In other words, these 3 rows meet the CONNECT BY condition when KING is on the PREVIOUS line. BLAKE is supposed to be a brother of CLARK and JONES.
Oracle ensures that, if the KING has children, then the line immediately after the KING will be one of the children of the KING. Thus, every time that you run this query, you can be sure that the 2nd row of output will not contain SCOTT, ADAMS or any employee except BLAKE, CLARK or JONES. However, you can not be sure that the 2nd will be BLAKE. When I ran the query a minute previously, 2nd row that happened to contain JONES; There is no way to guarantee that, without an ORDER BY clause.

Search for PES 10 files? Do not sort results

I want to search for, BIG in all file names so I can remove them from the catalog. When I search for the only indication I get is the symbol of not, circle with a line. The thumbnails are not sorted. Accept the thumbnails are displayed with no circle, and are not sorted. What I am doing wrong?

I'm sure that you are getting a little frustrated with this problem now.

I am running on a Windows 7 64 bit and I have Premiere Elements too, so in theory, our systems should work the same.

The way you view works, it's what I expected, that if I was looking on two tags and had the option Show closely Matching sets for research (preferences - general) checked. If this is checked then turn it off, close the elements, open it again, and try the search. I don't think that it really makes a difference to your search.

I think it will eliminate a problem of catalog by creating a new catalog. Try this:

(1) open the Organizer

2) go to file-> catalogue

3) click on the new button

(4) enter a name like Test cat and click OK

(5) click on Open - this will create an empty catalog

(6) go to file-> Get Photos and videos-> of files and folders

Navigate 7) to a folder example - for the test, you don't need really all your photos

8) click Get Media

OK now, try a file name search to see if you get different results.

Would it be possible for you to 'tag' data in the comments column. That's exactly how Live and other research, do it. When your search phrase matches a tag, you get a star. Some people use "metatags in web pages to"mark"their site. No reason why you could metatag not your data.

google search gives results in Chinese

When I get a few things to look for in the upper right corner, using the Google search engine. The result are shown in characters of Chinas. Then I go to the website of google and enter the same search elements on their homepage, the results appear in English. This problem does not exist when you use other search engines.

What is the best way to sort?
Hi I have 1,000 customers in the database. I need to display in the drop-down list box. COMBOX is editable. The user types the letters, I need to filter and display the names of customers. for example if the user types 'a' in the combox I display all customer names beginning with "a". If the client type 'under' then I have to show only names that begin with "what," in the drop-down list box popup. for every key stroke, I filter and display the names of the clients.

for this, there are two approaches: -.
1. for each key stroke, go to the database and retrieve the sorted results and display. This way sort takes place in the database.
2. pull once all clients in java, cash and therefore sort them based on key strokes. In this sorting is done in our java code.

friends said that it is expensive to go to the database for every key stroke. I feel pulling all clients at once and their collection in java isn't a good idea.

I'm really confused. I need a suggestion expertise. where is the best? Why is this the best way? What are the advantages and disadvantages of the two ways. Please help me.

I have an APEX page where the user can enter a start date and an end date and get a graph of the data for this date range. My problem is that I don't know how/sort order of the results according to the dates entered. For example:

I need a way to always sort the results since the beginning of the year of the entries by the user, at the end of the year of the entries by the user, any "year" (or part of a year), they enter. Sorting based on year and month seems to be the most obvious way to do it, but I don't have a complete list of months/years, just the dates of beginning and end I tried to work with months_between and add_months, but I can't get consistent results.

If you post CREATE TABLE and INSERT to your sample data statements and instructions CREATE FUNCTION for the functions defined by the user you are using (for example, issue_open_date), then all anyone can do is guess.

I guess Issue_Open_Date (Issueid) returns a DATE, and the date you need sort.
Since the main query is a query GROUP BY and GROUP BY clause does not include issueid, then you cannot "ORDER BY Issue_Open_Date (issueid)"; but you can use an aggregate function, such as:

Let's say a row of output represents December, 2009, and another line of January 2010. As long as issue_open_date always returns DATEs in recent months, it won't matter what exactly are the dates: a DATE of 2009 will be earlier than any DATE in January, 2010.

I have a table in APEX that IP numbers and was looking for a way to be able to sort out them.

I wrote the following script:
SELECT TO_NUMBER (SUBSTR (IP, 11)) y
OF NETWORKINFO y
ORDER BY y

Which produces the results I'm looking for.

However, I use the 'FORM ON A TABLE WITH REPORT' by their SUMMIT. It is perfect for what I need, but here's my question:

How can I go about adding my custom SQL string to be able to use the feature to sort of this 'FORM ON A TABLE WITH REPORT "?

In the above form, it gives the ability to sort by any column. Is there a way I could do a column hidden, associated with the IP column to sort results?

Sorry if I'm not in all this that claire here - let me see if I can be more specific.

I have the IP addresses which of course do not sort numerically. So I wrote the SQL script above to convert a portion of these IP addresses in a number format.

Is it possible to combine the two in the search function in 'Form on a Table with report' so I can get a user sort by IP number, but behind the scenes it sorts using the SUBSTR value from above?

You can get a custom sort order added to your IP column without needing a second column.

Consider that the sorting is done strictly from left to right across a string in the column. The string can be any content valid HTML. So you can wrap your string in, say, a SPAN tag and add an attribute to the tag that contains the sort order, you need to forward the text that is displayed to the user. As long as the attribute is properly structured (in other words, all instances are the same length, for example), then sort will work correctly. For example:

```
Now you must make sure that the PAD_IP_ADDRESS() function returns the correct values. In IP addresses, you have whatever it is "0.0.0.0" to "255.255.255.255". To sort "digitally", you need fill one or two numbers to get three numbers for each value of - so, "0.0.0.0" becomes "000.000.000.000." You can create a function to do this - something like:

Removal of hardware store unwanted VM, while it is powered. -questions

So while trying to work/modify scripts already exist; to identify and "clean up if possible" unwanted material (series, USB, etc...) If some problems of type gotcha. * Previous scripts based on http://communities.vmware.com/thread/137257 - $VM. ReconfigVM_Task ($Spec)

If the target VM has unwanted devices that are only USB controllers, the script works with number (Script generated by Onyx.) It will remove the USB controllers if the virtual machine is powered power

Now, if I repeat this process and the virtual machine has some unwanted devices which include the USB controllers. Now I also include floppy, series and parallel, then the script error when I change to delete based on a list of "equipment" unwanted devices In this case, whether or not I jump on all the unwanted material that isn't USB. The error comes from the vCenter events, no powershell & task. I even used onyx to compare to remove the USB from the GUI and it has always had the same result.

Now it's the slightly modified version that I could use to achieve what I want, if it is not error on:

Note that the index of-1 returns the last entry in a table in PowerShell, avoids having to make this variable $i :-)

I would like to know who among these numbers have occurred and how many times. For example (just to have as an example): number 10 repetitions 5 times, number 13 repeated 3 times, 24 repetitions 9 times.

Repeats = duplicates.

I want to know all the repetitive number and how many times they repeat.

Is there some kind of formula I can use to get there. It would be good to have the sorted result. For example:

32 repeats 10 times

24 repeat 9 times

6 reps 8 times

5 repeat 7 times

22. repeat 6 times

10 repeats 5 times and so on.

Problem of three steps:

Determine the distinct values
Count the number of times each appears in the table
Sort by value or frequency (or both).

The first step is easily handled by copy separate Automator Service, a Service of Automator, written by SGIII. A link to the file in post June 21 of the SG in this thread: Re: Analyzing column (maybe not the correct wording)

After downloading and installing the service, select the cells containing the numbers, call the service, and then select the first regular (ie. non-header) cell to a new table and the dough.

(The following assumes the new table has a header row, no column header, and you have selected - click - cell A2 before pasting.)

You will get a list of distinct numbers in a single column (A2 - A34, of your sample and support of note).

To count the numbers:

In this example, the existing table is named 'Table 1'

Enter the following formula in B2 the new table, and then fill up to the last line of the column B:

= COUNTIF (Table 1::B:G, A)

Results should be as shown:

Sort the results on column (value) or B (frequency)

Two types (A, then B) will be put in order of frequency, with values appear the same number of times sorted by value within this group.
